I wish I could give more than 5 stars. I’m a new roller skater who has limited knowledge. Emma was really great with helping me find some outdoor wheels for the skates I had at a great price. She even put the new wheels on for me. I can’t wait to go back, I think this place will be my new obsession Also, for everyone giving bad reviews cause of delays, if you do some research you can see things are sold out EVERYWHERE and have been since start of the pandemic. Have a little patience for things out of their control.
This place is GREAT and has everything you need no matter if you’re a beginner or pro level skater. Very helpful and knowledgeable. I got a great setup for a good price.
Since the shutdown, Ive ordered several skates from Pros Edge. One was right at the beginning of the COVID shutdown and it came quickly. The others I ordered a bit later into the shutdown, as every supplier and distributor and retailer was coming under lots of demand pressure for skates. I thought the Pros Edge website was transparent in what they had in stock, and they responded to my emails / messages very quickly when I wanted to know how long a product would take to ship before I ordered. A custom build got to me in a little more than two weeks, which given that I had NOT paid for rush service, seemed REALLY quick, especially given theres still tons of demand for roller skates. Thank you! Ill definitely be coming back as I need more accessories and such.
I ordered a pair of Moxi Lolly skates on August 10th, from a shipment I was told was ordered four weeks prior to that. I completely understand that these have been sold out and on a 10-12 week turnaround via the manufacturer, and I have no problem being patient due to the circumstances. I expected a long wait. However, I also expected some communication since I paid for them in full.I emailed for an update a couple weeks ago given that it was getting to be about that time that they should have arrived. No response. I emailed again a few days later. Still no response. I called and left a message last weekend asking for a call back. Nothing. I emailed again today. One guess as to whether anyone bothered to return that message...Then I came here and read the reviews. Turns out this has been happening to a lot of people. Honestly, one person experiencing this is one too many.This is unacceptable no matter what is happening with the manufacturer. Given that I can’t get so much as an email back and I have no skates either, should I expect that getting a refund will be impossible too? Did I just donate $300+ to this place? Do I seriously have to file a complaint with my bank like another customer did and wait MONTHS to get this handled?!The lack of response to customers still waiting on their orders is simply abysmal customer service. I wasn’t going to post anything, but couldn’t in good conscience not chime in with my own experience given the number of customers they have chosen to completely ignore. It’s one thing to walk out of a store with the merchandise you paid for. The service was great when I was in the store, so of course had I left with everything I would have been thrilled. It’s another thing to spend hundreds of dollars on something in advance, never receive it, and then be treated like you don’t exist when you ask for an update. There is zero excuse for this.Negative reviews seem to be the only thing they don’t ignore, so perhaps now I’ll finally get an answer.

They really know their stuff. The owner helped me pick out the perfect skates. He made sure that I was getting what I needed and not what was most expensive. I appreciate him taking the time to explain the differences between the products and components. I came during covid 19. They were taking proper precautions. I felt safe.
Hate having to resort to this but I cannot get a response by email nor phone - Ordered some skates (Jackson Vista Viper) early July. I called in to check on them, and due to human error they were oversold. I was informed they would be receiving another model (Suregrip Boardwalks) and they could send me those instead and would be cheaper- so I should have had a refund of about $69 back. However, I was charged when I placed my order and received my skates roughly ( 2 weeks ago). I still have not received a refund for the price discrepancy or any follow up.
Love this place there is this young lady who helped me and I felt comfortable with her she is a very patient person and the roller skates are so beautiful thx ️ gonna keep going to that place
I went into the store and received excellent customer service. I was able to pickup everything I needed for my roller skates as well as instruction on maintenance. Ill be back again surely.

I ordered skates 3 days ago and got the two day shipping haven’t Heard of anything,no tracking no nothing,there customer service is terrible they never answer the phone and it pisses me off I want my skates soon or my money back this is very annoying
They are extremely helpful and have fantastic customer service. When they didnt have what I needed in store, they ordered it for me and the product came in quickly. Kelly was the technician that mounted my plates and did an amazing job. Angie is so great with customer service. I love them and will definitely be using them as my main derby and roller skate source.

Don’t trust Discount Skatewear!!!I would give them zero stars if I could!!I ordered a set of Pic Frames on March 23rd when the ice rinks around the country started closing. The frames were selling out everywhere FAST. They charged me immediately, so I thought I had lucked out.After no tracking number for several days, I reached out to the shop. They said the frames were on order and that they would be in the following week. I followed up the next week... still not in.I decided to be patient, as the frames were by now impossible to find. I waited yet another week. When I still hadn’t heard anything, I called and this time had to leave a message. I had been getting the owner on the phone up to this point.Two weeks, five messages and 2 emails later with NO RESPONSE from Discount Skatewear, I finally asked for a refund... They still never responded.I finally had to go through my credit card to reverse the charges. To this day, I’ve heard nothing from them.Response to the owner: you knew you didn’t have the product. You charged me. You stopped responding to ALL forms of communication for WEEKS. That’s not a COVID issue... that’s a costumer service issue. You can try to pass it off as a supply and demand problem, but NO OTHER STORE CHARGED ME FOR SOMETHING THEY DIDN’T HAVE and then refused all communication. Sorry... that’s bad business, and I’ll be taking mine elsewhere.update: on June 22nd, I FINALLY received an email informing me that they had cancelled my order from MARCH 23rd!! Thats right, folks. THREE months after they charged me for an item they didnt have and couldnt get, they FINALLY cancelled my order. Thankfully, I had already been refunded by CC company after filing a report. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
We live in FL and Ive bought skates from them and they always fit my daughters just right. I also needed a test dress in a very short time frame and the person I spoke with did not push anything expensive. She went to the best priced dress to meet our needs and she was patient as we went through my daughters measurements to make sure it would fit.As a skate mom to two skaters, I am limited on my options here in FL so I appreciate how prompt they are and their prices are competitive with others. Thank you for your help over the last 7 years!
OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE Lost a bag at the airport very late on a Friday afternoon, with a competition on the East Coast the next day. Pros Edge had the pants my son needed in stock, packaged them and sent them out via Fed Ex for guaranteed delivery the next morning. Considering the extremely tight deadline, their efforts were heroic. Communication from them was expedient, kind and gracious. They saved the day!
We just bought a pair of skates here for my daughter. The skates are exactly what we were looking for and the customer service was outstanding. I really appreciated the help finding the right boot, blade and fit for my daughters skating level. I highly recommend Pros Edge and we will be going back for our future skating needs!
Superior customer service. Angie helped me select the right boot and blade for my skill level over the phone--extremely knowledgeable, patient, and willing to go the extra mile to ensure I found an equal or better replacement for my original pair. I only wish I lived in Arizona so I could physically try on more boots and brands, as sizing and fit between brands can be so tricky. Highly recommend this shop--they truly care!
My daughter has been ice skating for a year now, and we buy all her gear from Pros Edge. Kelly and his team were crucial in making us feel comfortable and confident that we were buying the right gear for her, and my daughter has never had an issue with the comfort or functionality of her skates. I recommend this shop to everyone I know.
Well, I must admit this was the most knowledgeable experience I have ever been to in my life, Kelly Weiss the Owner came over to help me because I had talked to Angie on the phone and needed assistance, and WOW. OK, so I roller skated in High School and now I am a 54 year old Bladder Cancer Survivor that just went back to roller skating with my granddaughter so she could laugh at me. I never knew all the things that he was telling me about the way you skate, what you skate on (surface) the hardness of the wheels, the wheel placement, JEEZ, my head was spinning and I was loving the information, and the store was AMAZING!!! So at the end I got my usual color Black on Black skates and they will take a week or two, I told him no hurry because I want them to be GREAT!!!!! And when I go back he will fit them to my feet, WOW, and never wear socks they will give you blisters, I walked out of the store and told my boyfriend man I hit the JACK-POT coming here because I learned a lot and hopefully I can roll fast with my new skates, I was so happy I would recommend everyone that is serious about skating and cares about their feet and posture and the way you skate go here and get fitted and get the best experience of your life!!!! Thank you Kelly and Angie. The BEST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!I will be back in about two weeks.
I made an order online weeks ago and never received any of my items or even a response from this company. I continue to email them on any updates of my order but they just ignore me. I want a refund.
Love this location. They have been so good to my daughter. We got her first pair of skates here and have never looked back. Kelly helped picked out skates that were right for her feet and skating style and even sharpened the blades. Great deal. Great place. Really happy with the service. Thanks :)
Im an adult beginner skater who unexpectedly received some figure skates for christmas. While I had done research on what I needed to know for the care of my new skates, I wasnt sure what information I was missing just because Im new to this and dont have the background knowledge. I walked in to Pro Edge Sports, let them know my situation and presented what questions I had and the people there (whose names I did not catch) were EXTREMELY helpful! Every one of my questions were answered, as well as answers to questions that I would have not have thought to ask. She even checked my size to see if the skates that were purchased online as a present were right for me! I am amazed at how helpful they were and the level of service they gave. Thank you so much!

This company has terrible customer service. Their website says if its in stock it ships the next day, if its not it ships within the week. I ordered roller skates online, and then nothing. For more than a week. I had to pester them for the tracking (they said it shipped within that week, it did not) and it shipped with regular shipping instead of the expensive two-day shipping I paid for. When I asked for a refund on the shipping I got no response. I pestered them again, and got a curt Your refund has been processed VERBATIM. Not even a signature. Not even an apology for blatantly not following my order. THEN to top it all off they shipped it with the incorrect address so I will be receiving them extra late. Do yourself a favor and shop somewhere else. I had figure skates saved in my shopping cart and I was going to wait to purchase them until these roller skates arrived. I definitely will not purchase them here.
Great Store, Great Selection of Products and EXCELLENT customer service. I have spent thousands of dollars at this store, I have spoken with Kelly yearly to receive honest technical advice for my daughters skates. He has always gone out of his way to make sure I save money but get exactly what I need, and has spent time talking to my daughters and her coaches to solve blade position and foot pronation issues that corrected a 2 year problem overnight. He is one of the most knowledgeable figure skate technicians you can talk to. Thank You Kelly.
This company is horrible...beware of these people...they are big time liars...when 1st time we bought figure skating boots and blades for my daughter, it took for ever to get them shipped from them after everyday calls to them, they apologized and after month I got my order...this was last year....I thought things happens and guess what...this year in beginning of may I ordered them again pair of boot and blades as older were already small and wearied too much, I paid them through PayPal $1042.00 and I got email that they received order but it is not in stock and they have to order it from manufacturer, I called them and asked to cancel the order and return money to my PayPal account as we cannot wait over month again...they said they will return the money in 2-3 business days....time passed I didnt got money back from them. I put dispute with PayPal....PayPal only yesterday after 2-1/2 months wait send me an email stating that they close the case in favor of seller which is Discountskatewear...Now altogether after 3 months We dont have neither money neither Boots and blades and due to all this my daughter had to skip 2 competitions of this season...whole year long trainings and money gone into big hole.....My humble request to all future buyers please avoid this company and find other sources to buy anything for your needs......As I read reviews on them now today from others too... am 100% sure that they do it with everybody. !!!!Please Please Please!!!! save your money and precious time and do not buy anything from this company. I placed an order on their website and I have had nothing but a bad experience. I am still waiting to receive my skates. I called numerous times and did speak with a very nice man named Kelly who took ownership for the mistake and GUARANTEED me they would get to me no later than Friday. I called to see if they at least received them and a woman tells me they should be to me by the latest Monday and when I got upset she cut me off and I informed her of the situation and that I had spoken to Kelly and the promises that he had made. She said she didnt understand why I got so upset....ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? I will never again order from them unless I speak to Kelly personally. I do not like getting the run around on something that Ive paid for I dont care if it cost me $2 or $500 I bought it and I want it in a timely manner that I paid an extra $50 for expedited shipping. DO NOT SHOP HERE if you want your skates and gear in a timely fashion without attitude. Talk to Kelly hes very personable and truly wants to make things right but that woman just made it to where Ive changed my mind and will not shop with them again. EVER!
In March 2017, we ordered a skating dress and while it took awhile to arrive we understood that to be typical so we ordered well in advance. The problem arose when the dress we received belonged to another patron. The contents of the package included this other patrons dress as well as their order form that included their name and some personal information. Since their email was included I sent this individual an email (after initially contacting discount skatewear and not receiving a quick response). I asked if they would like me to ship the dress to them. This was when it was discovered she had my dress and my personal information as well. We paid our own postage to send the dresses to each other as at this point we are getting close to competition dates. I was not offered from discount skatewear any reimbursement for this shipping to correct their error. They said ok, thanks.Fast forward to Sept. 2017. I placed an order for a pair of skate pants. I measured my daughter and followed the chart. My daughter also has other pants from this manufacturer. So I ordered the same size and confirmed it with the discount skatewear website size chart that I was ordering correctly. The pants arrived a couple of weeks later and my daughter could not get them over her thighs. The size chart measurements DO NOT match the pants! So the pants were either tagged incorrectly or they fit differently than how they are listed on chart.I sent them back. My dime for return shipping. I was told to expect a refund - less a 15% restocking fee. The pants were never even fully tried on, the tags were in tact and sent back in original packaging. I was told the only way the 15% restocking fee is not charged if there is an exchange. I didnt want to pay ANOTHER shipping fee to discover the next size pant isnt accurate either.DS had the returned pants in their possession for 11 days so I sent them a note today to find out when I would be receiving the refund. That was when they decided to process the refund after receiving my email.I was hesitant to leave this review as I believed this to be one of only a few websites to order the types of skate dresses and skate accessories my daughter enjoys. After talking to my daughter and other skating parents, I found this to not be the case and we do have options.Pant cost review: Paid $60.49 (pants + shipping + tax) + $8.35 (return shipping) = 68.84 total spent. Refund received from DS = $39.73. Total cost Im out of pocket is $29.11 - and DS can sell the pants again.
Sized me incorrectly and oversold me on skates 2 years ago. They take MONTHS to get anything in (if you ever receive it) if you order while it is out of stock in the store. They still have a set of wristguards my friend dropped off 2 years ago to get fixed and have yet to fix them.They USED to be the only place to buy roller skates/derby gear that wasnt in a rink, and they no longer are. Save the time and money, go to DerbySupply in Tempe.
