Great center and the staff is very helpful and nice...
Been going there since 9th grade back in 2014-2015 and haven’t stopped yet. Love it there.
The road up to the parking lot is pretty damaged, so be careful when parking there. Playground is medium sized, gross looking sprinkler that runs all day, my son loved it. Fairly private, as not many people seem to use it often. Some garbage and broken glass around perimeter, be careful with young ones
Nice community park recently enhanced by staff from the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy by putting flowers in the community garden
Great amenity for the city residents. Would be great to see staff keep the doors open until at least 9 PM for paying residents as its hours are posted rather than leaving 10 - 15 minutes early.
One of the best kept secrets in Pittsburgh. Nice place to work out or play basketball.
Nice, clean, friendly pool tucked away on a quiet street in the Polish Hill neighborhood. The pool is a nice size but parking is limited.
Its not too bad of a place. I play volleyball here as part of the Pittsburgh Sports League in the summer. Of course it gets very hot, and they dont like leaving the doors open for the giant fan to circulate the outside air. The staff are polite and respectful, as far as Ive seen.
Good place. Very convenient, and membership price cant be beat. Staff is friendly, and helpful.
Fun place and affordable. You can play pickleball here.
Best kept secret in polish hill. $5 gym membership, public swimming pool, weight room, basketball courts, dance room, and friendly staff.
I play rec league sports at the West Penn Rec Center. They have a full gym with a basket ball court, and the court that can be converted for volleyball. If you ever need to rent out a gym, this is available for private rental, which Ive never done, but have inquired about before. This is a CitiParks center, which you need a barcoded key-fob to scan when you come in. You can get one at the front desk if its your first time at the Rec Center. They also have a exercise room with different machines and exercise equipment. In the summer there is an outdoor pool. The bathrooms and general facility leave a little bit to be desired, some bleachers are broken, there are sometimes no towels in the bathroom, but the floors in the gym have just been replaced.
The people working there are very nice but you should know that upon your first use of the facility (even through other sports leagues) you will have to spend about five minutes completing a membership form and getting an ID tag. Show up a little early for this.
I play indoor vball here for PSL, they have redone the basketball courts. Its a nice facility overall.
Older venue. Clean nicely maintained
Small pool. Not much of a shallow end for kids. Usually filled with punks and the like.
Very warm an inviting staff an atmosphere
People stealing in this place ...EVERYTHING!!!!!
Kids love it and very clean and nice
I play softball there during the summer
Best pool in pittsburgh.
