Okay. New review.... fire new at least. Our server slash owner James was informative and engaging., the appetizers like the burnt ends brisket and muscles in butter sauce. Was so delicious. They have live music every night. We were treated to two saxapnone players. One who plays for the Michael Bolton band And the other one plays with Bruno Mars. Wow great music. Cant easier to come back.

Second time and still stunning. Super tasty oysters, mackerel was superb, stonebass amazing and Dorset crab just Wow! Plan to go back soon.

My friend and I had a terrible experience tonight. First, my friends French Onion soup came out way shallow, basically no broth, so we had to ask them to correct that. Then my pasta came out with noodles that were beyond al dente, they were raw in the middle, a bunch of the noodles were clumped together and hard in the middle. I had to send that dish back plus I was concerned for my friend because her scallops smelled very fishy; indicative they were not fresh. I was afraid to order anything else because everything up to this point was botched so I asked for a coffee. The cream they provided curdled as soon as I poured it in. Needless to say, Im never coming back here.

Spent two evenings here while in Palm Springs. The music was awesome and the wait staff very kind and attentive. Enjoyed our dinner; arugula salad with chicken and my husband enjoyed his burger. Generous drinks and reasonable prices. Motown Mondays and R&B Saturday are the nights to come!

A let down. Gave 2 stars because of service, otherwise it would have been 1 star...I was craving some steakhouse burgers, so I ordered here. The blue burger and jalapeño burger were a complete let down, fast food joints have better burgers. Then I got a kids chicken nuggets meal. The nuggets seemed to be good and real BUT had no seasoning, like no salt either. Man what a disappointment for a $46 meal. Maybe it just wasnt a good night for the kitchen.

Ive driven by this place countless times but never checked it out until now. Very comfy vibe with friendly staff. I had the Prime Rib which was good. They have live entertainment and bar separated from the dining. Id definitely come again to try more of the menu. Four Stars here!

After reading several reviews, as locals we gave it a shot on Thursday night during street fair. The entertainment was nice yet kind of unnoticed. The service was possibly one star, despite the Owner or manager really trying to help. Thanks but too late. Drinks came out wrong and slow ...on a slow night. Food was average. I have a picture of the fish but its burned on the bottom. For me this place is probably good if everything else is full and you need food. Sweet potato fries were the best thing on menu. Chicken was dry and ... Anyway lots of options here in PS. Not this one though. Sorry Woodys.

Just a beautiful place to celebrate my husband Birthday in the desert during the first week opening during the covid with restrictions. Other than that this place is fun, the music was good. The owner/bar tender very professional and attentive. Had some drinks with my birthday honey, just a wonderful cozy place.The food was made with true love and perfection. Try the dates wrapped in bacon, YUMMY! Im still dreaming of that dish. My husband is still talking about the onion soup amazing. DELICIOUS! Thank you so much God Bless you. ️LIMS

BBQ ribs are the best thing on the menu. They fall off the bone and you can eat with fork and knife. If you decide to share a dish, they will charge you extra $5, but you get a lot of food. The local live music is very good. Place clears out by 8:30 or 9. Reservations arent needed, but may get you a better table. Best to make reservation for 6 pm. Also good deals can be found during happy hour.

I ordered the Rib Eye with Baked Potato. 1st time in my life I have sent a steak back. So very disappointed. I don’t know what was wrong but it had NO FLAVOR except for the taste of charred fat. I had ordered it medium so I wouldn’t have expected it to have a burned taste. The baked potato was not well done and was not even warm enough to melt the frozen butter. The waitress was very nice and I asked to see the menu to chose something else. I ordered the baby back ribs and I could eat them though I don’t think I would order again. Hopefully they were just having an off night. I chose Woody’s because I was wanting to listen to live music. It was just OK but not what I was hoping for. I wouldn’t go listen to them again.

Cool little jazz club, steakhouse/seafood/burger joint mashup menu, nice bar, cool staff. Wonderful entertainment! This place is an essential part of the local jazz and lounge scene.Wish the stage was higher and bigger. Would prefer of the bar was open on both sides or against an exterior wall, kind of divides the space and hides the stage from half the room. Should open the doors to the patio when the weather is nice instead of piping the board sound to cheap outdoor speakers.

A fun place (was there on a Monday night when they have Motown Monday). Entertainment was excellent. Food was so-so and kind of expensive. Went with a large group and very few were thrilled with what we ordered

Great food and atmosphere. I highly suggest coming in on a Friday night for the live jazz band. Great for a date night or meeting up with a group of friends for dinner/drinks.

Service was good. The beef brisket was dry - but the beans ( that were great!) Had juice. Coleslaw was also great.

Outstanding music the night we were there. Frank DiSalvo played Jazz with Shelly Yoelin band. I had the best burger there to eat. Best I had had in years super high quality beef cooked just right. Super fun night with friends and the energy was certainly up that night.

I loved Woodys! Went on Motown Monday December 30th and just really enjoyed the music and food. Great place for dancing and having fun!

Killer atmosphere. Awesome live music and a pretty good burger for sure. They are also open until 2 am.

Food was meh... not sure how it can happen but even my french onion soup was burnt. Pricier than expected based on the quality of food we had.

Nice little neighborhood restaurant/ bar. Food was good and reasonably priced by Palm Springs standards. I had the portabello sandwich (actually about 6 sliced mushrooms, not a big portabello) with good sweet potato fries. Wife had a yummy patty melt and onion rings. Service was attentive. One complaint is that Google lists this as a good place for craft beer. It is not. 3 beers (Goose Island, Fat Tire, and Shocktop) on tap and your standard lineup of flavorless malt beverages in bottle.

Wow... Service is NOT good. Burgers... I didnt like em much. Mens bathroom has horrible sewer gas. I guess, for me, bad experience. OHHH yeah... They also messed up our order. However... Their menu is great, so maybe I would change my mind.

Nice live jazz, Motown band for dinner. Good for family dining. I had the salmon and asparagus, it was excellent. Also they make a mean lemon drop. Not the best beer selection, but food was delicious. Our server Dominique, was AWESOME with the kids. thanks.

We had a great time at Woodys. We went there on a friends recommendation so now Im passing this info on to you! Go there for great food and music... Jazz at that. The serving staff are the best and the atmosphere was relaxed with good acoustics so you could enjoy the live music but also be able to carry on a conversation.

First time here...and last. Not crowded in the bar, however, the bartender was far more interested in the patrons sitting g at the bar than those sitting in the bar area. Took a while to get an order for appetizers placed...appetizers were good. Again, took a while to get a dinner order placed and a while to get it served. Vegetables and chicken skewers arrived...cold! They were returned to the kitchen and re-heated. Vegetables were tolerable but...when you nuke chicken..it dries out and is tough to eat. My friend ordered the pork chop....very tough and he had to request a steak knife to cut it. Overall...disappointing. I can’t in good conscience recommend Woodys to tourists visiting Palm Springs

We forgot how great Woodys is. The entertainment, food and service was great. It should be a cant miss spot especialy for our snow bord population.

My first time here.. on Motown Monday. Great music, reasonably priced strong drinks, delicious food (although a bit heavy on the butter or oil on the rissoto).. friendly and efficient staff. This will definitely be a place I return to often.Editing after visiting a week later. My dinner choice tonight was Roasted BBQ Chicken. Not good.. rubbery. BBQ beans too saucy. Coleslaw too much mayonaise. But still a fun Motown Monday!

Absolutely amazing. Had the pleasure of meeting the owner and enjoying some excellent love entertainment. In my top.three of places to dine in Palm Springs.

Wife ordered ny striploin and asked for medium rare steak came out slightly above rare. Still edible and good. Suspect cooked at too high of temperature. The peppercorn sauce for the steak was not exactly tasty.I ordered prime rib. Was told it came medium rare. It came out and it must ha e been an outside cut but it was mostly well done and mashed potatoes were cold. Returned immediately wi th out question from server. New meal came out with less mashed potatoes but they were warm and the steak was closer to medium rare. Ive had better prime rib but this was OK.Service overall was good.

We were a large group so it took more time to service and I thought it was exceptionally long waiting for our food. My dinner was cold when I got it. The music was great and the ambience. The company was great.

Friday night 6 people walk into great music by class act. Waited a few minutes to be seated, not bad. Waitress came for drinks, brought water but NO DRINKS. Seated with menus, waited 30 minutes for waitress. Prompted bartender to find waitress. Nice young woman took our order, 3 split meals. 30 minutes later, still no food. 10 minutes later, cold food cold coffee, and NO SPLIT PLATES. Must have been a bad night for the staff. Music was great, customer service was disappointing to say the least. Hot coffee delivered by male manager, who offered to comp the coffee.

We had a great time watching all the customers having fun. The first set was very loud, but the second was nice and did not assault our ears. Highly recommend Woodys.

Maybe its just in a weird transition phase but its half diner (big ketchup and mustard bottles, metal napkin holders, old menus) have formal (room candlelit environment and live music). Thats kinda odd. Their house honey blonde beer was excellent. The burgers were underwhelming. I had some of the blue cheese burger and the mushroom burger. Blue cheese flavor was too overwhelming, and the mushroom burger was mild.. I actually enjoyed eating them together to balance out the flavor. The beer battered fries are pretty great!

Good entertainment after 6 and good food.

There was a mis-understanding about seating (on OUR part!) and we were less than understanding, at first. Owner, Woody came over and visited with us and made everything A-OK! We will be regular customers!

Three stars only for the entertainment. Went here with a group of 8 for a dinner celebration. It took the waitress some time to come over after we were seated to take our drink orders, but eventually did. We ordered some apps to start out. Ordered the muscles, mini corn dogs, burnt ends, and deep fried mac and cheese balls. Burnt ends were decent, the muscles were tasty but the mini corn dogs were cold in the middle and the mac and cheese balls tasted like something out of the freezer section at your local grocery store.For entrees ordered everything from the lamb, salmon, brisket, sliders, and a rib eye steak. Lamb and brisket I was told from our party was okay. My medium rare steak was slightly overcooked but very bland and dry. The Cabernet sauce it was served with was served in a plastic dipping cup and was as thick as jelly. The baked potato was fine, but the veggies were under cooked. The medium cooked sliders (all three) were well done and lacked good seasoning. The plating of the salmon was a bit peculiar (it resembled something like a salmon spider), one of two salmons that were ordered was overcooked and burnt, and the risotto was very watery.I understand that some days cooks can be off their game and nothing can be perfect all of the time. But the majority of our meal from start to finish was not good. I am not trying to rip on the place, just sharing our experience and opinion of the food. The entertainment and ambiance were great, but as there are so many great places to eat in the area and unfortunately this is not one of them.

Well now! Nice job, guys. Welcomed by our server, and everybody was attentive. We came there to hear the music, so we werent that focused on the food. That changed! Knockout salad with strawberries and dates, dressed with a really good balsamic vinaigrette. Slider variety plate was a good idea. Had turkey, beef/ mushroom, and Portobello. All were juicy and flavorful.Oh yes, the music. Yve Evans is a lot of fun. Listen closely to her phrasing and her sly humor!

Absolutely fantastic & highly, highly recommend! I was visiting PSP for my first time and was recommended to eat at Woodys, as my first dining experience - & Im sure glad I did. James, my server, was very efficient, friendly, courteous, professional - and having fun while serving me (and lots of others too!) I was greeted by a lovely and really great couple, who I believe are part of the management team. They both took exceptional, personal care of me as I had just wandered in there, right before that Monday nights busy live entertainment of Mo-Town. The was also my first time hearing this kind of music, and to hear it live was the highlight of my night - listening and dancing too, all of it! So much fun, recommend to all!!! Thank you everyone at Woodys for this incredible experience!

We had a great time. Excellent food its absolutely delicious and the band was outstanding. We were there for buddys 50th celebration. The kids had a blast dancing.

Food was good. They needed more wait staff though. We waited a long time for drinks and food. Great entertainment which was the main reason we went there.

My first visit and my birthday dinner it was 540 and the waitress refused to allow us to sit in dining room.We were seated outside in the sun. Waiter very friendly but horrible on service. Our order was totally screwed up! Not 1 order was right. Sliders were dry, not what made correctly,had to wait for new burgers by then we were done. Then they moved a table directly in doorway. Not the best experience!

What a lovely night on Motown Mondays. The band was great and wonderful vibe, the food was awesome! I had a steak salad they custom made for me. My server was sweet, kind and knew the menu. Loved her! My only complaint is I wish the band stayed later! Haha

The food here is amazing. We live over an hour away and we still drive down for date night to eat here. If you havnt tried the pork chop you are missing out!! The live music makes the atmosphere enjoyable and fun as well.

VERY NICE PLACE!!!I got there at a later Hour on Sunday Night...People were still there both inside AND on the outer patio...Wait Staff was attentive and very pleasant. Manager James was AWESOME!!! Just echoing the other reviews. But, happy hour was excellent expecially the muscles. The sauce was so amazing I had to order a second one.

We were really disappointed. We were told by Woodys staff that they had a good Portobello Mushroom sandwich and that they had a good selection of craft beer. When we arrived, the music was so loud that the hostess could not hear us or we hear her. We managed to get a table outside away from the music - but even then at times we couldnt talk over the music. They only had 3 craft beers to choose from and no IPA. After waiting for a while for our order, the waiter came and informed us that they didnt have Portobello mushrooms. With his help (the waiter was great & I tipped him well) we figured out alternative meals. Our food finally arrived and it was mediocre at best. Neither of us finished our meal and we did not bring home the leftovers. Needless to say - we wont make a second trip to Woodys.

Good variety of local talent that play R&B music, check woodys out you will not be disappointed, their food is also worth a high five, see you at woodys, bring your dancing shoes.

3-slider plate allows one to taste 3 hamburgers: since it was national hamburger day, I had a cheeseburger, blue burger & jalapeno burger. Accompanied by a Woodys brew. Followed by a lemon-zest cheesecake.

Came in tonight for a birthday party and the house was packed, with live music happening. We sat for two hours and our waitress wouldnt let us order food (knowing we were all on separate tickets) until the entire table was sitting there. They were all dancing and I just needed some food. Absolutely amazing! Came here a bit down, asking for a table for one, but the guy who greeted me (turns out was the owner) made me feel extremely welcome and special, got me a seat at the bar, got me the barman, and gave me a view through the bar of the Motown band that would be playing! Great drinks, great food, great service from everyone there - very friendly. Thank you!!

This is a very nice restaurant. And a very good location with great views from the patio. they have live entertainment, they also offer two menus. One for fine dining and one with a great hamburgers and sandwich selection, the prices are very reasonable for this location. We started with a spinach appetizer which came out very well. I ordered a mushroom hamburger which was very juicy. I have been there several times and well go back.

Wonderful hospitality and fabulous service. The owner Woody is very personable and accommodating. Its our new find and #1 restaurant when we come to Palm Springs. Have to come and have there wonderful tasty cuisine along with the fantastic entertainment. A must see and enjoy. Highly recommended. Really a 10 Star place.

My family loves this place. Anytime we drive through Palm Springs we stop at Woodys. Service is great and the food is delicious. They have entertainment nightly. I have recommended Woodys to several friends and they have all said how much they enjoyed themselves. Do yourself a favor and stop in.

Had high hopes. Long story short: had reservation for party of 13. Seated on time, then 15 minutes before drink order taken, 30 more minutes before drink order came, over an hour more before food came out. All steaks were cold and mine was a medium rare that was charred on one side. Finally settled bill and left after a little over 2.5 hours. :-(

Entertainment was excellent, food preparation was poor. I sent my dinner back once and when I got it back the second time I ate some of it as I wanted to eat with the three friends I came with. Then came Woody, his philosophy was :you ate it you own it. . This man could not even offer a common apology. Would not recommend!

I ordered a baked potato..got enough toppings for half the potato. The onion soup was cold. The cheese did not melt. Very disappointed. The server did not apologize nor did she try to make up for the error. The tip was a reflection of the service. Woody, stop being so cheap with the toppings.

Beautiful environment with a welcoming atmosphere. We recently had our Christmas party there with 40 guest. Absolutely amazing service, the young lady that takes your order and serves you is one of the top efficient employees Ive ever seen. The food is delicious not one person had any difficulty or complaint with their order. We could not have been happier with our party.

Monday night is the best place to go! They play Motown!
