This was an awesome find right by the co-op. Great idea to reuse these materials and raise money. If you are a crafty, this is a must visit spot with plenty of paint, yarn, wood, and various other reusable items. Even if you arent artsy, there are some pretty sweet odds and ends to find. Stop by soon!
One of my favorite places to find unique crafting items. I always find great supplies and antiques here. Most of the volunteers/employees are friendly. However, there is a middle aged balding red headed queen that works there who needs to check his attitude.
This is the coolest concept ever. I love how this place can inspire so many cool project ideas. I highly recommend this place to everyone.
Very cool random stuff. Excellent place for a school project. Very welcoming and come as you are place. Staff has always been friendly and helpful. A lot of stuff even under a dollar. Lots of stuff can be bought in bulk too.
A great stop for art supplies on the cheap. My SO often buys pain brushes, matte board and frames. I like to buy some of their smaller wood cuts and fabric. I love the bulk option.
I love going here, I could spend hours inside here finding all sorts of things to make stuff with. I always find something useful. It’s extremely hard to leave this place empty handed! I love the concept & the recycling old into new. Staff is always very friendly and courteous! Great customer service!
I cant think of anywhere else in the world you can buy pieces of used microscopes, old records, yarn, trophies, old photos by the pound, paint, and Easter eggs. Anything that can be reused for a creative project can be found here. Ive found some truly amazing creative tools here as well. Come and prepare to be amazed.
Many things for arts and crafts. My daughter likes to find a little rug remnants that she will put in her hamsters cage. They even have costume jewelry some vintage things also. Just be prepared to dig through some things. It is well organized and the staff is very friendly and helpful
This is one of my favorite places in the city, very friendly people. And if you are looking for a project idea you will leave there booming with ideas!!
A one of a kind shop with old magazines, VHS tapes, maps, fabrics, and a great sense of humor. Definitely stop in, especially if visiting Construction Junction next door. Just be careful if you park at CJ. CJ locks their parking lot with a gate and you dont want to get locked in when they close!
Prices are reasonable, you can find just about anything there if you dig enough. Lots of opportunity to use your imagination on a project. My only complaint is the multiple bins and drawers of broken/dirty completely unusable items. Dont get me wrong, theres always a use for just about anything, but I feel like 20% of that store could just be tossed or recycled.
This place is amazing if your into making anything its a must go
Dope Space for Artist. Access to many mediums for your creative wants and needs. The space is huge and items are placed in what may seem like anywhere and everywhere but, they are super organized and the staff can support you in getting what you need.
Wonderful place to find inspiration and cheap supplies for your next creative project! The staff are always friendly, too.
Excellent place to find arts and crafts supplies. This is a superb place to find odd items to make creative products with. Always has a good supply of fabric and paints. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. They accept donations of arts and crafts related items, so no need to throw it away when someone else can use the items.
Ive donated here a couple times now. Theyll take everything except magazines, used coloring books, DVDs and CDs, toys (dont bring in a bag of stuffed animals), etc. Use your common sense. This is stuff that can be reused. No old, stiff paint brushes and short pencils or crayons, you know? Check their website or drop in and ask before you donate. And you cant do a ton at once. Theyll ask you to break it up because they get a lot of donations and they dont want to get backed up.
Awesome place to find weird and interesting things to craft and make art with! An artistic recycling center? A crafty garage sale? Think of your grandmothers stash of old fabric and crafts, combined with your grandads collection of stray electrical, metal and wood bits and bobs. Great place to donate materials. Fun for inspiration! Supplies used in under the sea themed school dance decorations. :)
A place digging art/craft treasure for just few bucks. Never let my daughter down. For me, it is a place for picking up and dropping off.
Great place to get funky stuff for your arts and crafts projects.
A great store. Ive found some many random, yet perfect things for crafts, projects, and life. Id recommend this place to anyone. Its always better to reuse and recycle than waste. IMO
Coolest place for me to pick up things to be creative at a low cost
Always new and interesting stuff. And I dropped off some things to donate, and avoided putting them in a landfill. Win win.
Everything you never knew you needed and more! Also great spot to donate any excess creative material you may not need/use. Save it from the landfill. Help artists and makers!
If you have an open mind, a sense of humor, some creativity, and are even a little crafty, you will love this place!
This place is crafting heaven. There was so much stuff that I never knew I needed to complete several crafting projects I had until I came here. I bought several hard to find looms and knitting supplies. And the wreath making stuff is incredible. Theyve got stuff that big box stores like Michaels doesnt have. In the overwhelming tsunami of good things I have to say about this place and its prices, the only bad thing is that their used yarn is more expensive than buying the same brands new from the retailer.
Awesome non profit full of any materials anyone could ask for. I always end up getting what I need and more. Super fun to just browse as well.
Really cool place. Similar to a goodwill bent towards crafting. Its a great place to go and get inspiration towards projects.
Interesting thrift shop for art materials for pretty much any project, including some rare vintage items. You will go in and leave with more ideas than you started with. However if you go in there needing specific colors of media such as paints, you might be disappointed. Their stock is entirely dependent on what they receive. That said if you have a ton of stuff sitting in the garage or studio you have no use for, feel free to donate it. Owner also offers some of their original artwork for sale and there is jewelry available too.
If you have any hoarding tendencies, do not go here! You will find it chock-a-block with great deals on all kinds of odd stuff from fabric and yarn to old trophies and antique typewriters, and at any moment you may feel overwhelmed with the need to buy things you will never use. However, if you just love browsing flea markets and/or craft fairs, and you have the self-control to pass up low low prices, allow lots of time to browse. Its like the island of misfit craft supplies.
If you want to find someone unique or you love to sew there is a lot here for you. There are also lots of old video amd camera equipment. Toys and general things. Beads and lettering and trinkets of all kinds. Go amd check it out. Park in construction junctions parking lot and walk around the left side of the building to see the entrance.
First learned of this concept in the 90s in Ann Arbor having more post-industrial materials, this collection of discarded household, craft, and packaging materials is helpful for the artist and educator alike.
Great place to find what you didnt know you needed
This is grandmas attic on steroids. If you want somthing really specific before you go in chances are thay dont have it (except string). But if you want inspirational supplies; oh yess this is the motherload of craft stuff!
I love this place and come back just to browse. The people are really friendly and helpful.
This place is worth a visit just to see their amazing collection of STUFF. Even better if youre looking for materials for craft projects or other creations. Extra bonus: there are instructions in the rest room for how to dry your hands using only a single paper towel.
Cool place. Lots of interesting things.
Interesting store. Tons of donated items useful for artists, crafters, teachers, hobbyists, at very low prices. Great place to donate unwanted items.
My mother loves this place lol
Highlight of our city for anyone interested in hands on activities with children, crafting, sewing, vintage collecting, or eco friendly disposal of interesting old unwanted items around your home. I have ended up bringing all of my friends here who are visiting by it’s so interesting and unique
Before I found out about this place I was digging around dumpsters in alleyways to find scraps of acrylic. This place combines the joy of dumpster diving with excitement of thrifting all in one convenient location. I am so grateful that it exists.
Awesome thrift/secondhand store for creative people. Lots of gems in here, Ive found a lot of filmmaking tools here over the years.
Go here to find craft supplies and to get inspired. The recycled materials themselves can tell you what they might become. A giant stack of index cards in wild colors really wanted to be pennants decorating my picnic wedding. Red cellophane became stripes on white columns for inexpensive, quick Christmas decoration. What a great place, and great way to reuse materials!
Everything you ever dreamed of and much more!
As a crafter, I always find something fun and unique with which to create.
Love this place! Always something to find and such great prices.
YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU WILL FIND! this place is amazing to spend 15 mins or a day. If you are in the area you need to stop and look to see what you can find.
This place is great! Art/craft supplies beyond what you would find in a big-box craft store. Bits and bobs of crazy old stuff that is very useful artistically. I love it!
Best place in Pittsburgh!! Im in love with this place....a must visit place for creative minds!! Amazed with the way they have kept everything organized..loads of stuffs just waiting to be grabbed n tinkered n tweaked to create amazing new things!! A big thumbs up for them!!
I go there to get, and repurpose, old trophies into silly new ones. But, the array of stuff is amazing and the prices are too.
If you havent been, you MUST go. Its a mecca for all creative and random supplies. And all so cheap. I could spend (and have) hours here just browsing :)
I was amazed at the variety of items. This place was great.
Lots of stuff...its a thrift store for artsy people.
Let you creativity surface by coming to this unique artist sanctuary! I have found everything from digital cameras to things to make art of all types. They hold classes and the volunteer staff goes above the call of duty to help and assist. I visit this place at least once a week, more if I am working on an art project or need an idea.

A thrift store for crafters! You cant get any better than this!
Awesome non-profit place that does a lot of charity work. You never know what youll find there. They have vintage/antique stuff, jewelry, scrapbooking supplies, fabrics, carpet/tile samples, wood/stained glass scraps.. Even small storage furniture sometimes. I frequently buy art tools for around $1 each, but I also really enjoy going through the card catalogues full of little random things.
Great place for re-purposing artists!
Best place to get fun stuff for art, funky decorating and whatever your heart desires.
Interesting place with all kinds of oddities and standard craft materials. Item donations help fill up the place.

This place is too good. It is to live for. If your into craft, collecting knick knacks, just thrifting in general, this place is heaven on earth. Everything is very cheap and you can find many gems to help you with artwork, crafting, collecting others artwork and more. The staff was super helpful and helped me find what I need, even in all of the perfect mess they have going on. Definitely a place worth checking out. I rate this place 5 stars due to the price, helpful staff, and being a non profit. Now thats where its at.
Creative Reuse has everything you never knew you needed. Its an inspiring place that will get your creativity flowing and encourage you to make new things. The staff is lovely and very helpful. Its a must for any crafter or artist.
Love This Place They Always Have Deals For Your Crafting, Sewing Ect I Love This Place The People There Are Super Cool From The Employees To The Customers
I cannot believe Ive lived in the city for over 20 years and only last year heard about this place. Its a broke artists dream come true. Imagine a billion retired artists got together and they had a giant garage sale where the average price is $.25. Glue sticks, fabric scraps, glass bottles, trophies to repurpose, music boxes, old typewriters, wrapping paper, and on and on it goes. Nothing is new, but when youre trying to make Christmas ornaments and you just need a gazillion mardi gras beads, THIS is the place to be. Ive left with my arms FULL of supplies having only paid $10. If theres something SPECIFIC you want and you know its at Joanns or Michaels, by all means go for it. But if you dont mind a scavenger hunt for the generic equivalent, hit up Creative Reuse first.
They have it all! Fabric, bells, rope, buckles, yarn, ect. Cheap prices and friendly staff! Get all your crafting needs at 2nd hand prices while supporting a good cause.
You can find things you didnt even know you needed, me and my kids come here regularly and I find what I need for cosplay/ furniture renovation and buy them a 2$ bag to fill with small random objects. My kids ask to go here by name, great spot!
