My child has been attending lessons with Coach Rick for 2 months, and it is amazing to see how much improvement there is! He is encouraging but tough, the perfect combination for a coach! I especially love watching the footwork drills that he has the kids do with the ladder. We are very happy that he allowed us to join in on lessons, and will continue going as long as he offers them!

Rick is an amazing coach. After just a few sessions with my daughter she was making vast improvements. His style of coaching is super supportive while expecting a high level of effort and passion. I would highly recommend FC Batavia and Coach Rick Tilmans to any and everyone.

Coach Rick does amazing work the kids! The way he challenges and encourages the kids pushes them to work hard without getting down on themselves when they fail. They want to get better because he expects it, but he also helps them slow down and learn something correctly. My son did a 5 day camp with Coach Rick and loved going every day. Unique to Coach Rick is that they did some of the same drills every single day. This allowed the boys to see that they improved in just a short amount of time. Their focus, ball control, passing, and shooting all improved. I cannot recommend FC Batavia and Coach Rick enough!

Holiday Camp 2019 was great, it gave my child additional confidence, strength, and improve his technical skills in real game situations. Coach Rick is attentive to student needs and adjust teaching technique as required. Love the drills and kids exposure to game strategy!

The training is great... very skill oriented, positive,.. physically and mentally challenging. Yet my son still has fun! Coach Rick does an amazing job with the kids...

We love FC Batavia! My son just dove into the deepens of club soccer this past year and at first it was a pretty intimidating venture. When researching different clubs, all the mega machines kept coming up but after a couple of tryouts with those clubs we were feeling a little unsure that we really wanted to allow our then 10 year old to give up bring a kid, and have to fork out thousands in club fees, uniform costs, and to top off crazy travel costs. We were lucky to find FC Batavia. From day one it was evident that all the coaches were concerned with not only attracting talented players who already had a lot of skill but also on continuing to develop these players. Coach Rick Tilmans and husbanding staff of coaches are the reason we will forever be Batavians! GO FCB!

Rick will always be among our favorites as coaches are concerned. His approach to the game is in our opinion rare and unmatched.

Soccer at FC Batavia is so much more than just soccer. My young son got bullied at school and was very insecure. We had already tried different sports but without much success. Under Coach Ricks guidance he totally blossomed. Besides being impressively knowledgeable about the game and having the ability to transfer their enthusiasm unto their players, this club and its coaches obviously cares a lot about the individual kid. My son is smiling again, regained his confidence, and his soccer skills improve visibly week by week.

I was coached by Rick (the Director of Coaching) for many years growing up. He completely changed the way I played the game in the best way possible. His positivity, his dedication, and his perspective is what made me fall in love with this sport. Rick helped me believe in myself both on and off the field. The influence he will have on your kids will not only affect their performance on the field but it will affect their performance in life.

Great club. My son and our family are so happy he is part of it. Very well organized practices, great communication from staff and coaches. Coaches do a great job of teaching skills and fundamentals as well as showing them how to be responsible and respectful young men.....all while making sure the kids are having a great time.

I have had both Coach Rick and Coach Radu working with my son over the past few years. Their coaching knowledge and methods of working with the players are exceptional. My son has played soccer for seven years at various clubs with multiple different coaches. During that time I have seen a broad range of coaching abilities and styles in the clubs and leagues. Rick and Radu are the best coaches my son has had. If you are burned out with the grind of these massive organizations taking over youth soccer, I strongly recommend giving this club a try. Your child will not be lacking for skills, tactics, and teamwork development.

Rick and Radu are truly wonderful coaches and mentors to their players. They develop them as athletes and people. As a parent of a son whos played 7+ years of club soccer in the valley for organizations big and small, we will look no further as FCB is the best option.
