My nephews (12 & 14 years old) and niece were in town visiting from Colorado. The boys are currently into cars and the younger one googled and found this place. It is a private collection of 74 unique and still WORKING cars owned by the Cerf family. Many of the automobiles are European since the family originated from France and moved to the US in the 1970s. The staff is extremely knowledgeable about each individual car. One of the cars was acquired when someone was unable to pay their hotel bill in the 1950s. Several were purchased at auctions. Another car has a motor in the front and back of the car for 2 ways to do 2-wheel drive or run both motors for 4-wheel drive. Really cool! There is also information about the makers and builders of the various cars. I liked that each car had information about it on a stand in front or near the vehicle. I also liked that you are able to walk around the cars, see the interior, dashboards, etc. It doesnt take long to go through the collection, probably depends on how many questions you ask.

The Tampa Bay Automobile Museum is a nicely maintained family owned business. I have visited this facility twice as a nice relaxing and informative holiday tour with my family. We did love it and learned more on each visit. The price is also very reasonable and what you learn about the history of cars would give you some perspective on where the auto industry should potentially head in the future. They also have some rare car collections and one of a kind too.

My husband and I went to this museum yesterday- we were highly impressed with the collection and the stories behind the vehicles and the family that owns them. What made this trip amazing/perfect was Allen and Randy, the employees working at the museum. Not only were they extremely friendly and accommodating, but their knowledge of all of the vehicles and their history was very impressive. Thank you so much Allen and Randy!

My friend and I visited Sunday, and we figured it would be a fun quick trip to look at cars but boy were we in for a treat. Gary greeted us, explained the layout, and let us explore on our own. Throughout the trip, he came over and gave us extensive histories of what we were looking at, and his passion and excitement was infectious as he delivered a wealth of information as he checked on us to answer questions and gave us information and backstories on cars that we didn’t know. Super clean and friendly environment, half of the appeal of this showroom is the historically important cars and the impassioned attitude of the employees. It was a great experience for anybody, and can make a car nut out of somebody with little interest beforehand.

Many European cars, but the focus really seems to be firsts, or unusual innovation. For example, an AWD ABS 1965 Mustang. How about a 30s V8 sedan with front wheel drive? Yep, they have it.
