We stayed 3 days, 2 nights in the bears den cabin. The cabin was cozy and warm and the fireplace was a nice added feature. The location was great for hiking, seeing ruins, and going to the lake. Having the restaurant/ bar so close was ideal and the food was great.

This was a wonderful weekend escape from the desert heat! We stayed with an 11 month old and 5 year old and it was a very family friendly place with plenty of room for our pack n play and comfortable beds for the rest of us. We ate several times at the restaurant and the food was excellent! Our favorites were the wings, pizza, fish and chips and eggs benedict! Another highlight was the live music on the weekends!We hiked at the See Canyon Trailhead nearby and it was the perfect hike for us, mostly shaded and near the creek.We would definitely stay here again!

Cabins are adorable and clean. Holly took good care of us. Nice place to get away. November is a great month to visit very quiet. Nice restaurant on site, food was wonderful. We will be back.

Loved staying here! The cabin was clean and well maintained, and the staff was so friendly and accommodating. You can definitely tell the new owners really take pride in making your stay absolutely wonderful. It was a quick walk to the creek where my pup enjoyed playing in the water, and we enjoyed the live music from the Tavern. It was great- and surprising- that they had vegetarian options on their menu. I can’t wait to visit again.

My family enjoyed the (4) day stay at the Creekside Cabins. The cabin was clean with amenities such as a Keurig coffee maker, a mini refrigerator, and a microwave. We grilled outside and played horseshoes..Holly was Great, she was helpful with any questions we had and information that she thought we need it.

Great getaway location. Very close to miles of mountain bike trails and rock climbing. Staff is awesome. Food is great and the new outdoor patio with a fire pit is perfect for late night hangouts. Do not pass this place over!!!

We absolutely love coming to the Cabins at Creekside! The owners are super attentive, very detailed about the amenities & how to check in, etc. The cabins are spacious, clean and have nice little touches. There is no kitchen, just a mini fridge and microwave & coffee pot. I LOVE the porches, nice place to just hang, read, talk, eat, drink and play games in the crisp air. Both times weve stayed, its been cozy & quiet. This past weekend, there was live music at the restaurant, they played great covers and even staying across from the place, it wasnt too loud from inside the cabin and it quieted down by 9, 930ish? and this was a weekend. Its a great location close to some good hikes and the general store down the street is cute. We havent eaten at the restaurant but its nice to know its there and always smells good! There are grills to use on the premises which is also a good option. 100% recommend staying here!

Place was clean, dog friendly. The restaurant had live music we enjoyed! There were lots of places to go on nice walks with the dogs and very friendly staff!!

This place is so wonderful under the new ownership! The whole crew is so fun, friendly and attentive to everyone! The new Chef is cookin up some damn good Rib Eyes! If youre in the area check it out! Or, schedule a whole week!

My family and I had an amazing time here. We are a family of 6 and we all fit perfect. We will be returning when the snow comes.

Beautiful, friendly place in the cool pines near Payson, Arizona. Great cabins and a fantastic steakhouse with excellent food, a cozy patio, and live music. Can’t wait to go back!

Very nice cabins as well as very attentive owner. Not much to do in the immediately surrounding area as it may appear. The walk to the creek can only be done on the main highway--about a half mile away. No hiking trails either. The cabins are very close to each other. Not shown nor mentioned is a barbeque grill, a fire pit and picnic tables for community use. The restaurant is only open certain days. A cooking range and sink would be helpful. There is a small market not far away and a second restaurant, but again only open certain days. There is air conditioning downstairs, but it gets very hot upstairs in the summer.

We stayed here in June and the cabin was absolutely perfect! Very clean . Super easy to check in and out . Only like 15 min drive to Woods Canyon Lake or back to Payson .Will def be staying here again!Had a few people ask about it and gave them the info, hopefully they decided to stay here too

Weve been staying at these cabins for many years and have never been disappointed. Ingrid, the Mgr, is amazing! The cabins are everything we need and such a quick trip to get out of the Phx heat. Cabins are always clean and staff is awesome! Our favorite quick getaway spot!

Very easy check-in. Everyone we met with was extremely nice and welcoming. The setting, creekside along the Mogollon Rim, was beautiful. The RV was very comfortable! I had never glamped in an RV before and it was a lot of fun. I would definitely do it again. Having the restaurant onsite was also very convenient. The ribeyes were tasty and the wine very affordable.

The site was well maintained and clean. The cabin was beautiful and had everything we needed. The only thing I would recommend would be to fix the door knobs, they were loose and looking like they were about to fall out.

My little family of 5 and pup stayed June 2020 at enchanted forest. We loved it and will be back for future family trips. Tavern was closed due to smoke from the bush fire but Payson was close by so wasnt a problem at all. The cabin was clean and felt so homey.

We sat outside on the patio, the view was beautiful and the food was yummy! Nicky our server was friendly and attentive. I will definitely be back!

This was our first time staying here and it was fantastic! James is so personable and fun and really cares about making this the best spot along the creek. Ingrid is fantastic and cares so much about your comfort and well-being. The cabins were just perfect and I had the BEST night sleep. It’s a great spot if your looking for some adventure and fun along the creek. We are right at the steak house- great food and drinks!

Clean, comfortable, quiet, near good food and adult beverages. Breezy and peaceful in the pines. Dog friendly and surprisingly all dogs were quiet, including mine.

We’ve been here twice now and will be making it a point to try to get up here more often. My kids absolutely love the cabin, they’ve been talking about it since we got home and are already asking to plan our next trip. Being able to sit on the porch, explore, and roast s’mores (at night) is something we don’t get to do much in the city. Plus it’s walking distance to the creek and they even have a small little market in case you forgot anything. Both Ingrid and the new owner are super accommodating, friendly, and helpful. Can’t wait for our next trip! Can’t wait to see what the future holds. Keep up the AMAZING work!

The idea of a cabin in the pines getaway sounds amazing.We stayed in the Cowboy cabin. Stayed Sun - Wed.To our surprise the restaurant closed at 4 pm instead of at 5 pm as stated on information given in cabin.We were very disappointed because we had planned to arrive early enough on Sunday to be able to enjoy a dinner at their restaurant.Then on Monday we discovered that the restaurant was closed Monday & Tuesdays. This was never mentioned when making the reservation.

Other than the smoke from the Bush fire, we had a great stay. Ingrid was a sensational host, and treated us with only the best. The weather was perfect, the cabin was clean and comfortable. Out two grandaughters had an amaising time wading in the water at Sardine point, and swimming at Black Canyon Lake. We were there almost an entire week, and it was still tough to leave. Thank you for a great time!

We recently booked a few of the cabins and stayed a weekend with some friends. The cabins are rustic but clean and cozy. The kitchens and bathrooms were spotless and the bed I slept on was more comfortable than my own at home. We met the new owners who talked to us about the improvements they have planned. The kitchen at the restaurant wasnt yet fully functional but they had plans to bring everything online within 2-3 weeks time. Libations were delicious, the company was great (incl. other campers and locals alike), the firepit was a fun gathering place, horseshoes to come... We had a blast in the cool pines. Give it a try!

I was looking for a way to spend time in Tonto Forest with my wife and came across Creekside Cabins this past August. From the moment we arrived, I knew that I found exactly what I was hoping for. I wanted something that gave me the feeling of a unique and solitary outdoor experience, but my wife was not into tent camping. Creekside was the perfect solution for both of us. We hiked a lot and I was able to fish for trout, while she read her book. We both canoed and watched an eagle (or big hawk) literally grab a fish out of the water about 100 yards from us. The cabins were clean and comfortable. We had a delightful dinner at the steakhouse-tavern. Im thinking about going during the winter with my buddies and doing some cross-country skiing in the area and using this as our home base. A very special place.

This was our first visit to Cabins at Creekside. We had such a great experience that we reserved the same Cabin in July. The Cabins at Creekside are affordable, clean and offer great amenities for the area. The owners/operators are very helpful and friendly.

What a hidden gem! I just returned from a weekend stay at the new Cabins at Creekside with my family and already cant wait to return! While the cabins arent really new, we met the new owners and got to hear about their plans to update the cabins and steakhouse. Its already a great spot for a getaway, but with their vision and excitement, I know its going to get even better! The cabins are cozy, beds are comfortable, everything is clean and we absolutely loved sitting on the rocking chairs on the porch during the day and around the fire at night. This is a great little spot for a family getaway in the forest!

We stayed in Cabin #3 this past weekend (the Bears Den) and it was phenomenal. The cabin was really spacious (including a nice loft), extremely clean, and very charming. The food was great and the service was terrific. We arrived earlier than expected and were allowed to drop off our luggage in the cabin while it was being cleaned (very accommodating staff - thank you Ingrid). We especially loved hanging out around the fire pit during the evening! We cant wait to go back. This cabins are extremely close to Woods Canyon lake, Mogollon Rim and Payson and serve as a perfect getaway destination!!!

After inspection of the bed, there was a ton of someone elses hair in the sheets, an the restaurant took about 50 minutes for our meal. Not much to do in the area but go for walks . The up stair area my kid was to scared to sleep in was kinda creepy, ha but did enjoy the stay was a cat catch a mouse while we was leaving by our cabinWouldnt mind staying again, but will bring my own sheets .

Our stay was just as the UNIVERSE suggested for my wife and I. We instantly felt away if you know what I mean. We loved our stay. We arrived late afternoon just as the tall trees were stretching shadows and a little breeze quickly reminded us we were not in 5 oclock traffic!We found our place to be very clean with everything we needed to make our get a way smooth.Richard and Cynthia

This place is great! They new chef makes carnitas tacos and homemade salsa and it’s amazing. My fiancé had a cheese pizza and the crust was perfect. The food is awesome, and the staff is even better. We stayed in one of the cabins with two other friends, and my dog, and we had plenty of space between us. The atmosphere is perfect for a family setting and there are plenty of hikes in the area to keep you entertained. Can’t wait to go back!

This is a great spot in the woods. Very friendly staff, and a GREAT hamburger. The woodwork in the cabins is really beautiful. This is a great value for getting away from the city.

If youre looking for a few days in nature with the comfort of cabins and the convenience of an onsite restaurant, this place is it. We had a great time during our recent stay with family and friends and will be back. The cabin was clean and comfy with a fireplace and loft area giving it that authentic feel I look for in a cabin. With the creek, rim, and lake nearby the location is great for enjoying the outdoors. The staff was very friendly and helpful across the board and they even provided several recommendations for activities in the area which we explored. The patio area is perfect for hanging out with a fire pit we took advantage of for making smores. We really enjoyed having the restaurant there, which had great food with a limited menu at the time and we are looking forward to trying the steaks next time!

My family was looking for a quick weekend escape and this was just the right place! Cozy cabins, nice facilities, and great service. It was a great value and look forward to visiting again.

Today i went in for an interview where i was introduced to the chef,owner,and manager.The interview went great,and i am excited to begin training. The resteraunt including kitchen was very clean and it was just a comfortable atmosphere. The cabins available to rent and property were so beautiful, I have already discussed renting one with my family. The lanscape is breathtaking and is definately worth experiancing.

The whole family loved staying at the cabins! Great way to escape the heat, get some fresh air and still keep social distancing! I highly recommend the steakhouse too!

Beautiful location. The people are kind. Peaceful getaway from the busy city. If your looking for peaceful experience in the mountains this is the place to go.

Quaint little cabins jammed together in a row, comfy enough though the bathtub was rather gross (opted to not take a shower) and there was a funny stain on the box springs below the mattress, but I wasnt expecting luxury afterall. Very near to some stunning hikes, which if thats why youre staying, remember: do not go by the hand drawn map they provide - the scale is way off - instead head to the general store and speak with the clerk or a park ranger, or buy a $6 trail guide sold at the counter.

I had stayed a couple nights here and loved it. The Cabin was clean and cozy. Gives you the feel of rustic camping with the comfort of home.They are in the middle of renovating the Cabins and property. Even with all of that the staff was super friendly. Especially Ingrid the property manager. Absolutely a joy to be around. She made sure we had everything we needed. Amazing how busy she was but always found time to accommodate us whenever we needed anything. She.was great with my 3 children and they adored her as well. She showed us this great lil trail near by that we hiked and loved.We also at the Creekside restraunt. The staff in there is amazingly friendly. Its clean and good food. It was definitely worth our stay. And we will definitly be back again !The cabins were so unique. Plenty of Space. ♡

Amazing experience. We had a great memorial weekend the cabins were very clean. Beds were super comfortable. No kitchen stove but you can you use your own electric grill or propane Grills. Lots of lights for night time gathering. Best vacation Ive had in years. And its only 10 miles from fishing lake.

The cabin was clean and safe, everything pretty much worked. The grounds were maintained and clean for a forest setting. No other loud/crazy guests at night, which was nice. What really topped it off was our wonderful Host, Ingrid (she just calls herself Property Manager but shes so much more than that!) Ingrid was extremely friendly, and beyond accommodating. She would check on us to see how we were doing, if we needed anything... and much to our surprise, they set up an Easter Egg Hunt event for all of the guests... a real treat for the kids! The whole experience was amazing, we will be back for sure, and recommend to all of our friends and family! A++

Dont stay in the large cabin with 2 kings & 6 twins. It is an old mobile home that had log siding added, not an original cabin!! Appliances are old and not in good repair. It had an ant infestation in the wall above one top bunk bed. And, one child came home with bites after sleeping in a bunk bed iin the room with 4 bunks. Upon returning home, the doctor diagnosed it as bed bugs!We are editing this to respond to owners stating that they had no one with our name nor a cabin like we stayed in. We have our credit card receipt and video of the ants streaming out of the wall. We have receipt of doctor s diagnosis.

Great cabin to stay for hunting in the area or just for a getaway. Loft and fireplace are nice additions, and the steak house next door. The lady who was running the place was helping us figure out another unit to stay in when we needed to extend our stay another day. Will be glad to stay here again this year.

I used to like this place but they recently doubled the price of their rentals. Not worth paying more for a cabin thats across the street from a place that is actually creekside. I would have rented from them again had they not doubled the price.
