This is a awsome place to have a special event. The staff is willing to help with whatever is needed! Thank you Forbes.
Excellent facility, great staff great for kids!
I dear you to get a rec card. After 5 attemps still none.Everytime a different story system down, front desk not there, etc etc
I came here to walk around with my brother and explore the area. The field was wet because it just rained a few hours before. I came on Christmas Day. Parking was easy. There is parking areas in a few places but the big parking area is easily noticed and has several ways in and through. The areas were clean for the most part. The area is big enough to run R/C stuff like cars, or drones. I enjoyed my visit here and will return some time. Its quiet and enjoyable and there are plenty of things to see and do in the area.
We held our daughters Sweet 16 in the multipurpose room at Forbes. It was a great space to host our party. We had a party with around 50 people. The room has a small kitchen which was perfect for us to prep the food we served and cleanup items at the end. A small ice machine was available to use and chose to use it for drinks for our guests. It had an oven to keep food warm. We had access to 1/2 of the refrigerator as well. When we arrived they had the room set up the way I requested and pulled a few extra tables in when requested. The staff was very helpful and were very attentive to our requests. The staff even gave us carts to bring items back and forth from the cars. They also assisted bring things in. The bathrooms were clean and easy to access. We also had access to outside where the smaller kids could run around and play.Overall we had a great experience at Forbes and we will definitely be using this facility for future events. Thanks for making this event great!
Wonderful time at Forbes today!! Zumba class was CRAZY FUN and our instructor was the BOMB! Her energy off the roof! The center is booked and BUSY! There was a tournament for wounded veterans wheelchair bound going going on at the same time of our class. The Veteran Community is near and dear to my heart so I was torn between working out my moves with Zumba an attended the event. I truly needed the workout but it was good to see the tournament turn out and Forbes Rec was a phenomenal venue. Folk at the center were nice and helpful. Very nice and clean facilities. Great location for the Zumba workout that left us breathless
Great place for handball on Wednesday after 5:30 in the evening and Sunday morning
Lots of activities for all ages & their staff friendly and helpful .Thanks!
Nice place for kids to play ball good seating
Great place for kids summer camp, recreation, sports and rook rental for parties etc
My son has been playing on a basketball team there for about 3 years now and he absolutely loves it Iand we think its a great place for kids to go and have a good time and be safe
Great city park and fun area. Kids really liked it.
Right next to this place is the Helen Howarth Park. This is hands down, the best 3 wall Handball/Wall ball courts in Florida. There is a small group that plays out there Sunday mornings around 9am. Some average players, a couple of A players too. Nice!
My son has come here for the last 3 years and we love it. The staff is top notch. There is always something to do at this Rec Center. Whether it is for full day summer camp or just after school care they always keep the kids active. They offer team sports coached by the counselors, indoor and outdoor play daily, and most importantly homework time. They have a media room, game room, art room and a full sized court for sports. I cannot wait to sign my child up for next years summer camp and see what field trip adventures they will get to enjoy.
Excellent pickleball...competitive without being over the top...well lit and well organized!
Decent options for the community. Small fitness room, kids game room, and a really nice basketball court. Couple of leagues are held here as well.
Great place to join and take the kids.
Great baseball field overall 375ft center field 315ft left and right field. Grass infield.
This facility is disappointingly chaotic. They dont seem to have a regular weekly schedule. My grandsons were unaccustomed to the center and did not know any of the kids there, unfortunately. On the plus side, staff had the kids outside for a good amount of time. At the other rec center we have been to, the kids never went out of the building any day we were there. Back to Forbes now. There are 3 rooms for indoor activities: one for watching videos, one that looks like a basketball court, and the main game room. My oldest grandson wanted to play some video games but that didnt work out for him. At the end of the day, the boys were unsure which facility they liked better. We will have to have a conversation about where they will be going on Monday.
Great facility, nice basketball court, handball, weight rooms, and arcade area.
Nice facility but staff not super friendly.
My Personal Experience:Went there for Pickelball. A group of old white Midwestern males (60 to 75) basically wont let a newcomer in, called it an advanced player group. Right!!!! seems like a good excuse to keep the rights to choose their kind only. Saw all the wrong signs. Bad experience. This should have not been allowed by Forbes. Shame. Not a Lawyer (wish I was), watch out and share your experience.
Amazing people who care about children and an amazing place to have your kids go to for summer or after school
Great afterschool program for the kids.

The counselors that work with the children at Forbes are caring, attentive and respectful. My family and I revere this center’s presence as a safe and culturally diverse safe haven.
