Beautiful vista point and one Ive passed for years. Awesome photo opportunity to see moon rise and catch the white horse waves roll in.BTW if out with the kids or old ones the restrooms are still open in Covid!
What a great little course! Played an early morning back 9 and I smiled the whole time! $33 to walk 9 on this real estate is amazing. Course was in much better condition than I thought it would be because of the price, and I spent most of my round soaking in the view. Some reviews have criticized certain holes, but on the back 9 it’s basically all amazing. Sea views on every hole except 10.Although this course is very short and I wouldn’t call it challenging, you need to be able to hit straight shots and putt if you want to play well. Really fun if you can’t afford your 3 month salary to play one of the other courses on the peninsula!
Just a beautiful course was a great rate. I look forward to playing here multiple more times. The views on the back 9 were amazing!
Front 9 greens were really rough. Could have played faster and ended with a better front 9 score if the greens would have been mowed/rolled. Back 9 was picture perfect. Deer, odeer everywhere on the back. Very timid but DO NOT APPROACH- youll get kicked in the head. Gorgeous course!
What happened to the greens? Is the maintenance staff on vacation? There were more bumps and dead grass on the greens than on the horrible tees. This was once a great and fun course to play. It seems its going to seed. If it wasnt for the marvelous views on the back 9.....
Fun little driving range... couldnt really use my driver though... also theres only 6-8 spots to hit from.
Smells Ocean and very fresh air for play golf here .
Well maintained course. fun to play.
A typical municipal course on the front nine. The back nine has some spectacular views. Be aware, the back nine has a number of hidden greens, and the fairways are not well marked which makes it difficult to know where your target line is if you are unfamiliar with the course. I would not call Pacific Grove a “Poor Man’s” Pebble Beach by any means.
Fun golf course for not too steep a price. Its very nice along the water. Without being a true golf enthusiast, I cant speak much to the quality of design, however the course is well-kept.
Beautiful, well tended course. Definitely the poor mans Pebble Beach.
We played this at twilight the day before we played Pebble. Nothing special but it’s an incredible value with great ocean views. Really good place for a casual round.
Super cool low cost golf alternative to Pebble with the same type of feel on the back nine
Good course. It is short and fun but still a good challenge. Awesome views on the back nine.
This is the tail of two courses. First nine is a narrow out and back surrounded by houses. The second, on the coast with amazing views. All in all a fun course to play.
Solid option for an affordable round of golf on the peninsula. The back 9 lives up to the hype. Super short course. Not much by way off design. Holes are pretty straight forward. But it’s fun and beautiful.
Love this course! Bay views on the front and ocean views on the back. Fairways in great shape and the food at Point Pinos Grill is awesome!
Pacific Grove golf Links is one of the most affordable municipal golf courses in the Pebble Beach- Carmel area. If you only want to play nine holes asked to play the backside. Its the Oceanside of the course.
Came up from the central valley to escape the heat, well worth the drive, great golf experience will be back!
My husband, who is an avid golfer, thoroughly enjoyed playing this golf course. He played Torrey Pines 4 days prior to this course and said this course was obviously not as exquisite as Torrey Pines, but it was definitely worth the $50 course fee.
The Poor Mans Pebble Beach. The back nine has a view of the Ocean on every hole. Hard to believe they got it from the Coast Guard for a buck. Makes your Tee Time in advance. They are hard to come by.
Fun course but can be windy and brutal on the exposed holes! Friendly staff and fair prices for the Monterey Peninsula.
Great course. Escaped the San Jose heat wave to play at P. G. Course in good shape.
Beautiful course adjacent to 17 Mile Drive, gorgeous views.
Good Muni track with nice views on the back nine. Good value during the week but a little overpriced for the weekend.
Its a beautiful golf course by the coast. Lovely scenic views.
Great round of golf... Beautiful scenery
Everyone says the back 9 is where its all at but the front 9 is a nice area too. Dont get me wrong the back 9 has beautiful views of the ocean in the background. But overall this is a nice Executive style course it plays short but fun. The staff was great and the Fairways and greens are maintained well. If your in the area its probably your best bang for the buck. I will definitely be back to play again when Im in Monterey.
Awesome course
I have never played a more beautiful 9 holes of golf than on the back 9 at Pacific Grove. It’s was only $31 to walk it. Can’t comment on the front. Two days prior we played the Links at Spanish Bay. I enjoyed that course but I left the back 9 saying hands down I prefer Pacific Grove. I’m not from the area. I’ll be back and plan on playing it multiple times.
Great views coming in.
Beautiful ocean and golf
Love this track, best value for golf in the state.
Great golf course
Great golf course and the food wasnt bad.
I now see why its called the poor mans Pebble Beach. This is the view at the driving range. Amazing and beautiful. And reasonable prices.
Back 9 is 5 stars
Beautiful location
Best value around that area. Some beautiful views
Beautiful course, great service cant wait to play it again!
Gorgeous views. Spectacular sunsets. Fun course!
Beautiful golf course. Well manicured and in excellent condition
Highly recommend this place. Nice atmosphere and the food is absolutely delicious.
My go-to place for golf in Monterey. Always fun and a great value.
First time at this course and have decided to put it down as one we will visit again
Nice course. Beautiful views. Long part 3s but very enjoyable.
My husband and I had some bonding time together at the tide pools and we had such a great time together, we even got a bonus, they were getting ready to have a classic car auction, he was in heaven .....
Great local course. The back nine follows the coast with gorgeous views throughout the round. Par 70 and short overall, but some challenges along the way.
The course was great, the restaurant which is not connected to the course had a puking trash can right outside the door to it. Trash every where. Looks really bad.
Beautiful golf course with amazing views.
Played two rounds during my annual golf trip with my two sons. I love this course and the conditions were excellent. If I lived in Monterey year around, I would play this course all the time.
Lovely ocean views, just like pebble but for lots less
A great golf course peace tranquility and great food the people in Pacific Grove make a huge difference with kindness and caring
Great place for golf. Epic views.
Getting run down. People working here are a little up right about stupid things. Still a good value for what you get.
Love the beach, perfect spot away from all the tourists
Great location and price!!
Such a beautiful Golf Course. Expect to see lots of deer. We love eating breakfast here as well. They make the best pancakes, breakfast burritos, Chicken and Waffles, and eggs benedict.
Fun place to golf as long as the herds of deer arent out feeding on the fairway....lol
Great day.
Nice course front nine is ok but the back nine is beautiful
A great atmosphere due to the weather and ambience. The course is older, nostalgic, and moderately kept. Expect to see wildlife, fog, beautiful trees and ocean.
Best place for photos of lighthouse when to early to get to lighthouse..
Great staff. Good value. First nine are parkland really but fun. Last 9 with great ocean views. Not long but still challenging course.
A great day for golf. Typically PG weather. The course is in good shape, except 18 - under construction. The staff is great, food is good, price... about 10 bucks on the high side.
Love this location- its so beautiful
Great little course. Like Spyglass but backward; front nine is thru the forest and backnine is thru the sand dunes. Not totally groomed but very very playable. Elevation changed, doglegs right and left...You will throughly enjoy yourself. Maybe prettiest publinks I have ever played. Great views.. Sweet!
Hard to beat for the price!
Great place to play and enjoy the weather and location
Great back nine! One of the best muni golf experiences in California!
The poor mans Pebble Beach! The best kept secret on the peninsula. Really nice staff, Lord of fun, no pretensions
We went on the 17mile drive and enjoyed stopping at the little landmarks along the way. I belive it was $10.50 to go thru. We had a car full so it was worth it. Dont forget your camera.
Beautiful scenery and fresh air! The first 9 include trees, deer, squirrels and rabbits- last 9 are set against the ocean views. My kids like the putting practice area. I dont usually grab more than a coffee at the restaurant so cant comment on their menu. But the restroom facilities are usually pretty clean and the staff are helpful.
Incredible views. Well manicured greens and fairways. A great good experience.
Love this course. Front 9 are back into the woods. Back 9 run along the dunes with spectacular ocean views.
