Fantastic place to be outdoors, and practice in peace. Theres plenty of lanes to shoot. Trees for shade if needed. Its fairly accessible. Its a beautiful area to simply be in. It is crucial to visit the Roving Archers website.

Great instructors. Learned archery here with my daughter. After 2 years We are still hooked. Everywhere we go and participate in archery people are impressed with our skills and safety. Once we let them know where we learned, everyone basically says the same thing, “Well, you learned from the best.” Thank you Roving Archers!

What a magical place! This amazing archery range is situated in the lower arroyo of Pasadena which is a beautiful setting for one of the oldest Field archery ranges in the world!! The classes offered on Saturdays are provided at little to no cost by a dedicated group of volunteers who freely give of their time & knowledge to teach the age old art of archery to people of all ages & walks of life! On Sundays this same group of archers host a wide variety of weekly archery tournaments, which are also open to the public, to test their archery skill & introduce new archers to the many types of competition popular throughout the archery community! If youve ever wanted to try archery, there is no better place!

This was an amazing experience. My parents had not let me try archery because they thought it was dangerous but they agreed to let me try and it was amazing! It was great for beginners like me.

Great outdoor Archery Range with plenty of targets to take advantage of. It is free to shoot, however, after the passing of a recent Pasadena city ordinance, Archers are required to take a short safety/knowledge class for $20 which gives you a certification card allowing unlimited access to the range, sunup to sundown, barring any classes. Check their website for more information.

The service offered is amazing and it is a great place for beginners and advanced alike. The first time is free and the second time you need to bring a five dollar donation which is absurdly low for all they offer. My personal recommendation for those dates on a budget and like to be outdoors.

Visited the Roving Archers Range for my first archery shooting in Pasadena and was very impressed. The members were quite helpful and not obtrusive, arrogant or demanding. The range is about the perfect mix of open wild space, woodlands and adequately managed shooting areas, with a well seasoned feel. The stories of vast crowds of first timers lined up for lessons on Saturdays was intimidating though, so plan ahead. Weekdays are not crowded and friendly.BH

The Pasadena Roving Archery Range is a wonderful place to safely practice the Great Art of Archery. It has been nestled in the South Arroyo just south of the Colorado St Bridge since 1935. The scenery is beautiful the archers are friendly and always welcoming to new archers as well as veterans of the form.

I am from sam diego, this is a very lovely range(it looked like a free range....i didnt see anywhere for donations). Lots of trees for shading (we came to visit on a day that was 82, it did not feel like 82). it appeared that the archers stayed on one bail instead of shooting the whole trail, this range is dog friendly. I am excited to participate in their next 3D!

I believe that this range and this club are the finest in California. The generous members are always ready to teach and genuinely eager to help and advise both veteran and novice archers.
