Adult Learn to Sew 4 week class - was a great experience! I came in with minimal to no experience and left with a good foundation to continue and build on. The environment is casual, friendly and fun. Flo and her mother are both skilled in their sewing craft and teaching. After the initial intro to equipment and basic sewing you work in a group setting, but at your own pace which is ideal to get the most out of the classes, everyone gets what they need. I enrolled again for a second session. I would highly recommend to anyone.

My daughter was lovingly taught how to sew by Florence and her mom Larcy at Fairythimbles. My daughter can now sew dresses for her dolls and easily make hems and create projects of her own. We also have participated in painting parties which have been lots of fun, Florence takes you step by step through your project. She is a kind and gifted teacher. I am thankful for such a wonderful art studio in Melbourne!

My three Granddaughters were visiting from Ky. Their ages are 16, 21 and 23. Flo arranged a private paint party for us. It was awesome! We had so much fun!She let us pick what project we wanted to paint. The price was reasonable. They want to do it again when they come back for a visit. Also, do a sewing class too. I highly recommend Flo and Fairythimbles.

My grandmother surprised my cousins and I with a private painting class with Flo and I’ve got to say it was one of the funnest things I’ve ever done. Flo is so patient and helpful, she took the time to give everyone advice along the way. She gives you the space to put your own creativity into your piece. And the fact that she offers more than one artistic practice is great and for all ages! so much more wholesome than going to a chain for arts and crafts. I feel like I made a new friend! Everyone should try this place and meet Flo! Her artistry also follows into her children which is amazing! I repeat y’all gotta try this out!

We love Fairythimbles! My daughters have been attending FairyThimbles classes for a few years. We are so thankful there is a place where the girls can learn to sew and also do fun homeschool classes. This is the kind of place I wish I could have joined when I was a kid! The studio is super cute and we love the staff. It is a kind and welcoming environment.

Awesome place with a great atmosphere! This adorable space has a great vibe, and my child loves their classes. Everyone is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. The students are engaged and interested. It’s so refreshing. It is a very welcoming space that leaves my child curious to do and try more. He’s come home after each class excited and wanting to take more classes. We are very impressed.

Love this place! I took their adult beginners class and actually learned to sew! I also had my 5-year olds birthday party there and Flo and her mother were SO sweet and accommodating. They always go the extra mile! The studio is cute and clean. The staff is friendly and patient. Definitely recommend!

These classes were just the experience I was looking for in a beginning sewing class. Flo and her mom are extremely knowledgeable and patient instructors. I enjoyed each session and would highly recommend her sewing classes to adults as well as children.

Flo is an amazing teacher! I’m a newbie at sewing and after taking her class I feel pretty confident with basic sewing skills and using a sewing machine. They are super helpful and make sure you leave with a finished product that you can be proud of. I highly recommend them and will definitely be enrolling my children.

My daughter has been sewing here for two years. She just did the hand embroidery class. Her classes are always fun and exciting. I’ve enjoyed watching her grow and learn. The teachers are wonderfully gifted and so very good at teaching.

My daughter just finished the Sew-A-Doll half day camp. What a wonderful experience! Neither she nor I have any experience using a sewing machine, but by the end of the week she had made a shirt and skirt for herself(!), a matching shirt for her doll, matching eyemasks for herself and her doll, and a sleeping bag and pillow for her doll. I was amazed! So much learning and projects in such a short amount of time. The staff was super friendly (especially Miss Flo and her mom), and spent extra time with my daughter to help her finish her final project before it was time to leave. We loved it so much, we decided to hold my daughters birthday party there! If you love to sew (or would love to learn), I think this is a great place to go - highly recommend.

Very patient and kind. Explains very well. It was an excellent experience for both the adults and children.

My son takes homeschool enrichment classes and LOVES them all! He is taking History classes, art club and the ancient builders class.We love the small classes and fun, hands on approach. He has been able to connect with other students and work in small groups as well. The content of the classes is thorough and is presented in a fun way. Flo and Jess are patient and wonderful with my sweet boy! Thanks for such an awesome resource provided to homeschoolers!

LOVE this place! Mother/daughter team that are sweet, down to earth and know how to teach! Its one thing to know how to sew, but these ladies can teach as well! Highly recommend!

Fantastic place for learning and growth of any age! My 5 and 7 year olds adore Ms. Flo and Ms. Larcy. They are compassionate and knowledgeable and make learning fun! I have seen so much growth in my children since beginning with Fairythimbles a short while ago. We are lifelong students and will continue classes indefinitely! I am so thankful to have found Ms. Flo and Fairythimbles. They are truly a blessing to our homeschool family!

My daughter loves her sewing classes at Fairy Thimbles! She brings home something new every week and is learning so much. I love seeing how confident she has become in her sewing skills and she is always proud to show off her new creations.

My grandaughter and I participated in the mother/daughter sewing class over a year ago and shes been hooked ever since. She now takes weekly sewing classes and has become quite an accomplished sewer at such a young age, every week Im anxious to see what project shes going to pick and best of all shes made some lifetime friends.

My 7 and 8 year old daughters started taking weekly sewing classes last year. They love Ms. Flo and Ms. Larcy and look forward to their class. My girls are always excited to show off their new projects. They have learned sew much that they are now sewing by themselves at home, too! I tell everyone about Fairythimbles and am so excited that my children are learning a skill that they can use for their entire lives!
