CowTown Range

Coming from NJ, this place is an absolute dream come true. There isn’t a place like this anywhere else. The freedoms you have to train without any distractions. Becoming a member was one of the best decisions my wife and I made. Plus the events they hold every week/month are amazing.Bill is an absolute pleasure and it’s obvious he really cares about the range and it’s future. He’s always going the extra mile for everyone. A true gem in the desert.This place is one of kind. I wish I could give it 10 stars.

So happy we bought a family membership for Christmas! No more crowds at Ben Avery or shooting surrounded by strangers on BLM land. Now I reserve my range online and it is mine...no sharing or wondering if it will be available.Bill Johnson, manager and all around great guy, has been awesome to work with.From pistols/close range work, to long range precision platforms...they have you covered.Should have joined earlier.

Horse range with gun range... and you could run the horses here! Amazing experience, for sure to go back!

Great facility with exceptional options for long range shooting that goes well past 1000 yards. It’s private but for those that are looking for a less crowded experience than Ben Avery this place is a very good option.

Cowtown is an amazing experience! They have 3 different environments. If you have an interest in sniper rifles - you’ll find half a dozen platforms looking down on a valley with multiple red and yellow targets. So your shooting from altitude and over significant distance. Highly recommended!!! Make sure you checkout the old western ghost town movie set.

A very well organized range with a very good booking system. I have been a member for less than a year but have encountered no issues at all. Rob and his staff do a bang up job.

I love this range. Its easy to schedule a time on the range, they just added lights which is great. You are able to come out run your own drills at your own speed without having to stop shooting every 15 minutes like the public ranges.

CowTown Range is by far the best range I have ever used. Love the long range platforms to hone your skills whether for hunting or teaching your daughter.Enables me to have great confidence when I take that 600 yard shot on that elk. 1 shot 1 kill.The pistol bays are also 2nd to none.Honored to be a member!

Best investment into me time i have ever made. Nice to be in a safe, responsible environment where you are in charge of you. If you can take care of you......this is Disneyland for gun people.

I have been a Cowtown member for the past two years and it has been a very positive experience. They offer anything from pistol bays to 1,000+ yard shooting, which I havent found anywhere else in Arizona. After some initial problems, the reservation process for the bays is easy and reliable and I usually get range time when I ask for it. Overall I would say the membership is definitely worth the money.

Super nice outdoor range. I like the fact that the ranges are separated by type of shooting. The layout within the mountains made it feel very safe. Would recommend for enthusiast.

Only the highest level of professionalism and expertise resides at this range. If you want to experience the best without a novice looking over your shoulder. This is the place for you!

Very nice range! Meeting and talking with other members makes me glad I have a memebership. They’re great. The range master communicates well and gives quick response to his members. Their new booking system online is easy to use and works well. All the matches at this range have been very professional. Keep up the great work Cowtown!

Was surprised at how much there was to do. Staff was great and we had a really fun day. Much more interesting that your standard, flat range. Definitely will be visiting again soon.

Beautiful and relaxing horse back ride with my daughter Peyton and her Nany/my mother... lol. If your looking to do more than a slow walk on your horse this probably isnt your best pic, if walking is what you want than its a perfect ride for you!.

Cowtown is unsurpassed by its offerings. I have yet to find a single venue that allows for pistol through long range...really long range. It’s comfortable with facilities and proximity to great eateries!You really need to check it out

I have a member for two years and couldnt be happier with facility, R/Os and other members I have been lucky enough to run into there. Wednesday night steel is a blast. I bring a bunch of friends out every chance we get. I havent been able to attend any available classes yet but hope to soon.

Superb range to shot rim fire to high caliber long range. It’s the best kept secret in town.

Awesome facility! Staff is super knowledgeable and will be more than happy to shoot with you or let you try some of their personal weapons.

I finally found shooting Nirvana! So many options,clean facilities and room to do my thing. Range availability is no problem and help is but a phone call away. OoRah.

New management it sounds like and it has gone downhill. Went here a couple times before and everything was fine. Took a class here a few weeks ago and it was very unorganized, stages were poorly setup and nobody seemed to care. Sprawling hitting the top of my hat all day throughout class, Will not be going here again

Cowtown has a great & versatile variety of ranges, offering an opportunity to pick up & hone skills in a safe outdoor setting. Highly recommended!

This is a great range. Having a bay to yourself to run drills is way better than being trapped in an indoor range where you forced to bullseye shoot.

This range has everything You need ! The bays are always clean ! And if you want to go long ... their east and west platforms will make you smile ! I will never shoot in the open desert because..you never know who is out there or where a possible ricochet might cross! I’m glad I am a member !

As a Grandmaster competitive shooter and member of the USA Shooting team, it is important to be able to spend quality time training. Cowtown range has been my second home for four years. (Truth is I have been coming to Cowtown for 15 years, as part of its former movie town)The staff, range surface and beautiful backdrop make this a wonderful place to practice. The member only limit means I can train without distraction, and can schedule sessions to work into my match schedule.I have also attended a few of the classes, as well as their weekly matches, which are often attended by top shooters.Thanks to the owners and staff at Cowtown for allowing me to share your wonderful facility.

Great place for long distance (up to 1375 yards).

Best place in the Phoenix area to shoot no matter what kinda of shooter you are.

We are very fortunate to have such a great place to shoot both short and long range.

Its a good range. Improvements are in the planning stage and I will give it a higher rating when they have been completed. Nice open air range.

Very nice and functional facility. Highly recommend!

Under new management since about October I believe and now member only. This has cleared up the service issues.The facility is beautiful with an amazing Cliff backdrop and 6 huge open bays with 5 roughly 50y x 30y and one 90yx50y. They also have 5 long platforms for rifles with targets out from 104y to up to 692y.The large format bays mean you have privacy and space to set up your targets as you wish and shoot at your pace.

Great staff...Wednesday night steel moves along. You can expect to shoot 5 stages in just over an hour. Lots of running but hey I could use the exercise. Lots of fun.

Went there for an event. Great facilities for close range and long range work. not sure about normal membership but worth attending an event out there if you can.

First time at the long range liked the layout of the targets, many targets, many ranges

Great range with tons of variety. Show up at AZ 2 Gun matches to really test your skill.

Awesome range where youre allowed to practice with big boy rules! A lot safer environment then practicing in a wash in the desert and not that expensive considering the quality of the range.

The new scheduling system even makes Cowtown a better place to shootTom H

Loved it, everyone there was nice, fun, and very welcoming, they evened out teams between experienced and inexperienced, overall great experience and Im planning on going back

Had a great day shooting at this range. Its nice to have a large open range all to yourself...no need to worry about or wait for other people before you go check your targets.

Absolutely disgusting staff in terms of behavior at the horse riding area. Very rude, and does not follow up with any of their promises. They are also essentially thieves as they took our money and did not deliver any service.

If u have any kind of color 2 your skin this is not the place 4 u the ppl dont like Mexican or and color. so if your not a hillbilly or a redneck good luck..the owner is very rude
