Pretty good experience! My partner and I did the green screen one, and it was their “easy one” even though the completion rate was less then 75% lol. We didn’t make it all the way through but it was still fun! Make sure you really look at each clue and items very closely. The answers are right there but not too obvious lol. The workers do help you a lot, but if you and your crew don’t want that help let them know from the beginning. I advice you to bring At least 4 people if you really want to get through everything!

Loved the experience! Trey was very informative and friendly on the phone. He sold me on the Vault Room for my friends birthday. Heather allowed us to show up a little late to our appointment and was super funny. Our helper was also the guy who plays the butcher in another room (I cant remember his name) and he was so good at making everything believable. The Vault Room was a little too advanced for us, but we still had a lot of fun!

Had my first escape room experience here and it was good. Staff was great. Clues were fun to solve for and it was great as a team activity. Room setup was done well by the staff. Some people like me may find the mill neighborhood a bit spooky one but escape room itself is good.

Every room has a unique, fun storyline and different puzzles that flow smoothly throughout - my husband and I loved all of them! The owner is so passionate about escape rooms and we love this place. You won’t be disappointed, don’t miss out!

We escaped! We got the escape room Groupon as a Christmas present and there were eight of us who participated. It definitely made you think and we enjoyed the experience. My only negative comment would be that one of the employees stayed in the room with us and helped us escape the room with help that we didnt ask for. We were hoping to get out unassisted at the end. Otherwise I would recommend this escape room.

Weve been to multiple rooms in multiple states. This was by far the BEST experience. We liked the fact that it was interactive with the host instead of a computer screen giving hints. Jason was very suited to his role in Sauls Room- I think our hearts have resumed their normal rhythm....The complex story woven into the room made it more challenging (obviously) but more engaging. The entire staff was welcoming. I wish we lived closer so our group could try the rest of the rooms. HIGHLY recommend!

My wife and I have done 3 out of the 6 rooms here (vault, inheritance, and the sorcerers curse), as the green room was likely a bit too easy (more for beginners), the zany zoo was for kids and the cellar II is scary and my wife isnt a huge fan of scares. What we love about this place is how immersive and engaging each of these rooms feel based on their story. We both jointly agree that the flow of each of the rooms is well done, so that the more rooms you have done, the less clues (if any) you need to complete them (There are a surprising number of rooms out there that use confusion of what is next to slow you down rather than slightly more complex puzzles). Every game master we had here played a character and definitely added to the feel of the game and seemed to enjoy being part of our journey. The owner is a cool passionate guy who loves what he does and several times they talked with us about escape rooms in general because they love them so much. Definitely loved this place and cant wait until they add the new rooms.I am hoping I can convince my wife to do the cellar II because I am told its their best room.

Heather and Nick are the best! We celebrated my daughters 14th birthday here and we had so much fun trying to get through the Green room. I highly recommend Lock and Clue and will be bringing the family back for another room soon!

Very highly recommended whether youre an experienced escape room player or just trying it out. The price here is higher than some others in the area but the amount of effort the staff puts into the the experience and the quality of the rooms makes it well worth the money. My wife and I have done two rooms here with a group of our friends. The Inheritance and The Vault. Both were very well done and the staff clearly puts a lot of work into making the experience smooth and work toward a them and story.

The woman kept coming in like every 5 minutes. It was so clear she was rushing for us to get done on time. Half the time, we were almost figuring it out, then she would come in and just give us the answer. Kind of ruined the experience of solving the puzzles on our own. Would have much prefered her to leave us to do it, then just explained at the end what we hadnt solved yet.Another escape room i did had a phone that allowed for 3 hints, and you could call them in as needed. Another one i did scheduled appts further apart to allow for a 15 min of extra time in case a group ran a bit over. I found those to be much less intrusive ways of dealing with a group that is a behind schedule.

These are our absolute favorite escape rooms! The puzzles are extremely well thought out and match the theme of each room perfectly, and each room is wonderfully detailed (think movie-set like detail). On top of the awesome rooms, the staff could not be friendlier and really get you into the themes. We recently had friends visiting and after finishing some more basic rooms near Boston, decided to make the drive to Rhode Island to visit escape rooms that we knew would exceed our expectations. We 100% recommend Lock & Clue for both beginners and more experienced players (the success ratings are very accurate!).

I was skeptical coming to this at first thinking it was going to be cheesy and lame, but these guys do an awesome job! They make it challenging, yet fun and really work hard to make the environment feel real. I highly recommend this for your next group outing or team building event. Try Saul’s Cellar if you want a real challenge!!!

Fun experience. Our host Trey, was great. One hour does by! The green room was pretty challenging (we didnt solve), I cant imagine how people complete the harder levels. Apparently they also have a kids room for ages 7-12. It is not clear where to park, we got lucky and found a spot on the street.

Highly recommended, I really love the fact that you can do the rooms with just your group,We had a great time,we did the cellar,it was so fun and challenging, even though we didnt solve it in the time allowed, the host went through everything and showed us the end result,we will definitely be back,one of the funnest quickest hours we have spent as a family.

My family and I have enjoyed 2 of the escape rooms at Lock and Clue. We had an amazing time during both experiences. We are fairly new to the game and it is challenging, but how much fun would it be if it was too easy?!? The staff is very friendly and professional. I would recommend this place to anyone starting off to the most experienced players! I can’t wait to try another room.

We stopped down last minute without a reservation. They had actually closed a little early because of a slow night and were about to lock the door. They graciously told us they would open back up and set up the Vault room for us. My wife and I have done 4 escape rooms before and it was my brother and sister-in-laws first. This was by far the best game room to date. The puzzles were challenging and the reward for figuring one out was well worth the challenge. We might not live local but have relatives that are and will be passing along our recommendations to them.

Had a great time solving the Green Room with a bunch of friends who had never done an escape room before. I found that the room was really good size for 6 people and found it challenging but fun. The staff was great and we have already made reservations to do a different room. Highly recommend this place

We had my 8 yr olds Birthday party here and it was amazing. The staff was extremely helpful and patient. One of our guest was running late and they were very patient and even waited to start the game. The party room is large and they are not breathing down your back, they just let you enjoy your party and company. Everyone had a great time. My 9 yr old is already planning on having his next party here also.

The atmosphere and thoughtfulness was exceptional! We all had an amazing time and cant wait to go back to try our another room.

We did the Green Room right after Thanksgiving with our teenage children and had so much fun we came back two weeks later to try the Vault. Both times were so awesome, just enough challenge to be fun, but not so impossible that we couldnt solve it. The staff are always very nice, highly recommend it for a fun family activity.

The room that we did was intense and interactive, with the guide/overseer/room designer playing a scary villain who would give hints while taunting us. The puzzle designs were tough but completely doable. Didnt quite make it in time, but the room designer was very cool and talked to us about the room after time was up.

We did the Vault escape room for my Dads 60th birthday and had a great time! They were accommodating for us being a little late as well which was a nice bonus. Would definitely come back again! The proximity to Providence and all the restaurants there means its easy to make a day of it.

We had a great time in the Green Room. The staff and interaction throughout the escape are perfect. The room we were in was challenging almost to the point of frustration which is exactly what you want from an escape room! Highly recommend with family or friends. We were a group ages ranging from 76-22 and everyone had a blast.

Great rooms! We have done almost all of them. Every room/story is unique. Love how the puzzles and clues follow the story and arent random. The best fun activity to do with a group of friends or family.

Very cool experience. This was my first escape room and it was very well done. One of the tasks that had to be solved was non-sensical and we wouldnt have been able to figure it out without the strong hint given to us (twice!). Very clean, professional, easy parking, etc. We are going back!

This place was so fun! Very challenging and required team work to solve the case. We had such a blast. Some of our clues were faulty, but the staff was great about pausing our time to come in and fix it. Definitely would recommend - would love to go again!

My family of 5 went and we successfully escaped the green room. It was all of us, our first time doing an escape room and this was a great first experience. The staff was helpful to keep us moving along, but not too helpful, which was a good thing. They gave extra clues when we were missing them, but not too many. You really need to read the clues and figure out what each and every word on the clues mean. If you actually did that, you might need no hints from the staff.

We did the Sorcerers curse for my friends birthday and we had an amazing time. We literally could not stop talking about how much fun we had once we left. This was our 5th Escape Room, but first time at Lock and Clue, and this place is definitely at the top. Fully immersive, great decor, aesthetic, and atmosphere. The puzzles were challenging, interesting clues, and a lot of cool technology. Apparently this is one of the most difficult rooms. Another thing that was cool was that it wasnt just one room we had to escape. The multiple rooms made it way more fun and moved things a long and made us more and more excited as we made progress. We cant wait to try another one here at Lock and Clue. Thanks!

One of the best (if not the best) escape room companies Ive done rooms with. I have done all the rooms that are currently at lock and clue and I can say that each room is unique, challenging and fun. With some other companies if youve done one room, you will be better off with the rest because of repeating clue types, and that is not the case at lock and clue. Each rooms theme is well done. We escaped each room except for The Cellar, and we still thoroughly enjoyed the cellar (It was the first we did, and we came back 4 more times!).The staff was always friendly and fun. We had the same game master for 2 or 3 of our games, and he was great at acting differently for each different room, and didnt break character until it was all done.If you are new to escape rooms, go ahead and start with the green room and work your way up, but if you are experienced and want a real challenge, the Cellar and the Sorcerers Curse are bound to get even veteran escapers awed at the style of clues and puzzles to solve! I cant wait for their new room to be ready so we can return!

This was my first escape room experience and I can say that Ill be back for more. The staff was very helpful and were genuinely interested in making the experience great. We went with the green room since it was rated as a beginner/intermediate room. Our team of 4 managed to escape with over 15 minutes to spare. They did offer a couple of hints and helped us with a lock that was being difficult even though we had the correct code. It was fun and did require everyone to work together. I cant wait to try the harder rooms.

Fanrastic!! I brought 6 14 year old boys to Lock and ClueThe staff was wonderful the atmosphere is awesome. The level of complexity in our room was challenging, fun, and exciting. Our facilitator was wonderful with the boys and helped them just enough to complete tasks. The detail of The Vault room was fantastic. I cant reccomend this place enough. And having the room alone for your group is a much better experience than working with strangers. We will be back!!

We had a great time doing the Vault escape room with 5 people. It was a fun linear puzzle to solve - well designed and organized and got our adrenaline pumping!

Inheritance was the best escape room we’ve ever done! The design was incredible felt like we were really in the story. Lots of clever puzzles and even surprises! The only downside is we can’t do it again!

I have never written a review on anything before but this place blew me away so I had to. When I was checking this place out I thought it was odd that the worst review was 4 stars. Now that I did The Cellar I get it. My experience wasnt just good or great it was pretty much perfect!I was drawn in by the fact that they do privet booking but since there site doesn’t show pictures of the actual rooms I wondered if this was to make up for below average decor. I couldnt have been more wrong! The Cellar was one of the most immersive rooms I have ever done. It was challenging without hurting the flow and the hint system never broke the feel of the room which I find to be rare.The staff was great too! The lady who checked us in got the GM to incorporate an inside joke into one of our hints which was a hilarious moment! I could say more but I know I dont always read long reviews myself so I will leave it at that.

Took the kids for a rainy day adventure and it did not disappoint! We had such a blast! The staff makes the experience so fun. I will definitely go again and try the different rooms!

I was blown away! Ive been to a lot of escape rooms, but this place is the first Ive really wanted to spread the word about. The way theyve integrated the staff into the rooms is flawless, Ive never had an experience like it before! Our Saul was incredible, shout out to Justin for bringing him to life!

I wanted to do an escape room for my birthday and was a bit nervous to do an advanced one for my first time but since I’m all into detective shows and crime movies I was excited. We got there and the staff was so friendly and super clean. We did the Cellar and the actor was amazing very convincing. I was kind of creeped out which was a good thing and even though we didn’t make it out alive hehe. I CANT stop talking about it and how I want to do all of their puzzles. You must try I promise you, you can’t go wrong with this place. Thank you Lock and Clue for spicing up my birthday!!

My friend and I have done many escape rooms in many different states (and countries!) and Lock and Clue is hands down the favorite of both of us! The staff is super friendly, and the rooms are amazing. They have wonderful theming and puzzles and are great for pretty much any skill level. Weve done every room they have (we even got Tre to run the Zany Zoo kids room for us)

My friend and I did the Sorcerers Curse at Lock and Clue. This is a high quality room with excellent pacing and puzzle variety. The audio/visual was top notch. The room operators and owner were very friendly from the moment we walked in. Dont miss this room.

This was a great birthday party experience!! Everybody was included, and it kept everybodys mind working. The people there couldnt have been nicer. We did the vault so it was a bit too complicated for 13 year olds maybe an easier one would have been a better choice but the kids have been talking about it all week!

We did the Sorcerers Curse room tonight and were very impressed with the detail in the multiple rooms and how well it made you feel in the scenario. I highly recommend Lock & Clue. We have subsequently done two other rooms there and continue to be impressed by the attention to detail.

We all had a great time. The escape room, and the experience was so much more immersive than I thought it was going to be. In addition, they helped you out when you got a little bit stuck so you didnt end up getting frustrated. Overall it was a great experience and we will definitely be back.

The experience for the Zany Zoo package was fine, but the time for the entire party was a bit shorter than we would have liked, as the food arrival was late (not Lock and Clue fault), but 2 hours for the whole party wasnt enough, 2.5-3hours would be better....
