Its expensive first of all... We arrived there at 5:02pm and 2 of us wanted to golf. They told us they stop renting carts at 5, I thought they were kidding, they werent. So we took our business elsewhere. Good riddens. Dave is a good guy there, this wasnt Dave unfortunately.
Nice place to play, has tees for all type of golfers. If your new this is a great course to play at. Has a driving range and chipping green as well. No hotdogs at turn so keep that at mind.
Terrible. For my wife and I as seniors pay $50 on a weekend with a cart for nine holes was outrageous. The tee offs were filled with weeds, the fairways were cut so short it felt like hitting off asphalt and the greens were terrible with all of the divits punched into them. On top of all of that I asked the guy at the desk if they sanitized the carts after we finished he told me they was them all down after the end of the day. Go elsewhere. The course is not well maintained and overpriced. Lucky they got one star.
Only played the front 9. Challenging holes. Nicely maintained. Fun to play.
As always friendly staff and a good time.
Terrible rude and spineless owner or manager. Had a problem with how we where spending our time there never said a word to us till we where done. Watched us play almost the whole time but couldnt have come up to us and said what we where doing wrong that other people had a problem with. . Stuck up people will never go again. I dont work 80 hours a week plus to enjoy my time off being micromanaged.
The course is just okay. Have played it close to 10 times. What gets me is the cost. Last time I called, owner said $30 for a senior, 18 holes w/cart. I play close to 30 different courses and the highest I pay is $25 for Maumee Bay and Riverby. Usually my cost is $19-$22. Their price is absurd particularly for the course. Should be $20.Another aggravation: tax on top of the fee that is also unique to Crosswinds. I think the owner just doesnt care about volume of golfers.
30 dollars for seniors is a little steep. They just keep increasing prices but dont see any improvements. Tee boxes are still very uneven.
Terrible service. Walked in to pay for 9 holes and a golf cart and the person working behind the counter (Bigger heavy set older male). Starting to give me and my friends attitude. I also bought a cigar and ask the man if he could cut it for me (seeing that there was a cigar cutter in the case full of cigars). He told me to just poke a hole in it with a tee. After paying and driving out to hole 1 he drove a golf cart out and started to harass me and my friend. Then on the 2nd hole he came out again to once again harass us. I will never come here again. I rather go to Brandywine and pay an extra 5 to play on their course.
Nice course, friendly staff
Your staff is extremely unprofessional and rude. 6 of us came in early on Sunday the 15th and upon walking in to pay the older gentleman who was working was extremely rude to all 6 of us. Poor field conditions. The old man working went out of his way to harass us two times for things were extremely uncalled for and incorrect. Your golf course is trash!
I’ve played here several times over the past few years and enjoyed it every time!!! I’ve seen the “bad” reviews and wondered if these people thought they were going golfing at a posh country club?...lol...it’s a great learning course people for the kids!!! I’ve been saying we have to keep this sport going in this world of technology and social media and video games!!! The man in the clubhouse has always been super friendly and that means a lot when going to different golf courses!!!
Went out tonight, perfect 70 degrees, and the course was perfect. I played the front nine, but I have played all 18 before. A lot of haters in these reviews, but I have to say I really like this course. It is very quiet as it sits off the road so no cars or people around except the ones on the course and it has some interesting features on just about every hole. The groundskeeper seems to have stepped up because the course was prob the best Ive ever seen it tonight. I had a great time and would highly recommend.
This is not a very long course, a good place to practice irons. Has a diving range and carts. The owner is very big into developing young kids into golfers. I recommend this place to anyone interested in learning or wanting to improve their game.
Terrible place of business, I took my brother to the driving range on a hot day. We got our golf balls and were done with 100 of them then got kicked out because I was in a tank top. We had already been there over an hour and it is not posted anywhere nor was it mentioned when I walked In the building. The course is in bad shape as it is. Just go somewhere else until its under new management.
Best hot dogs around. Course in great shape, employees super helpful. Would golf again.
Not impressed what so ever with place. Been there before and wasnt bad. It started with front gentleman at counter telling me they had a dress code for driving range. He was nice so no worries. Gave my polo to my friend and we went on with practicing at the driving range. Key word driving range. The cashier at counter said there is a gentleman picking up balls in field try to avoid him. Well first thing is its a driving range for a reason and if ur slicing hard right as we both were it might be a problem. As we were there to try fix this problem. It might be safer to play in traffic if you ask me but whatever. So we went to practice, needless to say we sliced right and yelled four when this gentleman proceeds to scream at us and everyone else out there that we were trying to hit him. This was NOT THE CASE and needless to say I wasnt pleased and screamed back. Mind you when we went there was about 15 high school kids out there practicing. Way to represent the business. My advice go somewhere else as I will going forward.
My daughter takes lessons here and it is a fantastic experience. A nice easy course, and a great beginner and practice course for everyone.
Dandelions and weeds were tolerable before the recent price hike. Now its not. I can go to much nicer courses and play nine holes for 22.50.
So informative. I am gonna return and take lessons along with my 5 year old grand daughter
Would give it 0 stars if I could! I took my son out there, we played 9 holes together. With my 9 hole greens fee and a junior 9 hole greens fee with a cart, the total cost was $41!!!....and the course itself is not good at all!
Could be good if they had someone with a turf management degree. Simple design and poor condition make this a course to avoid at any price.
Awesome environment and good peolpe.
Not worth going to even if it was free. Course conditions are awful, either overgrown grass or playing on concrete. Left covered in mosquito bites and a few ticks. Gave it a few chances, but never going back.
Great Club!
Good place to play
Nice course.
