Great views! So much to see! Wide open areas and kind of tucked into tree filled paths. Opens to a beautiful fountain and Heinz Field!! Can walk down next to the river or up closer to the nature walk and open fields with the out lines of Fort Pitt. Fort Pitt museum was neat to check out! Today they were offering tomahawk throwing!! Pretty cool to watch. Its amazing that one end of the park has Heinz Field across the river and the other end opens into downtown!!

I love going to the Point! It is always such a great view of the city. We went to the Ft. Pitt Museum and to enjoy the beautiful rivers and fall foilage. If you are a visitor to Pittsburgh The Point is definitely a place to visit!

A very good place for an evening stroll, a picnic, or to enjoy the beautiful city view from the river side. You get to see most of the important landmarks and sight seeing places of Pittsburgh just from this location. The fountain is one of the must see locations here. From this location, you can see most of the City line, the Heinz field stadium, the Carnegie Science Center, the Duquesne Incline Mountain Railway that goes up and down, and all the beautiful bridges and boats! This is definitely a must visit place, especially with your family and definitely spend some time there enjoying the beautiful scenes, near the fountain!

Great, really great place. Amazing view, refreshing from a river and a fountain, huge open space with grass and trees in the center of Pittsburgh.An old Fort is here too. And big arch under a bridge is great place to hide from rainstorm.I am strongly recommend to take a walk at this place.

Pretty little park next to the Fort Pitt museum. Often there are events here and you can always see a great view of the whole city right where the rivers meet. Dog friendly!

Nice park, fantastic views and the start of the Great Allegheny Passage trail. Clean, friendly and saw park police patrolling on foot and by vehicle. Some cool structures and old forts, worth a visit and walk.

This is worth the day trip. So much beauty in the heart of downtown. If you are visiting and wondering if you should visit, you should. You can take the subway to the gateway exit and it’s a short walk from there

What a lovely park. I was lucky enough to enjoy a beautiful July sunset at the point while folks lounged around the fountain and some boats floated in the river. Id like to return to see the museum but would recommend visiting the point if you can! Great spot.

This park is pretty sweet. Lots of open area to do whatever like play tag or have a picnic. I will rate this a 5 out of 5 stars.

A beautiful area which is meant to be the point where a French fort stood. It also serves as a point which identifies the split for Monongahela and Allegheny River.Probably one of the best tourist spots in Pittsburgh. You can sit at the edge where you can feel the cool breeze. You can watch the sunset as it remains to have a beautiful hue. Best to visit this place in summer in the evening. It also has a fountain which looks very beautiful in the evening.

MARIAH in the museum and PAUL, docent in the Blockhouse, couldnt have been more helpful! Highly recommend visiting this area. Its relaxing and the views are stunning!!

Point State Park is picture perfect. Gorgeous area to walk, see the city scape, the water and boats! Attaches right to the rails to trails!

Beautiful natural setting to explore and expirence the confluence of the Monongahela and Allegheny Rivers that forms the Ohio River a major tributary of the Great Mississippi River. You should also visit the Ft Pitt museum while you are here. Well worth the trip.

This place is so soo nice. I love coming here with my kids. We do picnics here. Got to bring a blanket for that. Its definitely a judge free zone. Everyone comes here.

Great park within downtown Pittsburgh but feels remote and tranquil. Commonly used as a festival location. This is at the confluence of the Allegheny and Monongahela Rivers, where the Ohio begins. Walking trails, the Fort Pitt museum, beautiful views of the city and Rivers, and more can be found here. The giant fountain in the top of the point is a great meeting spot and a truly huge fountain. Fun spot.

Beautiful scenery even in the rain..

One of the best places to go in Pittsburgh had a nice labor day weekend lots of people out with family friends lots of people walking their dogs. Even have some music by the Pittsburgh Steelers drum line

The view and sheer relaxation that you can do in this area is if my favorites. With a lower population visiting the park during COVID makes you t even better.

Such a unique spot! Fun to see all the different people gathering here—supreme people watching. Beautiful views every way you turn, no matter the time of day. Especially great in the summer with the mist from the fountain. Accessible from many different areas and bike paths! Probably my favorite spot in the whole city :)

One of the go to places to visit when I visit Pittsburgh. The view is beautiful on a bright and sunny day. Good piece of history as well with Fort museum. We got a good view of Mount Washington, Duquesne incline, the stadium etc. Park is very clean and neatly maintained. Heard its the go to place to go for Fourth of July celebrations. Also a great place to play Pokemon go!

I mean, were you even in Pittsburgh if you dont stop here? Beautiful views in every direction. This is where the Ohio River starts (and Pittsburgh started). There is a Museum for the forts and paths to each of the bridges. Selfie central.

From this park you can see the Confluence of the Three Rivers.. It has a breathtaking View and its free! I would highly suggest you come to this place because of the views. You can see Pittsburgh in a great way from this location.. Marked as a good place for transgender people to go! since Im a transgender woman I did not experience any problems and had a great day here..

Pittsburgh is known for its 3 rivers, the Allegheny River, the Monongahela River, and the Ohio River. We parked at the Point State Park parking lot for $7 for the day, much cheaper than places in town. We walked to the Marketplace where practically every place on the square was a restaurant. The breeze and shade trees made it fairly comfortable outside. We walked around Pittsburg near the Point. Old buildings next to newer buildings made the contrast in architecture stand out. Back at the park, the fountain cooled off the area. The other side of the Monongahela R was a huge cliff with a church, a hotel, and other buildings on top and a tram or trolley going up and down that steep cliff. The other side of the Allegheny R was flat with the Heinz Field stadium, home of the Steelers and Panthers, the Carnegie Science Center, and other entities. The Ohio R was a continuation of the steep cliff and flat area on either side. Some people rode bikes around the park.

4/5 great scenery. Would have been 5/5 if it wasnt for the crackhead passed out on a bench.

Youll need to socially distance as a ton of people arent wearing masks, but sunset was gorgeous and the park was lovely.

This is a very cool place to talks walk, or bike ride. The river views are incredible, and there are a ton of places to sit and relax. Parking can be a pain,but its totally worth it. I highly recommend this place.

The park is beautiful! The views are splendid, and there is plenty of beautiful space to roam around. I loved the way the old fort is outlined in the grass, and the fountain ad commemorative plaque are both wonderful attractions.

Went on a short family trip to see the sites and shop in Pittsburgh. Had always looked at the park from the Duquesne Incline and wanted to visit. Went there later in the day. Great park, views and fountain. The only drawback is there isn’t any lighting after dark. We were there just after 5 pm but it was dark by then. Got lot of great night time pics of the city, PNC Park & Heinz field. The family loved seeing the city from this perspective on the point. A must see when in town.

Historic site of fFort Pitt, the park is located exactly where the Monongahela River and the Allegheny River meet to form the Ohio River. Spectacular views of Pittsburgh skyline, fort Pitt museum, l and the fort Pitt blockhouse from the original fort. A large fountain sits at the tip of the triangle form by the rivers. Across the Monongahela River you can see the Mount Washington incline and other features of the south shore. Looking across the river to the north shore, you can clearly see Heinz Field, The sign center, and other Pittsburgh landmarks. Theres plenty of shade, plenty of seating, with working water fountains throughout the park for when you get thirsty. Clean public restrooms are available near the fountain.

I loved it.. The point of confluence of 3 rivers.. The fountain is really good and the stadiums big screen is clearly visible from here... Only thing is, they should have had direction for rest room.. I searched for a while before I found them

For a Modern Landmark in the Burgh,the amount of loose pavement Tile is an embarrassment if your Riding or TripWalking.Its also Mile 1 GAP, Trail if You leave and head towards Worshingdon DC. Pgh always No.1!

A beautiful place to spend evening in Point State Park. Near by we can go for Water Steps, Point State Park Fountain, Duquesne Incline, Bridges. View from Duquesne Incline is so amazing, you can see lower half of the Pittsburgh. From Point State Park you can see Upper half of Pittsburgh. Along with that you can do rafting and can hire boat for ride.

Relaxing atmosphere. Clean park. Enjoy watching the boats. Kids splashing in fountain. Nice breeze off water.

Beautiful park right in the think of the city offering a peaceful setting despite being in the heart of a busy city.Its located at a river fork so its surrounded by water only adding to its picturesque appeal.This is not the spot where the famous water fountain is, it is right beside it.

One of of Americas most unique and photographed urban parks. Reasonably priced parking is relatively close by, especially on the weekends.

A lovely park in the heart of the city. Parking is not easily available, it is safe to use a paid parking. Public restroom is there. Good location for photography.

It is a great park, at the junction of the Allegheny and Mongahlia rivers in downtown Pittsburgh. Well used now.

Great place for a family picnic on a hot summer day

Point State Park is where the Allegheny, Ohio and Monongahela Rivers meet. Its a beautiful place.

A beautiful space to go for a walk and clear the mind. We were lucky to stay within walking distance from this park while visiting the city. Went for a stroll around 8am and there were not many people there (Saturday too). You can take some really great pictures of the local bridges and have the chance to walk along the river. You get views of the Duquesne incline, Heinz Field and the local skyline as you walk down the park. Be careful walking on the main path as cyclists can come pretty fast through. Plenty of benches and overall a place I recommend to visit.

A nice park to walk through. Sitting at the fountain and watching the boats go by was peaceful and relaxing. We were there at night and the fountain was lit up. We also went by it on a paddle boat cruise.

I grew up in Braddock Pa and live not far from Bushy Run, I taught American History, and felt I knew the History of Ft. Duquesne and Ft. Pitt. I have been to the Point and always knew of the Blockhouse BUT in my 75 years of existence in the region I NEVER knew there was a battlement built on a hill facing the Monongahela and Mt. Washington.

If youre new to Pittsburgh or simply visiting, definitely check out The Point. Its the spot where the 3 Rivers connect and its truly an amazing place, even at 3am theres still people enjoying the place.
