So, Im on the fence of letting people know about places that are great. I dont like crowded areas but would also like other people to know about some nice places in an unbiased review. I would think this is a hidden gem of an Arkansas state park. The park overall is very nice. It has two lakes with one for fishing and boat rental. The other has a swimming area with a killer pavilion overlooking the lake. This lake also has a very nice walking area around the lake that is wheelchair friendly. There are some hiking trails with one having a swinging bridge. Camping is rather small with just a few tent only sites. Trailer sites are nice but some are very close to each other so look at that before booking. One other thing, the roads are narrow so you might actually think you going down a one way road when you are not. This may be a park to look into for a family trip.

Crowleys Ridge State Park, is a beautiful scenery place to visit for sightseeing and also a great place for hiking as well. I usually go here almost every other week just to hike and do photography. Ive attached some of the pictures Ive captured while visiting this park.

First time to Crowley Ridge. We reserved the only pull thru site, short stay with a 31 ft motorhome pulling a car. The turn around at the end is small. Had to disconnect car and dolly to make the 180. Thankful all sites at the end were not full, so I could back in to complete the turn. On a plus side, nice trail system. Now we know what to expect and be better prepared for another stopover.

Since the pandemic began weve been thinking of ways to keep socially distancing while still having a fun vacation. Since we own an RV, we decided to try & visit all 52 Arkansas state parks. This was park #1 for us and its a hidden gem! Northwest Arkansas gets all the attention and its admittedly gorgeous, but this state park proves that its not the only beautiful area of the state. This park is well managed, with several trails that are great for day hikes. We did Spider Creek, Dancing Rabbit, and the Lake trail. The latter is perfect for an easy stroll, as it is a very accessible walk around Lake Ponder. The campgrounds were clean, litter free, & full of other friendly RV campers. Since we had reservations on the website, after-hours check in was easy; just drive to the site & the next morning, go back to the visitor center & finalize the check in. Its not too far from Paragould, AR, which is a nice little town with a ton of local restaurants. The visitor center wasnt open early in the pandemic, so were going back sometime soon to get our state park passport stamped and see if they have a handkerchief printed with the trails map! Highly recommend for any RV campers out there!

Great little park with plenty of amenities. About 20 minutes from Jonesboro and less than two hours from Memphis, so perfect for a weekend getaway. Not many hiking trails in the park, but it was tranquil, well-maintained, and I would visit again.

Beautiful state park. Friendly staff and interactive exhibits. Definitely a nice place to bring children, go on a date or just walk around and enjoy the flowers, nature and bugs. (Bring bug spray for sure, but keep it natural so you dont disturb the ecosystem too much)

This is such a great place to go. Bummed cause the swimming is only open wednesday-Saturday. But sooo beautiful. A walking stick is suggested for the dancing rabbit trail! And they have some great ones in the gift shop.

It was quiet and cabin was nice except the cabin was infested with mosquitoes and ate us up while sleeping. There are only 2 boats to rent and you cant reserve them the day before to insure you get one. Its very small but nice.

Love this park!! Staff is always amazing, friendly, and helpful. Park is always clean including well maintained grills and fire pits, and super clean bathrooms. The only drawbacks to this park is there is only 1 handicapped site, theres no place in the handicapped shower thats dry to sit and get dressed so you have to dress in your wheelchair which isnt ideal, and theres way too much non camper traffic, people drive by all day long disturbing campers, and makes you feel like your site is next to a busy road defeating the peace n quite your seeking, if the staff would make the road closed to non campers the visit would be immensely better. Other than that, great job guys!!

Great state park! We love to go for walks around the lake, the park, and on the trails. We take our kids and dogs, its a great place for a family outing. We do picnics sometimes too. Our church has a big cookout here every year. Ive been coming here since I was a kid. I love everything about this park. Its definitely one of the best in the whole state.
