Lies about prices on drinks and there wasn’t anyone there. Also watch out for the bartenders they would’ve give you what you’ve paid for and they also slipped something in my drink. Beware seriously.

We booked a group event on the first floor and they didnt take card at the bar in our designated area. people were sent upstairs to pay with card and could not leave the second floor until they finished their drinks. When we expressed our concerns the manager was extremely rude and unwilling to cooperate in a level headed manner.

Came on a Friday Night. They charged $20. The party was upstairs (away from the front entrance eyesight). I went upstairs to find no one but 9 people up there. Such a rip off. Should of charged at most $5 for this experience. The only thing I did appreciate was the venue set up (hence the extra star given).

Dont come here Its 20 a person just to get in on top of needing to pay for a hookah. On top of that the whole place wasnt even open. So mad I wasted time and money coming here.

I am visiting Philly from N.C. and I went there NYE 2018. I was annoyed as soon as I walked through the door. The bouncer lied stating coat check was mandatory when there were a bunch of people with their coats on. The security staff was rude all around, not really to be but to other people. And might I say, this place is GHETTO as fk. When have you ever seen a lounge let folks in wearing sweats, exercise snap pants, T-shirt’s and etc. The ONLY plus is the kitchen stays open all night lol

Terrible and rude manager. We got scammed going in, false advertising by the staff and they would not refund. Don’t waste your time coming here, it’s expensive for no damn reason.

They started with the line to get past security then another unorganized line to get into the club. Got yelled at by security super unorganized ! Once in the bartenders were so drunk themselves customer service was invisible at least the music was good !

Not anything special at all. Nice size venue and staff is actually very pleasant and welcoming. The vibe of the security and the girls running the cash booth had me really excited but they need a new dj. His music was completely awful, couldn’t dance to it. Everyone was just standing around waiting for a good song. Whenever he played a beat to a song you know he would then change it to some other song no one knew (or like 3 people knew). It got really funny I thought it was a joke but no, he did that the whole hour and ten minutes I was there. His music is not on the same level as the rest of the philly bars. I was sobering up waiting for a good song. I would have had more fun with old people at the casino across the street. Not worth a cover, I guess if your under 21 and can’t get in anywhere else then this is the place for you, other wise, go sowhere else!

My friends and I go every weekend! We love the food and the servers are the Best. The staff is #1 in my book. Keep it up Bside!

Pretty standard looking bar. Went on a slow Sunday night, they charged a $20 cover. Wasnt allowed to sit at a table because I didnt have bottle service, despite the fact that less than a third of the tables were occupied. Finished my drink and left 15 minutes later.

Worse service ever ! We got a VIP for my fiancé’s birthday and we had the worse service ! It was so unorganized! For what we spent they can at least give better service and be more organized . What’s the point in reserving a vip if your workers act confused and lost . We were supposed to get discount at the door for cover charge and the girl working as the cashier had a whole attitude and tried to charge more including the security. I would never recommend this place if you are looking for a vip section. You’ll be waiting for an hour just to get your bottles and hookah .

I came here for an event and the bouncers were incredibly rude: they tried and failed a number of times to manage the line (which included yelling at people to move back) which led to us standing in the freezing cold for an hour while the people being yelled at were let in first. When we finally got in, no one was allowed upstairs without checking their coat. At that point, there was no way I was waiting in yet another line that wouldnt move to waste even more time and money at this horrendous venue. Will never return. Worst venue ever!

The worst scumbags on the face of the earth run this place. Worst service in the history of the world like before the cavemen got served coconut cocktails or before dinosaurs served each other mud bath moon pies. So bad that google needs to make a negative star option.

If you are looking for a hood club and a gynecological exam and anal exam go here. The bouncers are ridiculous they open your wallet looking for what i do not know. I understand checking these teens and people under 21. But after a certain age i dont like to be molested to get into a club, especially if i am visiting from out of town. Save yourself the embarrassment and go to a nice bar where you dont have to get rubbed on by random people. No i was not intoxicated going into the club or dressed like a hooker. They should let people know how they will be checked before they enter the club. Even the TSA does not violate people this badly.

They have a cover charge thats $10 for women but $15 for men, which is just whack. Is this a college party? Everything there is extremely over priced, just like every other sketchy hookah establishment. Their food is bad and tastes like its been microwaved.They charge $100 just to reserve ONE TABLE, and that isnt including the cover or any drinks or food you might want to order. Do they think theyre some high class club? Their TVs were playing weird swimsuit model videos for an hour before they switched it to some basketball game.And of course theyre cash only / dont take cards where you pay the cover, so youre forced to use the ATM that charges you $3.00. Youre better off buying your own damn hookah and just chilling someplace on your own.

Worst serice I have ever experienced. The cover charge was $20 and they dont tell you that you have to spend another $500(minimum) in bottle service to even get a place to sit. So you and fighting for a seat or standing roon at the bottle to smoke your hookah or eat any food.waited 30 minutes to get 2 very weak ciroc and pineapple mixed drinks which were $26...then waited another 30 minutes to get my hookah order taken at the bar which wasnt rang up so I ended up having to go to another bar/waitress to get the hookah order taken again. Then try to find a place to smoke the hookah. No one was dancing because the entire middle of the place is reserved for the $500 tabs. I wouldnt suggest you go unless you are planning on spending at least $1000, that may be the only way you get service.

Horrible experience. 1st bouncer placed our 21 bands on the right side once we got upstairs to get drinks the 2nd bouncer literally yelled at my girls and I saying we have to go back down stairs or he can excourt us out to our car in a very rude way.. Once we got down stairs my girl friend was trying to explain the situation to bouncer #3 and bouncer #4 just came out of nowhere and said he wouldnt say that dont listen to them... Feeling EXTREMELY disrespect my girls and I called a cab because honestly being from NYC I NEVER had bouncers treat people in such a rude way!!! Horrible 30 mins of my life.. Wouldnt recommend this place to anyone..!!!! The owner should definitely reconsider hiring better staff.

I am so disappointed. It was our first time at Bside since they left old city. At the beginning of the night the security and staff that we encountered were pleasant. We ordered bottle service to celebrate a friends birthday. The venue is very spacious to the point it was fairly empty the majority of the time we were there.. Towards the end of the evening there was one security person by our section (who, by the way was not doing his job, but instead dancing and flirting the entire time) just was overly aggressive for no reason with my husband. It was toward the end of the night we are grooving, dancing and singing...which I thought was the whole point of going to a nightclub. There was ample walking space for people to get around us and the security tells my husband he needs to go back in our section, he calls over another security person and for the remainder of the time we were there made us feel uncomfortable as they just stared at us to make sure we wouldnt have a good time. It was unnecessary. I mean he was intoxicated like everyone else, but he did not bump into anyone, he was not disrespectful...all he was doing was dancing. I guess Bside expects their patrons to be stiff and not try to enjoy the music, drinks and atmosphere. I will not be going back. They should have stayed in old city. Spend your money at a place that will encourage you to enjoy your night out.

There service was horrible. They do not warn you about unexpected charges and there are no refunds, even if you do not use their services or buy any of their goods.

Not sure why these guys think they should be running a restaurant/hookah lounge. First, they charge a $15 cover without informing us that we would need to spend a minimum of $100 if we wanted a table.After waiting for 30 mins, the table charge went from $50 minimum, $150 minimum back to $100 minimum. The table prices appear to be more unstable than the New York stock exchange.We finally settled for a hookah (cherry and mint) and chicken wings while standing at the bar. Needless to say, the hookah was all smoke and no flavor. I have smoked in many places in philly and this felt like daylight robbery. People all around us were coughing from the crappy hookah.Wont be going back...ever!

This place has changed, i used to love the place but now they are far to money hungry. 10$ cover 20 al fakhar hookah and 8$ a yuengling.

HUGE venue, nice crowd, reasonable drink and cover prices. DJs could mix it up more.
