So much fun going here! Super clean and well taken care of. Everyone that you meet and also the furry friends are great! There’s plenty of shade there also. Fecal stations throughout the park too! It’s rather large so plenty of room to run! No need for needing proof of vaccines either which is also a plus nor is there a fee at this dog park.Great place overall to bring your dogs! Love coming here!

Good location. BUT nowhere to park, no water for dogs, no poop bags and worst of all no garbage cans. The 3 things (besides a fence) you need for a dog park arent there.

Shame the landscaped beauty of this park is a chain link mess. I love dogs but they have taken most of the beauty and fenced it.Was not necessary to take all of this property for a dog park. The walking path through the park is riddle with loose gravel, rock, and pot holes. When snow falls it is beautiful but dangerous because the snow covers the pot holes. When no snow, still a dangerous walk with the loose gravel and loose rock. I twisted my ankle walking into a pothole. Not worth the visit unless they decide to make repairs on the walkways. This was, at one time, a beautiful park.

This is s nice City of Pittsburgh Park on Mt. Washington. With play areas, softball fields and plenty of places to enjoy a picnic or other traditional park activities. Most City Parks have distinct closing times. The park has seen its share of unlawful activity after sundown and so should be avoided after dark, particularly by families having children. The ability to use the parks amenities gets cut substantially in the winter, particularly on bitter cold or snowy days.In the busiest parts of summer, a food truck or two will stop to provide food and drinks. Otherwise, parents should be prepared to provide food and drink for any lengthy stay

Review №54

Its a shame the city vandalized one of the oldest parks in Pittsburgh because a bunch of people couldnt follow the rules and keep dogs on a leash, if you are allergic to dogs i wouldnt recomend going to the park also i wouldnt recommend letting kids play on the ground below the fence, we all know that stuff runs down hill! Do not get a dog unless you have a yard for them,I wish the city would ban pets from public parks

I live near Olympia Park, and am mainly there on weekend mornings and some evenings after work. Ive lived in the neighborhood for nearly fifteen years and am so glad to see the park being more fully utilized. My dog loves it, but just as importantly, it gets me out of my house, moving, and being with other people. Im friendly, but fairly reclusive, so this has been good for my mental health. Its a big change for people whose homes directly border the park, and most of them are not happy about the big, quiet, empty park they used to enjoy as an extension of their yard becoming much more highly trafficked. Change is hard, and I cant say I wouldnt be a bit unhappy if I were them, but it is a public park owned by all the residents of the city, not just the small handful of homes bordering the park. That being said, please be respectful of the folks who live here when you visit the park, and park only in designated parking spots, pick up after your dogs both inside and outside of the fenced in dog park, and keep the noise level down early in the morning or later in the evening. Other than that, enjoy meeting and befriending lots of new folks and their dogs!

A simple park with a great trail in the back was ruined by a dog park which is just a fenced in hill all the local bourgeois flock to for there dogs has become an eye sore.

Review №66

The dog park is closed. I drove the whole way out to this park only to discover the gate pad locked and a note saying it is closed due to complaints from residents. Then as I was walking back to my car, my dog stopped to go to the bathroom and immediately after he finished, a woman stepped out of her house and watched me as I walked to my car, got a bag and cleaned it up. The whole time she stood on her porch with her arms crossed glaring at me. Really? Does she just sit at her window all day waiting for dogs to poop so she can give people death glares? The vast majority of people are responsible and respectable with their pets. Not only was driving out here a huge waste of time, but I was disrespected and judged by some woman because of other peoples actions. Do not go here.
