We were able to get free parking and walk along the magnificent Hudson River in all its glory. The plantings and flowers were beautiful.

This place brings me peace. The view is amazing and the place is usually quiet. It’s a park first a foremost so please enjoy it but if you want some peace and quiet, there are benches and seats closer to the river that are worth visiting.

One of few parks truly designed for families. Cute play area for the children, picnic to relax by the water and grill area under the gazebo. Super friendly environment and I witnessed the major playing catch with the neighborhood kids. On this particular day the AHC was in the park dancing and drumming delivering a powerful healing session full through rhythm, positive energy and love. Truly and exciting and welcomed treat.

Wonderful location in front of water, great playground area (best for kids 3 and up) and places to eat right in front of park. Clean bathrooms too. Loved too.

Generally a nice park but no one picks up after their dogs in this park. There is dog poop spread out throughout the park.The park has a bathroom and a kids play area. Nearby shops are nice and convenient.

BeautifulA nice walk, a breath of fresh air

Riverfront green is a wonderful place to get out of your funk!! It has a great walkway from Peekskill train station winding along the river, down to China pier! Great scenery, exercise as you go at your own pace. Friendly people along the way! You can even walk with your doggy, as long as it is a friendly doggy! Just beautiful!

Wide-open park space along the waterfront. Clean and well-mowed. Bathrooms on-site in season, and free streetside or metered parking nearby. The park features a playground for younger kids. Many options for eateries around the park ranging from lower to high end. MetroNorth is directly adjacent, which is a mixed blessing insofar as it makes the park very accessible, but disrupts the parks tranquility with screeching train whistles every thirty minutes or so.

This park I discovered when it hosted 2018’s Irish Festival. The park is very spacious, with a waterfront and playground. Grounds very well maintained. Unfortunately the park’s serenity is disturbed frequently by MetroNorth’s trains which arrive at and depart from Peekskill’s station about twice per hour.

Beautiful and peaceful park with amazing views, well-groomed grounds, and interesting sculptures throughout. If you can, get there for a sunset at the parks sandy beach with views of the Hudson and Bear Mountain.FYI the park is actually two adjacent parks: Riverfront Green and Scenic Hudson Park at Peekskill Landing.

Nice park with lots of space. There tends to be garbage on the ground occasionally but its a really nice place.

This was my first time attending this park. A friend had taken me here with her son. They have a nice gazebo, playground for the kids and a beautiful view of the Hudson river. It was a beautiful day to have a BBQ or a picnic. There were lots of local wild life. I would recommend at least to take a drive here and enjoy the area.

A beautiful park, with a fantastic view of Bear Mountain, across the Hudson River. The Hudson River is majestic from this viewpoint! The landscape has a calming effect on you.This location also houses one of the landmarks for Harriet Tubman; as she conducted the Underground Railroad.If you dont drive, then you should know that the Metro-North Peekskill station is at this location.Dont forget to hit the Like button below. With saying its great I summarize it all

Attended a function in the park. Some kind of plant sale I saw online. The function was terribly disappointing however the park was beautiful. The views were incredible. It was down right chilly with the breeze off the water but once the weather warms up Im sure that breeze will be refreshing. It was very family friendly and had a nice size playground for the kids and what looked like a covered pavilion.

, it was easy to get around in my wheelchair the views of the Hudson River beautiful. That day people were taking some pictures wedding pictures the background was the Hudson River lots of people go there I will go again so beautiful there are statues and sculptures to see. Also there is a place to rent some boats to go out on the river and they have a place to eat outside, theres a gazebo that you can picnic under I hear that they have music in the park at night I would like to go but the Paratransit stops about 7:30 p.m. so its very difficult to go there at that time go and experience the park for yourselves its a wonderful place to visit lots of parking oh and theres the train that goes through the park you have to go over the tracks to get there its so wonderful go

I love this place...one of the few places where you can relax and enjoy the day with family and friends

Everything was great on the playground until we needed a bathroom. The bathroom was closed for the season.

Loved it here! They have a play area with sprinklers for the kids. Its quiet and nice view out to the mountains and other side. Inky thing I didnt like was the annoying iscream truck although I did enjoy a cone but I think they should turn volume down when in that area!

Quaint scenic park by Metro North station with an ice cream parlor, bar and restaurants right across the street from the station and a really nice water front walking trail. No need to drive just take the train to Peekskill station and chill out.

Great place to relax with family

Great place for kids. They have a nice playground and have boat and jet skies and its nice park to walk around. Right next to the train station. They have a large gazebo for having barbecues.

Always a nice spot to visit, cook out, play and relax. Boat rides across the river daily... The sand pits for volley ball are nice..

It was a very beautiful sunset and park was clean and the river looked amazing. Nice place for kids to play too. Plenty of parking.

Been going here for years. Not taken care of as once was but still a great place to walk your dogs and enjoy nature.

Great view of hudson. Nice pier to walk out on and relax. Small walking trails with interesting metal art. Small play area good for kids 5 to 10. Open space, boat launching, train tracks etc. A few places to eat within walking distance (brewery, taco bar, coffee place, etc) also there is an excellent bakery South st Bakery. Must buy something there. Public rest room available.

A beautiful place to walk, relax and take a river boat ride. Peekskill Metro North, Hudson Line Station stop hugs this quaint area. Food and ice cream are all within walking distance.

Lovely park going to go back there more often

Lovely park used by lots of families. Nice dog walking areas. Dog waste disposal bags usually available. Thats important in keeping the park clean. Overall, very well kept, with occassional upgrades, like volleyball court, and new saplings.

Great place to go for a walk with the dog and chill out after a hard day at work, scenic and relaxing. Beautiful sunsets overlooking the mountains. Love the tranquility.️️️

Nice park on the Hudsons river Eastern shore. To the North you can see the Bear Mountain Bridge.Theres a boat ramp there, a large grassy area and a nice childrens playground. Just next to it is the Peekskill Train station.In the summer there are concerts in the grassy area, typically on Wednesday evenings. On 4th of July holiday theres a concert and afterwards nice fireworks - highly recommend.To the South theres a walking trail alongside the Hudson River that is very nice with several outlooks.To the North, a sort ride or walk theres the Early Electronics store, that is really like a super interesting museum. It closes early, so check.

Beautiful views of the Hudson valley...Nice to sit in the car, watch the seagulls & geese go about their day...Sit... eat your lunch there on a rainy day & enjoy the fog...On a sunny day we get to honor the those lost on 911....

The Juneteenth celebration was a nice get together. It was my first time attending. I will be back next year; with my folding chair and cooler.

Simply beautiful!!! The Hudson was as majestic as always. The only negative point was every square foot of the ground was covered in goose droppings!!!!!!

A beautiful place which is regularly improved by the city of Peekskill. There is a huge public pavillion complete with b b q grills. And a colorful kids playground. We go there often just for the gorgeous views along the river walk.

Love what theyve done with the Riverfront, just beautiful!. Now if they could do something about the disgusting goose poop everywhere! You cant really relax and enjoy if youre worried about where you are stepping or sitting, especially with little ones.

Painted by Edward W. Nichols (1819-1871). Nichols did many paintings of mountain peaks in the Northeast, and here focuses on the most southerly of the Hudson Highland peaks. This scene is unusual for Nichols work in that the mankinds presence is such a prominent feature.It seems the tide, still significant at this point on the River, is drawing the boats, and our imagination, through the gap to the narrow part of the River and what lies beyond.
