Freedom Machine Tattoo

I visited about a month ago to get my first tattoo. Chase Otis was my artist. It was a straightforward and relaxed process. I brought in an idea I would like done and he designed several versions of it to give me plenty of options. This was for a black and grey tattoo. The whole tattoo process took about 5 hours (it’s a larger piece) and it came out even better than I had imagined. Chase did great work and it all healed up quickly. I would recommend him to anyone looking to get a tattoo.

Looked around to different tattoo places in Austin since I just moved here. Mingo had some awesome work on IG so I decided to go with him for my tattoo. I got a tattoo for my late sister. Mingo drew up a beautiful tattoo based off one I showed him.The shop is easy to find. Its on a corner. The shop has an open setup and is clean. No one can go behind the counter so if you bring someone they will have to be on the other side of the counter. They do have a place to sit and the distance you will be away from someone isnt very far. They only accept cash but there is an ATM right across the street.I would definitely recommend Freedom Machine Tattoo. Ive had nothing but a good experience with them and already plan on getting another tattoo from Mingo.

Mike Iacono has created my last four tattoos and hes excellent! He always has great ideas on how to improve my tattoo design. The shop is clean and works very efficiently. Staff is helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. Highly recommended!

Very cool space, was able to get a quick appointment with Chase and he was amazing! I just got a simple lettering on my arm done, but it was beautiful and fast and he was really thoughtful about a couple of adjustments to the font I liked to make it more readable. Clean, all precautions in place, I felt very safe and love the new tattoo!

The facility was very clean, and the staff was very friendly. Chase worked on my tattoo. I have an old tattoo above my ankle, and I have never been happy with it. Chase and his skills updated my tattoo and added to it. It came out AMAZING!!! I will definitely be recommending this place to everyone I know.

Ive had a couple pieces done here and my brother just got one done yesterday. Were both happy with the work and would go back for more.

Salina does such an amazing job with brows!! My brows were a sad site after years of thyroid problems and cancer. I was overcompensating with makeup to try my best to have good brows and it definitely wasn’t working. After having my brows done by Salina it gave me back the confidence to be able to leave the house without even having to think about “fixing” my brows first. She pays attention to detail and really gives you the shape and shading that will be best for your face and is attentive to your concerns and what you want! Wouldn’t ever consider going anywhere else!!

Mike did an amazing job! His attention and use of color exceeded my expectations. I will definitely be back.

Having my brows done by Salina was one of the best decisions I made in 2019. It gave me the confidence I was looking for. I go out of the house make-up free but still have brows! She did a combination of a powder brow & microblading on my brows!Salina is the sweetest and very professional! Highly recommend her for all of your semi-permanent make-up needs! She is the very best!

This tattoo shop is a highly professional shop that puts the customer first! Mike has done a few pieces on myself from a memorial tattoo for a friend who passed away from cancer to a tough panther on my knee!!!

Did some extensive research after calling around the Austin area this shop was the one of the only ones that called me back right away thanks to Selina set my appt up with Mingo & more than happy his work came out beautiful I’ll be returning to finish up my sleeves. Btw I came all the way from Victoria and it was well worth the drive. Thanks Mingo!!

My wife and I went there in May of 2018. We went to get our first tattoos together and after much researching and reading reviews, we settle on Freedom Machine. We went for a consolation and we were quoted an approximate amount for our matching tattoos; something simple...Roman numerals of our anniversary date.We got our tattoos (the numbers were not even an inch tall) in less than 45mins for both of us. When we were charged $200 each we were shocked to hear it was more than we were quoted, but we still paid. I was more so shocked when I learned from talking to many other tattoo artists and enthusiasts that we paid $200 for a $30-$50 amount of work!My advice, if you’re new to getting a tattoo, don’t go here. If you do go, make sure you get a price locked in before you get your work done or you will get ripped off like we did! Other than that, this place is for regulars that they know or people who are experienced in tattoos.I want another tattoo, but knowing what I know now, I’m very apprehensive and I surely will not return to Freedom Machine. I will also tell everyone I know that is interested in getting a tattoo to steer clean of this place, they’ll rip you off!

You wont find another shop like this one in the Austin area. The atmosphere is perfect for the setting of this old school bank turned tattoo parlor... its like stepping into the past! The Freedom Machine artists are simply amazing. They do beautiful work, everyone is super friendly and, above all, they are Very Professional. Do yourself a favor, check out Freedom Machine! I wouldnt go anywhere else!!

I will never get a tattoo anywhere else but here!!! Ryan did an amazing piece for me and it turned out better than I could have imagined it! Definitely high quality. All 3 guys are crazy talented. The shop is superb... clean, cool, relaxed atmosphere, where you DONT feel like youre walking into a death shop! My husband and I have already gotten a couple of friends to go here as well, and they feel the same way! In my opinion, this is the best place to go!

When I visited the shop, Chase assisted me with setting up an appointment and listening to what I was interested in. He asked me which artist I would like to use. I like that he gave me the option. He was able to see my vision, so I chose him. I scheduled an appointment for the next day. When I came in he had drawn up a couple options and he helped me with sizes. He was awesome when it came to wanting to know what I liked and didnt. He was also very patient. The tattoos came out beautifully! They were even better than I imagined. The shading was right on and the color was perfect. Awesome job Chase! The shop itself is very clean and organized. It was a pleasant experience all the way around!

Freedom machine tattoo is everything a tattoo shop should be. The shop is clean and enjoyable to be in. Mike is very good when it comes to tattooing and offers professional advice. He took a half finished tattoo I had and with his ideas made it a much better tattoo. The shop and staff are very organized and professional and anyone looking to get a tattoo whether for the first time or after many times, I recommend this shop. I am currently stationed outside the state but this is where I will get my tattoos.

My husband and I each had a tattoo done by Mike Condon. Ive had three other tattoos and my husband has had one. Mike is seriously the nicest guy, ever! He makes you feel really comfortable and works really well with you on what you want, etc. Not only that, his work is fantastic! The tattoos he did on my husband and I are the best ones we have had done, by far! They look amazing, and something Ill be proud to have on my body forever! Ryan is an amazing artist ....insanely talented!!!! He will let you know what will and will not work for the area you want tattooed. If you go in expecting to cram an entire circus show on your forearm thats going to be a negative ghost writer. You will however come out with a beautiful piece of art that will last a lifetime.

Mike did my original tattoo awesome job but iCame back for more but got a different artistMingo, worse experience everHe quoted 700-900$Once I got there the original price went up to 1150$ and I was not getting half of what he originally said he would do. Very dissatisfied especially since I had such a great experience with MikeJust lost a loyal customer

Mike did my tattoo, and my mothers tat. Mine was a tribal wolf, hers was a Treble-cleft and song notes. He did absolutely amazing on both. will be stopping by again before i head out to Cali so i can get one more tat.

Got a large composition piece on my thigh from Ryan. He completed the tattoo in 4 settings, starting in August and completed the first part of Oct this year. I couldnt be happier! This is only my third tattoo, the other two are much smaller. Each of the two hour sessions were easily tolerable. The tattoo healed up nicely and is beautiful. All three of the artists, Ryan, David and Mike, were friendly and the overall experience was very good! Nice shop, nice guys and a sweet tattoo!!

This guy is very clean and professional and I was very pleased with my tat. It has been 15 yrs since I got my first one so I was a little nervous. I forgot his name already but he made me feel very comfortable and did a great job. Thanks dude, whatever your name is.

Got my first tattoo by Ryan, hes just fantastic! I searched for over a year for the right artist as I was in no hurry to get my tattoo by just any Joe Blow, I wanted it to be from the right person with the right skill and a great attitude.I walked in to Freedom Machine in November talked with Ryan and set an appointment for Jan 28th,14. The shop is VERY clean and tidy and the interior design is really cool!Ryan called me about a week before my appointment to chat and get started on my design (which at that point I changed at the last min) he didnt miss a beat, telling me great I can get that drawn up no problem and he did just That, exceeding my expectations .The day of my appointment I walked in SUPER nervous palms sweaty with nerves and excitement. Ryan was waiting for me ready to go, very nice and by far the most professional of ALL the artists I searched though. I was originally getting my piece on my chest but per Ryans suggestions I chose my arm so the flow of the tattoo would work better and he was Right it looks great!I will be coming back in August to get my next piece from him, hes just amazing and a really great guy. I recommend him to anyone wanting black and gray or portrait!

Im 57 years old and decided to get my first tattoo. I asked around and Freedom Machine was highly recommended. I gave Ryan a drawing I did in memory of my Mom and Dad and he came up with an amazing tattoo. He is an awesome artist and will use him again. I always heard that it was painful but I hardly noticed him working on me. So if you want a clean quality place go to Freedom Machine Tattoo in Pflugerville Texas.

Went here to get my first tattoo and I dont remember his name, I think it was Cory or Chris. He answered any questions I had and was totally patient and even made a few suggestions on making my tattoo look a little better before he drew it up. Its all healed now and I absolutely love it!

Wanted a tat to honor my father....a Vietnam War Vet. Mingo did an amazing job of bringing my vision to life. He also has a nice gentle hand. The shop is clean, but not cold and sterile. Freedom Machine is one of the top 5 things I love about Pflugerville!

Went here on a whim one day to get tattoos and the place was very clean, the artists are obviously talented and we were very pleased. Well be back!

I went shopping around for an artist for my first tattoo, last year. I tried a couple places that were recommended to me. I didnt get a very good vibe from any of them. I felt uncomfortable, and moved on quickly from each place. I went to Freedom Machine on a final recommendation from a co-worker. I had a very specific and personally significant piece I wanted done. When i showed it to David, he knew exactly what it was, and suggested that I talk with Mike. Mike and David talked it over with me, and made me feel totally comfortable. I set an appointment with mike for a couple weeks later. As the day approached, I got an email from mike. He told me that my design wasnt going to work. he could do it, but in five years, it would not have aged well. The lines were too weak, and it was too detail oriented. I was really disappointed, but I was REALLY glad that he told me. He could have just taken my money and gave me a tattoo that would have looked like crap later. I showed him the design I was saving for my next piece . He said that it would be no problem. I showed up for my original appointment time, and he said he had made some modifications to the design. I was amazed by what he showed me. He had taken the simple design and just added some really elegant details to it, that made it an amazing piece to look at. Mike was great the entire time he was doing the work. We talked about music the whole time, and it went by super fast. The end result was a fantastic piece that still routinely gets me compliments. It is a year later, and I still am super happy everytime I look at my tattoo.Anytime someone asks me about where i got my tattoo done, I tell them. I tell them go to Freedom Machine, and ask for Mike Iacono. You will be very happy with the results. Im getting ready to go back and get Mike to quote a new piece for me, and cant wait to do this all again.

I came in to discuss getting the 1/2 inch text around my ankle covered up. I had an idea what I wanted but the tattoo artist told me that he would have to tattoo me at least up to my knee to cover it up. I can appreciate trying to drum up business but what he was requiring was ridiculous and he was very smug about it. He wouldnt discuss it further with me until I agreed to tattoo half of my leg! I have quite a few tattoos and was insulted that he tried to squeeze nothing less than $1000 out of me. I dont mind paying good money for good work but this kid was just plain rude. No comment on the quality of the work or cleanliness of the place because the artist tried to rip me off.

The shop is nice and clean, you are greeted when you come in and the artists are professional.

Two different coworkers highly recommended Freedom Machine for a portrait tattoo I wanted. Made an appt for consultation and was sold. I couldnt be happier with the work I had done. Ryans work is 2nd to none, cool shop on the inside, nice tunes rockin, a little bit of a drive from Buda but well worth it. Going back as soon as theres an opening for some more work.Couple months later.After the portrait by Ryan I went back for something Ive wanted on my calves since I was a young guy. Almost 50 now and finally got the work done and Im so happy that Im headed back again. Check out Freedom Machine is about all I can say.
