We had a great time! Very detailed dinosaurs. Playgrounds were open children needed to wear masked on them. Mask required inside for all but outside social distancing. A few areas were closed but still plenty to do. Amazing gift shop for Dino fans that didnt require admission. Will definitely return and bring lunch with us. Great areas to sit and eat.
Pet Friendly!!! Very nice place to take a walk in the shade. There’s so many trees along the trail, that I didn’t even need my sunglasses. It was perfect. And my son was mesmerized by all the Dinosaurs! There’s even annual memberships, which is well worth it I think. The detail on the Dinos are incredible too. It’s very lifelike for a younger child. Last thing, this is a great spot for Birthday parties, there’s so many great spots to choose from.
I was a little worried coming here during the current pandemic. But we promised this for my 3 year Olds birthday. Unfortunately, the playgrounds and other attractions were closed but the gem mine, museum and gift shop were open. I Loved this entire place!! Its carefully staged and its a beautiful walking park. Bring a picnic! We loved it and the price was just right! We will be returning soon!
It’s a decent place nothing to special. I was hoping it was more interactive. Due to covid the playground and a few other spots aren’t able to be used however they haven’t lowered ticket prices. I wouldn’t go out of your way to visit but it’s alright if you’re in the area and have a little Dino lover.
Took my two little children to walk and se the dinosaurs. Wasn’t sure how it would with the pandemic but stag was courteous and explained as far as face coverings go. Clean restrooms and friendly staff. Do take mosquito repellent, if not the gift shop does provide some. Do purchase! Somethings were closed but none the less my children enjoyed seeing the dinosaurs. I recommend.
Absolutely loved walking around Dinosaur World! So much to see and learn about. Felt like the kid in me was coming back out! The staff are very pleasant and the grounds are immaculate. The signage was very informative and I look forward to learning more!
This attraction is a survivor of an era before the major theme parks took over central Florida, and it is a gem worth visiting if you are in the area. Young dinosaur lovers will get lost in the acres of full size dinos. There are an impressive number on display. Not everything is scientifically accurate - in one section there are a couple herbivores nomming on the remains of carnivores, but overall it is a fun diversion.
At the moment I have to give this place a 4. The only reason is that about half of the attractions are closed until further notice. If they were all open, it would instantly jump to 5. My kids loved the playground, and love running around finding all the dinosaurs. Great family fun to get exercise and educated.
My stepson is obsessed with Dinosaurs, we learned about Dino world on a YouTube show that he watches and so we decided to see what it was all about. We made a trip to FL and decided to visit Dino world on our way home, and we had a blast!!!! From the moment we walked it was great, everyone was so friendly! COVID was not a problem for us either! It was easy to social distance and we just had to wear mask anytime we were inside. The dinosaurs were huge and the setting was so cool! It felt like we were really in the Jurassic era! We are looking forward to going back again next year!
This is a fun way to spend the day. Reasonably priced. Well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful. Very nice gift shop too
Great place for kids. They loved all the entrances. Masks are required inside but not out in the park, 8 and up I think. Cool dino kids masks for sale in gift shop $7.50. It was hot but a lot of shade throughout with all the trees.Great gift shop. Lots of toys and souvenirs, not badly priced at all. Some packaged snacks in gift shop. Vending machines out back.Plenty to do. Loved the mining. The kids didnt want to leave even though it was hot.
This was a great place to take kids and explore. They had an indoor museum full of bones, teeth, and informative exhibit. When you walk to explore the property youll want the map to make sure you check everything out. Only down side is there was still parts closed due to covid.
This place is so clean and very well maintained. Super impressed. Excellent for children who love dinosaurs. Any adult would enjoy also. Highly recommend.
It was great for the kids! Its a very good polk county Florida attraction. As long as you dont have your hopes up for Disney, youll be pleasantly surprised. My 10 yr old loved the gem mining and my 2 year old loved seeing all the dinosaurs! The gift shop is AMAZING! A lot of stuff closed because of corona, but the price reflects that. We will definitely go back!
Neat little place. There was a lot of the experiences closed due to COVID but they do discount the ticket price due to that. The animatronic museum was really underwhelming, I expected a lot more than four dinosaurs but it was still cool. Lots to see outside. Its a nice experience for your little one that loves dinosaurs.
Great place to take the kids to explore the world of Dinosaurs! I recommend going earlier in the day to beat the heat in the summer months. It is mostly outside. A lot of the exhibits were closed due to Covid, but they did lower the admission price.
Such a fun place, easy to visit with social distancing. We were bummed that most inside hands on activities were closed but they discounted the price so that was nice. We visited early and it wasnt too busy for a Saturday morning. My kids have fun finding all the dinosaurs in the woods.
This was our first time visiting Dinosaur World with our toddler and it was a blast! We went post COVID 19 and unfortunately the majority of their play areas were closed, with the exception of the gem mining area. This was disappointing but we made the most of our time and spent a total of 2 hours here. There was only 1 bathroom inside the park, they did allow us to bring in our own drinks and supposedly the entry price was discounted because of the affects from COVID. Overall, a great trip that I would still recommend to families with young children. Their imagination will go wild!
I wish everything was open but due to covid some stuff was closed. It was awesome
My fiancé and I thought this would be a safe activity for us to bring our dog to as its all outside but we were wrong. They require masks inside but theres no requirement outside as long as you can maintain a distance from others. On its own, thats fine. But it is physically impossible in some areas to maintain your distance. The park is split in 2 areas and they are separated by a single walk way that is impossible to stay far away from people. There is no attempt at keeping people walking in the same direction so its a non stop battle of trying to keep distant from people not bothering to wear masks walking by you on a thin boardwalk. They opened their playground today with a requirement of wearing masks on the playground but about half the adults and a large majority of the children (that are age appropriate for masks) in the area were not wearing masks properly or at all with no regard to distancing.
This place is a hidden gem! Its practically in my backyard and I cant believe that this was my first time going. We wanted to get out and do something since we havent did much with our children since Covid-19 and this was a wonderful choice. The staff was friendly and the facilities were so clean. Im sure this wont be our last time.
Due to Covid 19 all hands on experiences and play activities for kids were cancelled. But my 5 year old was thrilled. Lovely place to visit. Do carry some drinking water as theres only one vending machine during the walk
I stopped during Covid & hands on stuff was closed.. Some dinos could use fresh paint. Geared toward younger crowd. But still lots of info about them
Exclent place to bring kids. Right now adults can get in for $10.00. most of the hands-on areas are closed. You walk around outside and see the dinosaurs as they were in the wild. The vegatation is fantastic. The was they hide some of the dinosaurs is great.my wife and I really enjoyed ourselves. Save the museum for the last thing so you can cool off in the a/c. The gift shop has a lot to offer. You only have to wear masks indoors.
What a great place of discovery for the family! Its outside so no masks necessary and lots of dinosaurs in realistic poses. Bring your camera! Hardly any crowds and many great photo opportunities!
Very clean and safe. Weve lived in Florida for many years and had never visited Dinosaur World. Im so glad we went to take the grandchildren. They, we loved it. Very educational and fun. The staff were so friendly.
Because of Covid, all of the experiences that are interactive are closed. Other than that, still a decent and informative walk through
It may seem like a hole in the wall kind of place, but its awesome for the family. The landscaping is beautiful and the gift shop has a lot of cool things to browse or purchase.
Very neat gift shop and muesum. Dinosaurs are really cool kids had a blast at the gem mines and found lots of gems to take home with them. Unfortunately due to covid during our visit the really neat play ground dino dig and caves were all closed. But we will definitely be back my seven and two yo loved it!
My son loved it. The gem stone activity was awesome. My son found some diamonds n gold. We were sad the purple gems were all tiny. The Place wasnt crowded at all. Went on A Thursday around 1ish. The staff are friendly. Some areas are closed due to Rona.
It was nice. The prices showed lower online because of Covid the playgrounds were closed but, apparently we went the first day prices returned to normal with playgrounds now open.
Dinosaur World is probably the best place to go outside of Disney. I know that’s a bold statement but I stand by that. The effort to put this place together is off the chart awesome! Not to mention if you don’t want to deal with Disney prices this is totally affordable for the whole family, and you get your bang for your buck. And it’s not just a place they have thrown together a bunch of dinosaurs just to get your money and go, Dinosaur World is educational and interactive. If your in the area of Tampa through Orlando I have to urge you to stop by Dinosaur World and experience the closest thing to Jurassic park your gonna get.
If you come here make sure to wash yourself with mosquito repellent, but if you want to take your childrens imagination further than a movie I recommend it !!
Great family outing destination. Its like walking through a botanical garden inhabited by dinosaurs. A super gift shop as well. Very reasonable ticket prices and the parking is free.
We went here this past weekend and had a great time. The kids loved seeing all the dinosaurs. Its a great place and Im proud to have it in Plant City.
Our first time visiting, though we are Florida residents. Very friendly staff with well stocked gift shop. We compliment how nicely the grounds are kept up and kept very clean. Great day for children who are intrigued with Dinosaurs. We enjoyed our day very much !
We enjoyed the dinosaurs in and out of Museum, we were dissappointed that most off the stuff was shut down even though it is understandable but why charge the same? I dont feel like I got my moneys worth. The woman that rung us up asked if we wanted to buy the excavation dig and we declined and as we walked through we found that it was closed anyhow.
Love it for the kids to be outside..only if they added Speakers to a few of the outside dinosaurs to make noise as you approach would definitely rock!!!!!!
Had a great time...loved looking at all the dinosaur displays..all the staff was really friendly...not everything was open due to current pandemic situations...The gift shop had alot of great gifts for family and friends....also they have recently reduced admission for adults to just 10 for now...This destination makes a great day trip for families from the Tampa, Florida area...Great bargin...We will be back
Great facility, lots of room and space, very nice park to walk through and get a sense of how large the dinosaurs were.
Good value for the money - assuming you have young children. Appropriate for children 3-12 who love dinosaurs. The staff really know good amounts about dinosaurs and help to correct the fallacies that have become popular. All the dinosaurs are constructed on sight fairly close to scale. Some excellent work that includes explanations of the creatures. The children get a free fossil dig and get to keep their three favorites.
What a fun way to spend an afternoon?! Mostly outdoors which is great for our COVID-19 world. Discounted tickets right now which makes it even more worth the trip. Outdoor seating for picnics as well, and we did quite a bit of learning as well.
It was super fun, my toddler had a blast. I think the entry price was a tad high since all the extra activities were closed, but it was definitely super educational and fun. ️
Great for a nice outdoor day! Lots of trees and plants. Kids loved to see their favorite dinosaurs
Great Place For a Family Outing With the children or Grand Children
We enjoyed our time at dinosaur world. It was a fun and educational experience for all who went. We had our 7yr old and 17 yr old with for this exploration day. Staff was friendly and helpful. Plan to spend at least 2 hours here to go through park and do any of the extra projects they offer for a minimal cost. We didnt know you could bring a lunch and drinks with. Definitely do this when you visit. They have a picnic table shaded area to sit and enjoy your picnic. They also have a playground.
My family and I enjoyed this attraction. Its a great place to spend a couple hours for a science field trip. If you are a Pokemon Go player, there are 2 gyms and several pokestops as well. I was easily able to fill my 1k item bag from 600 in no time at all! I would like to give this place 4 stars, but there are some quirks that hold it back. First, they dont sell cooked food, but they do offer some snacks and have soda machines. There are also covered picnic areas for those that bring snacks. Second, the mosquitoes are annoying. Thankfully, I heeded the websites suggestion to bring insect repellent and quickly applied it. If you do forget to bring repellent, the gift shop has some for sale. The main reason I cannot give them a higher rating is because of the health circumstances due to COVID-19. The playgrounds, certain touch, and show attractions are closed. Essentially 25% of the park is not open. While masks are not required outdoors, the trails are not wide enough to maintain 6 feet apart when people are approaching from the other direction. It doesnt help that there are always inconsiderate, ignorant people that dont bother trying to socially distance themselves or wear a mask in public, enclosed spaces. In addition, some of the exhibits need to be repainted, retouched and/or revamped. The museum especially needs work.
Had a good time. Wish more of the park was open. Enjoyable for about 2 hours. Needs more educational signage.
I loved looking at the different dinosaur models, its a great learning experience for kids interested in dinosaurs and paleontology. There are no rides and really its not much walking but you should bring a cooler with snacks and drinks because there arent laces to eat like a regular amusement park. There is also a really nice playground there. I had a great time, most of the park is shaded with trees and theres also a fish pond to feed coy and catfish :-)
Didnt think it would be the way it is. Really fantastic setup, super clean grounds, and the kids go crazy with all the realistic Dinos. Pack a lunch and have a fun picnic. Highly recommend!
Ive heard mixed reviews about dinosaur world but we loved it. Our kids are ages 8, 5 and 3. If you have a MOSI annual pass you get 50% off. I thought I would be bored, but it was neat to learn about them all. We got to speak with a paleontologist which was neat and they were very passionate about their job. The bone yard was a hit. The kids loved digging in the sand to uncover the fossil, but they ended up being very sandy so might be a good idea to bring extra clothes. At the fossil dig they let us keep 3 fossils each. There were tiny whole teeth and bone fragments. The park area was nice and they had one for younger and older children. There were several picnic areas around the park. The museum was very cool and there are a few robotic dinosaurs in there as well. The gift shop was very reasonably priced compared to other attractions.
The kids really enjoyed it though some areas were closed for social distance.
Absolutely amazing! Enforcing social distancing and wearing masks inside.Wonderful dinos, interactive areas (when no covid), and polite workers. Will 100% be going back(Also very accomodating to my service dog)
Called for ticket info and the person on the phone was super nice. We had a wonderful time walking along the trails and with the dino gems. Great outdoor fun for the whole family.
Great time at the dinosaur World, great customer service, very pleased.
Very nice place for kids who enjoy dinosaurs. Good location. Nice place to spend time with family. It also has a small museum with real dinosaurs bones and stone impressions. There is also a small park with swings etc for kids. Staff is nice. Wide variety of things available as souvenirs in their store. Free parking. Affordable price - unlike other expensive theme parks.
Great dinosaur park my children loved it theres a lot to do but do to the covid they give 10 dollar ticket each person in the store because a lot of the activity were closed which was nice i took my son for his 5th birthday he love dinosaur and they had many on display. You can bring your own food also friendly pet the restrooms were clean. A lot of shaded area and also sitting area. Will be back again definitely recommend this place the people that work there were really nice.
This is a nice place to take your small kids, that are interested in dinosaurs. We were able to walk through the park and see the displays, a few are a little extra graphic because they are realistic. As in some attacking the other. But theres a neat fossil dig that was pretty cool. The gem hunt was extra, but it was worth it. My favorite part was the gift shop. I love crystals and stuff like that so it was really great! Alot of cool buys if your into Amethyst in the larger size and several others...
Loved it! I want to compliment you on how clean your park is. Looking forward to everything being open. My 3 year old grandson loved it and could name almost all your dinosaurs.
A great place to visit. Most kids love it.
A great time! Right now admission is about half price because a couple parts closed for safety...covid 19. The museum was nice. An extensive gift shop with reasonable prices and quite a selection beyond just dinosaur stuff. It was a good walk through the park and plenty to see. Looked like kids were loving it! My kids were 26 year old twins and they really enjoyed it. The mining for gemstones was a lot of fun.
My 4 year old daughter (and my husband and I) loved it! Such a great way to see the dinosaurs outside! We were really happy we went!
Cute dinosaur experience. Great place to walk & enjoy a little lunch.
Fun time at Dinoland, exit 17 on I-4. Was there many years ago and it was so-so. But many improvements have made it fun for all ages. Gift store, picnic tables, play areas for kids provide something to do for everyone. Remember to bring your lunch as there is no cafeteria, but plenty of tables.
My grandchildren loved this place. Its primarily a park with lots of dinosaur statues, which are placed throughout in beautiful walking paths. There also are a few other entertaining items such as a giant T-Rex puppet, as part of an educational show of which, unfortunately, we only caught the last few minutes. There are dino eggs, a gem mine, playground, and picnic area. A hidden gem is the animatronic dinosaurs that are motion activated and roar which are located in the museum. Overall its quaint and cute and a nice days fun for the little ones. My small grandchildren are still talking wanting a repeat visit nearly a year later!
With the Pandemic this was half priced! An excellent deal. Great staff. The dinosaurs are set in lush landscaping that provides excellent shade most of the day, a raised boardwalk provides good viewing, even the 1 yo in the group could walk it with supervision. The playground, and other activities are currently closed, but in the past we have enjoyed them too. We were there over 2 hours just walking, shopping and reading the dinosaurs signs. Last visit, with a 3 yo dino lover, we were there about 4 plus hours.
Awesome place to get exercise and entertain the kids. If you go on the weekend go early to avoid crowds. Pack a lunch. We took a 6 week old, 3 and 6 year old. Were there for 2.5 hours. It was a blast.
They reduced the rate because the hands on activities are postponed. Staff was great. Most people wore masks even outdoors. Shaded and a nice walk. Tube dinosaurs look way better than 20 years ago when I was there last.. lol. My kid had a blast and my friends were able to meet us there & keep a nice distance as we caught up. Bathroom was very clean as well. My husband already wants to go back (plus theres a really cheap great produce stand off the same exit/ stocked up after Dino world :) )
This place needs more areas to purchase water. I found 1 outside of the gift shop and it only accepts dollars, and only contains soda. Unfortunately it ate my money and i got no drink. That was the third time my money was eaten by machines there. Its Florida and its hot, water is a necessity.
Always loved taking my kids and now my grandchildren here. Relatively cheap, easy to navigate and wonderfully interactive things to do as an educational source for young minds. Sad that the interactive things cant be open right now but still worth the visit. Also love that its dog friendly.
I want here with my my wife and my dog. it was an easy way to kill 2 hours walking around. Everything was very clean, and it was a fair distance to walk places. Unfortunately some things are closed because of a stupid virus, but its still a nice time. Kids will love this place.
Cute place. Lots of dinosaurs to look at. Museum was pretty small but some cool thing to see. Great if you have a kiddo who is obsessed with dinosaurs.
Lots to see and lots to do. (most hands on stuff is closed for covid safety) Cool fossils and giant dinosaur models. Gift shop is neat as well.
BRING BUG/MOSQUITO SPRAY AS THEY ARE EVERYWHERE!!! Besides that, it’s actually a great place to bring your kids. My son had a blast! The dinosaurs were huge/life like. I think the experience would’ve been elevated if there were speakers around with the different dinosaur sounds. Also, bring your own food. They had vending machines but that’s it.
Kids under 12 and parents will have a blast. Hint: You have to enjoy learning while having fun.
Pretty neat place to bring the kids/grandkids.Lots to see and plenty of good photo ops.An hour or so is a good amount of time to walk through and see everything.I think its too expensive for what they offer but opinions will differ.
Its a nice place to come with your family. With our little dinosaur lover, we visited many similar parks, including overseas, but as we recently moved to the area, we decided to make an annual pass at this one. My only complaint is that they dont allow children to touch the statues. I find that odd, and its the first time I see something like this in a dinosaur park. It should be more interactive.
Wonderful Family Experience. Cell Phone Less! Full attention on the park and all of its exhibits! SUPER friendly and accomodating staff! It was an educational opportunity but the staff made it fun! I highly recommend for a day walking and allowing kids to be kids
It was am enjoyable experience outside of the Florida heat. The staff was very friendly. Even though some exhibits were closed, the kids still enjoyed themselves and the adults found it fun as well. Well definitely be back once its fully operational!
We really enjoyed Dinosaur World! We celebrated Fathers Day afternoon exploring the dinosaur kingdom with lifesize replicas, lots of of species and loads of education fun for the whole family. Even with covid getting in the way and closing a few features it was a wonderful experience. The gift shop has so many options and is priced affordably. We purchased some cool items. Everyone was nice as they could be. We will definitely be back soon. Thanks!!!
Quite possibly the best place in the world. Weve driven by many times since it opened and havent taken the time to stop. We should have stopped sooner as we had the best time ever. Yes, some things arent currently open, but we definitely will be back once everything is back up and running!
This place was so much fun! Its a great walk through and the museum was nice.
Nice, classic place and well kept.
This place is amazing for kids that love Dinos, spent a few hours walking around looking at life sized Dinos and visiting the gift shop.
This wonderful off beat piece of local flair is a great place to go as a family or as part of a small group. The gift shop is well staffed and full of local and globally accepted gift ideas. The park is very clean and has lots of places to sit eat explore and has lots of exhibits for the kids. The park is very dog friendly. We recently visited with our 2 dogs. One 10 lb and one 60 on and there were water stations for them and areas where we could all sit down. The park was very clean and its about 3 hours to see the whole place.
A great place to take the kids for a day trip! The park was well worth the admission in my opinion. I think it was $10 pp
Great stop right off the highway. Several areas were closed due to Covid-19, but we enjoyed the shaded dinosaur walk and the boys ages 2 and 6 had a great time.
What a cute place! Pandemic info- me and my like-minded, immature adult-child friend wanted a getaway, and saw that due to the pandemic, Dinosaur World had severely reduced pricing to pair with the reduced attractions. The dinowalk was an expanded version of the Jurassic World in Universal, with cute dinosaurs in the woods, and large dinosaur-sized models, was a nice walk. Loaded with Pokestops as well, I had a blast catching Pokemon next to dinosaurs. The museum, the other attraction open, was a cute 5 minute stroll that I probably wont think much of, but I could see how younger audiences may appreciate fossils. The giftshop was loaded with dinosaur products and friendly staff. It was a nice 90-minute getaway. I can see how awesome this place could be once their interactive attractions open up. During the pandemic, it was a nice interaction outside the house that made my little nerdy dork inside smile.
Very cute. The kids had a great time. Lots of neat stuff in the gift shop.
We have a 6 year old boy and he is currently obsessed with dinosaurs. This place is perfect for him! He loves seeing the dinos and we love how quiet it is. It also has the best gift shop around.
I enjoyed the visit. The kids had fun. Worth visiting for locals.
Much better than we thought it would be.
My family absolutely loved dinosaur world! We have three boys 9, 7, and 2 and they all enjoyed the park and so did my husband and I. The grounds were well kept, the activities were clean, the staff was very friendly and there were plenty of activities for the kids to do and lots of sights to see. A must do it youre in the area and affordable compared to most of the overpriced and overrated attractions in the area.
Cute place but it can be much better if at least few dinosaurs would move some their parts... )) even our 5 y.o. kid was not impressed already. However it’s still a good place to spend a few hours on the weekend with kids...
Took my baby boy to celebrate his 3rd birthday and he had a blast! He is obsessed with dinosaurs and absolutely loved the attractions. Some of the attractions were closed due to Covid but we still enjoyed ourselves.
If you are interested in dinosaurs, then this place is must go for one time. Not far from Tampa. Not many activities to do, but you will see life size(?) dinosaur models. Entry fee is little high for the time you would spend at this park normally.
Great experience! Large area.
So this is roadside at its finest. Pleasant walk, well maintained place. Yes, some of the statues and information included on plaques is a bit outdated, but not deliberately misleading.Went with the significant other to be goofy and have a blast looking at dinosaurs. Mission accomplished.
It is a great place to spend with kids specially little ones. Price was reasonable because of attractions being closed due to cov19. I think for regular price wouldnt be worth it but for what they are asking now its a good price even if attractions were open.
