Arrived with a party of 4 to tackle the La Resistance escape room. Super charming experience and clever puzzles that I think any player, experienced or new, will be sure to enjoy. Game master provided perfect hints that were neither too obvious or vague. Would love to come back again sometime!

Was a gift from our son to the family, so it was five of us there for the first time.In the beginning it took time to figure out what to do with all the clues and puzzles, then it was fun trying to figure it out.

I have been to many escape rooms, and this place is one of the best. This was my third experience here, and you always know what to try next, there are always multiple puzzles to work on simultaneously, and the clues are fun and inventive. Highly recommended!

Resistance and School Spirits are creative rooms with impressive programming of the electronics! Staff are friendly and helpful. 5/5 would escape again.

Our family of four went (2 adults, 2 college aged young adults) on New Year’s Day and had a really good time. Three out of four of us had never been to escape room. The La Resistance room was creatively done, and even outside of the puzzle, it was just interesting to look at all the objects in the room from that era. We had to call for a couple of hints and the game master was good about helping us without giving everything away or making it too easy. It was the right blend of challenging without be frustrating. We enjoyed the different rooms and the thought put into the clues and puzzles. We would definitely like to go back to see the other room. The great thing is you don’t have to have any kind of background knowledge or special skill to participate in the escape room. You just need an open mind and work together as a team. Fantastic place – highly recommend!

Escapeocity has gone above and beyond to meet my groups needs. There rooms are creative and challenging. One thing that sets them apart of the other escape rooms is that their themes are incorporated in all aspects of the room (locks, puzzles, clues, and decorations).

Unique option for birthday outing, especially if you have never done an escape room before. My daughters (ages 11 and 13) and their friends loved it. Fun, challenging, well thought out puzzles and staff is great!

We had a very enjoyable time. The puzzles of average difficulty and plenty of them made sense. I enjoyed their creativity. Finished with 5 minutes to spare using 2 hints.

It was fun. It was a multi room escape room which is always more exciting. We did a spy themed story which was super cool

We were here a few nights ago. We did the school themed one. It was a lot of fun. In the waiting room, they had some fun puzzles we all liked playing with before going in. I liked the MC (or Game Master? not sure what the proper lingo is). The hints he gave were just enough to keep us moving and we ended up escaping. With the exception of one clue/design choice (which I wont spoil), we thought the room was very well designed and had some neat little tricks to it. At some point, we definitely want to try the other escape room they have.Overall, definitely recommend them for an hours worth of fun.

Such a fun experience! This was our first escape room and we loved it. Our gamemaster was awesome - funny, helpful, and professional. The rooms were decorated very intricately and the clues were challenging. I will definitely be back!

This place is awesome!! So much fun! Our family went we had 8 people and we all were able to contribute. There is enough clues and what not to keep everyone busy with something! Love this place definitely going to be coming back for more. Highly recommend this place!

Ive done four escape rooms, two here and two elsewhere. This place is really well done. Fairly elaborate rooms that are really challenging. Fun group activity.

Im not an escape room expert, but we had a lot of fun here. Weve actually been here a couple times, and enjoyed it both times (the rooms get updated periodically). Fun date night or way to bond with friends.

Great for a team event. Lots of fun. Hint: clues are all connected in series, no shortcuts. The more people, the faster you can solve, need to work together, can not do individually or in isolation: team work.

This place was amazing. The staff was polite and helpful. The room was challenging but fun. It was just the two of us. I would say that a group of four is perfect because you can have people working on different clues at once. The group be for us loved it and they had 7 people. We will definitely e going back.

I’m going to give this a 5 star experience. The rooms are well thought out and they are making use of technology to accomplish it. I was impressed with some of the engineering that went into some of the puzzles. Very authentic as well!We still did not finish. Came right down to the end. So it’s still pretty difficult and their are a lot of puzzles to solve and doors to open. We did La Resistance.I will be back at some point soon. Both me and my GF enjoyed it very much.5 Stars regardless. This place my guess will get better with every room they create.

Went with my family for my birthday. Age ranges of 12 to 73 and each of us had a blast! Challenging but fun! We got out with only 2min to spare. If you like puzzles, excitement, and laughs, you need to give this a try! Plus its locally owned!

Did the time machine puzzle. Of the 6-7 escape rooms I have done this place had the best props by far. We were told the owner is an electrical engineer and designed all of the intricate props himself. All of the items in the room were antiques and fit the back in time motif very well. Worth the price and time!!! Cant wait to go back for the Bomb puzzle.

The Time Machine escape was very exciting! Escapeocity did a very good job drawing you into what actually felt like a Victorian era. The room was indeed challenging but not too difficult. All in all it was a great experience and really gets the gears turning! Piece of advise, whatever you think outside of the box is, think outside of that.

Fun! One of our better escape room experiences! My only critique would be to find a better way to let us know we beat the room-as we completed the time machine room, I felt it ended a bit abruptly and I wasnt sure if we completed it or if time was up when the employee came into the room. We also went with two newbies and they enjoyed it as well. Cant wait to return and try the bomb room.

I took my two nephews (6th and 8th grade) and we did the La Résistance room. It was challenging, fun, interesting, and so well put together! I was definitely the weak link in the team and still had a blast. We cannot wait for the Halloween room John told us they will be creating this year. Speaking of, John was a super and very patient guide. We asked for help often and he was able to guide us to figure many (obvious) things out. Next time, we will all do a lot better!!!

My wife took me here for my birthday yesterday. Had a blast with it just being the two of us doing the time machine. The challenges are difficult, but very fun. The staff is very polite, professional and informative. This was our first time doing an escape room and after this experience we will definitely do another.

So fun! Took our troop of 4th grade Girl Scouts and they loved every minute of it. Staff was very nice and helpful (when we needed it!) Will definitely plan on going back. Highly recommend. :)

This is a fun activity to do with friends or family. Everyone can contribute and and have a great time. If you really want to have fun and give your brain a workout at the same time come check out this escape room.

They dont tell you that youll be paired up with others in your time slot and they waited a while to start, but the actual escape room experience was challenging and well done.

We did the bomb room. This room was great-it was a surprisingly simple looking and normal room filled with puzzles and tricks. Definitely had to think about the room a different way than normal. I dont want to give away spoilers. Try it and youll understand. It was a good price for the difficulty of the room. The attendants were attentive and helpful, yet would let us try before giving us hints (which we appreciate because we dont want hints unless we are actually stuck).

Great choice for a first escape room to try, great customer service, very friendly and affordable. Best with groups of 4-6 people. May be difficult to keep kids under 12 interested.

We did this as part of our staff Christmas party (8 people) and we had a great time! None of us had ever done an escape room so we werent sure what to expect but really enjoyed it! It was challenging...yet not overwhelming. Definitely recommend!

I went there on a date with my wife and they were very polite and courteous. We did the time machine room and it was a lot of fun. Find the clues wasnt too challenging but unlocking boxing and deciding things was very challenging for two people. Although we got through over half of it before time ran out. I would definitely go back!

My friend and I had a great experience at Escapeology! The guy working there was very helpful and a pleasure to talk to, plus it was so fun being in a real life mystery game. If you are looking for a new, different experience for you and your friends I definitely recommend it:)

We had a blast. We were teens and adults combined. Everyone was engaged and found something to helped us “escape.” Clever problems to solve, which is more fun than some places we’ve been where the hardest thing is to guess the right table or object to look under/behind for answers. We’ll be back.

Had a lot of fun at this escape room. Our group of 4 played with another 3 people and had a good time deciphering clues and escaping! They had two rooms available, staff monitor your play through so you can ask for help at any time.

Fun challenge collecting clues and solving puzzles to escape. We had a group of 6 which seemed like just the right amount for everyone to be doing something at the same time. Will return next year when the new room is constructed.

Clever clues to solve thought-out puzzles, lots of fun!

Our group of 1 adult and 2 13-year-old girls had a lot of fun at Escapeology in Palatine. The puzzles were challenging but not impossible to solve. Although we failed to escape, I feel that we couldve succeeded if we had been more organized. The girls want to come back when new games become available. Staff was friendly and helpful, the reservation process simple. I found the cost for an hour of entertainment to be a little high for my tastes, but I am somewhat stingy in general.

Had a great time! We were in a room with some people we didnt know, and some of them just sat around and didnt do anything. Why even pay if you arent going to participate? Their loss!

Such a disappointment.. .we called to book a room for 6 adults and were told that no one ever books 2 with a group of 6 and that we should book online. We did and when we got there 2 other people were booked with us. I didnt pay for someone else to solve it for us. People in our group had nothing to do because 8 adults is too many in this room. We feel like we got ripped off. I guess it is all about the bottom line of $30 per person ....better get as many in each room as you can.
