Ambrose Park

One of our favorite places to go, take our kids, and enjoy a beautiful day. The pool is open, the playground is big, with swings, slides, and a younger kiddo structure plus its shaded under tall trees. The areas to BBQ or picnic are always open and covered from the elements. Dont forget the whole park is blessed with beautifully matured trees. They have bathrooms and many, many picnic tables. Plenty of grassy space to set up a game, volleyball net, etc. Great place to spend time with friends or family.

One of my most favorite parks EVER!!! Sooo much room, shade, and trees. Oh, so beautiful when everything is full and green. They now have rebuilt the community pool...super fun and the price is $3 for kids and...I think, $6 for adults. Opens May 25th. They offer a season pass for under 30. They have endless space and picnic tables. BBQs all over the place. There in a top tier wrap- around patio with at least 20 tables and BBQs all covered by a long wooden trellis gazebo. Across on the other tier is another row of table/ BBQs not covered. Bathrooms are available. Huge grass field right in the middle. Great playground for kiddos of any age. Swings, slides, and a basketball court. Two parking lots and enough space for everyone. Dont forget the most wonderful breeze and great shade, sunshine, and somewhere you can relax and have a great time.

Very quiet place the pool very clean and also my son is having swimming lessons here I really like it ..

Lots of creeps here. Not the best park for families

It has changed a lot since I was a kid. New entrance, new play area. My 2 year old loved the water and is in the middle of learning how to swim. He loves playing with water in general. I do plan to bring him back. He had a blast last week

Beautiful heated and clean pool, friendly staff, snacks and lots of shade. Also a nice place for a kids pool party/BBQ. Disabled parking at the far end of the parking lot as you enter, to the left and down the hill.

The Ambrose park should be fix up and organized fix up the place.Real nice cause that place is well hidden from all the public

Cool place to let my guard down

Ambrose park is okay, at least they allow people to use their restroom facilities that dont have a place to use a restroom.

Its great that they opened pool for all public very clean and nice placed to spend with family

Nice, clean hidden gem of a park. Plenty of shade, pool, playground, baseball field and easy access to DeAnza trail. Walking distance from BART.

Great park. Lots of places for the family. Barbecue pits are numerous. Well maintained pool, basketball area, big open spaces. Bathrooms are clean. My church has had its annual picnics there for five years.

My family and i love t his place ..kids love to swim very clean not crowded..

The park is very nice sitting in very nice location plenty of trees tables benches BBQ Pits in a very clean pool it also has a play area for the children only one thing was wrong many many many many stairs but for some they made it okay for you to bring your car down to the main area to load your car up with all of your things that you brought to the park I think or they asked the park people if they could do that as I watched a bunch of older people pack up as they were leaving bring in like six cars pack up after their party as many many parties were there yesterday at my first visit on a very hard day in Antioch Bay Point is very very nice Ambrose park I think its a very nice place

This park has a lot of potential, especially with the new pool, but the play area is completely in disrepair. Its bad enough that I (a 165 lb man) wouldnt feel safe walking on any of the elevated structures for fear they might break. I also worry a little kid might get hurt if theres any badly broken equipment on there. If the tennis court, basketball court, and play area were rebuilt it would be a 4.5 out of 5.

Great for a day of BBQ family and friends

The park has potential! Currently there are homeless people roaming around. It has a pool, park for kids a couple of swings one is a regular seat, the other is a baby seat. There is a basketball hoop, but its bent. Its a hidden park that need TLC!

Our kids love this park. The playground is great, the trees are tall, adding so much wonderful shade, and the pool has been updated and is open. Great place to spend the day.

It could be a great place but the place at times is littered with undesirables and blah blah blah im just sayin, its a wonderful place full of wonder if your wondering. Good day google users

Great place for kids cheap price& water temp is perfect best of all life guard on point prepare for anythin is always a gud thing . fun ! After pool lil play at park playground wooot woot & even better near ;) yall shud visit!!!

A long neglected gem on the fringes of West Pittsburg and Pittburg. A great place for a bbq, or family fun in general. I belong to a group that has a reunion there every year, and we have been very vocal about getting the pool reopened, and for trying to get the Ambrose board to get the bathrooms fixed, as well as water fountains. If you reside in Bay Point, please go to the meetings on the first Thursday every month to help push the board into caring about the parks you voted them in to care for.

Pretty decent park.Decent location, free parking and is rarely crowded. Only complaint is that the area near the playground could be kept cleaner

One of many smaller but beautiful parks

This place is really weird. No signs or info about the pool, so I could not find the times or even when it closed. One sign said no swimming at night. Was it open at night? I went on a Friday around 2 pm, and the whole place was deserted. No one in the park or playground. It looks like a nice park, hence the 3 stars, but its lack of people creeped me out.

Great place. My church has its annul picnic there.Its clean, bathrooms too. Has wonderful pool, plenty of space to sit and barbecue everywhere. Its has plenty of parking. No loiters so it feels safe.

Playing so fun for kids also swimming. Looking good all new now cooking. Out doors all day anytime nice new playgrounds oh yes !

The place is cool there are some shady places and theres a playground but my friend kiked his ball in the pool and i asked the workers if they can get it but he said too bad im not getting it in a rude way

They cleaned it up but still need to fix the roof over the reservation area... my granddaughters are having their birthday party there today... The pool has been fixed also....

Went to a kids birthday party here and had a great time the pool kept the kids occupied as well as the play ground is pretty nice.

Spend my youth there. My Mom was cashier for the summers. So happy to see still a beautiful park and pool.

This is the transfer station for. Bart and isnt connected to any exit.

The park itself is nice but this is not a great location do not leave your children here by themselves. Police Patrol this area daily for transients people. drugs

It was fine, and the pool is great. The park appears to have had a prior life, and there are some buildings and scars left over that are not attractive

This park is huge & large enough to have a huge bbq party or party. It seems some what secluded even though its right near the freeway. Lots of bbq pitts on different levels or piews or whatever you want to call it.there is also a purty spacious base ball field & park for kids. The pool here is drained & there is fairly good parking.side note some times there may be druggies or bums passing threw.

Great Hidden public pool and BBQ are with Grassy area on the Pittsburg, Bay Point line.. There is also the DeAnza Walking / Bike trail that leads through the parking lot behind the pool area.Tennis, BasketBall, etc..The surrounding area is not nice, and most people dont even know the Park and Pool are even there. I think they are improving it also.You can access it by car with parking lot or by walking down the DeAnza Trail.
