The Art Studio was very clean and bright. There were a lot of choices of ceramic pieces but not so many wood pieces. The studio was empty so we had the whole place to ourselves. The employee was friendly but not very knowledgeable of the studio or techniques. She called her boss a number of times while we were there in order to ask questions. The glass fusion was very pricey and the ceramic pieces were comparable to other studios in the city. We found a few things frustrating but they can be easily remedied:1. Paints for ceramics were not accessible, and the palettes offered for the colors were very small; not a good dish for larger pieces.2. The stencils available for ceramics or wood were only letter stencils in once size. A variety of sizes plus a variety of stencils would be welcome.3. The ceramics were well labeled. The wood items were not all labeled, and the glass painting had two signs with contradictory prices (see below).4. The employee was worried about the painting tables getting dirty so she handed my teenagers a pile of paper towels to spread out under their large wooden planks. I asked for newspaper, which she didnt have. So I asked for the paper that they use to wrap finished items and she was gracious to give us that; hopefully that will be offered in the future. Separately, why would they have tables at a painting studio that cant get dirty or dont wash well?5. We have been to many art studios and the employees set up the tables with supplies, as well as roam while we are working. At Creative license, the employee stayed behind the desk and just handed supplies to us. We would have appreciated more interaction and advice.6. Because of the contradictory signage, I was overcharged for glass painting. The employee was apologetic and refunded me with no hassle.I think that with improving the above, I would be able to raise the number of stars given to the studio. Good luck!

This place is the best. So fun and super friendly staff. Great pricing, great environment. Also very clean. I would highly recommend. Both of my kids absolutely loved it and now we have a few neat keepsakes. Angela is the best. You won’t find a nicer, helpful person.

Love this new space-bright and cheerful. Have created at the Hartford store, but this is much closer! So many choices for creating. Paint pottery or learn to fuse glass. Your art is ready in about a week- they must get ‘fired’ in the kiln. Or paint a canvas or wood board-take home that day. The hardest part is always choosing what you want to create and then what colors to use! Stop in and check them out. The staff is friendly & knowledgeable!!
