This gun shop is awesome! I was looking for a particular handgun that has been difficult to find due to high demand. I spoke with Phil and he told me a new shipment had been received and he would place one on hold until the next day. I arrived at the shop the next day and his staff took care of everything quickly and efficiently.

Staff is comprised of volunteer archers,very friendly, everyone is professional, great sport for newbies, location is perfect and looks so beautiful after a rainy day. First lesson is free, then its $10 for the following weeks. You borrow club equipment and they give detailed directions. Highly recommended.

A reluctant 5 stars... They sells weapons, personal safety weapons... Shotguns and pistols and they even have some in stock. Personnel very nice and knowledgeable. The reluctance is my concern that there are already far too many weapons out in the public. So maybe Ive added another to the too many...

I been to a couple of different Turners in SOCAL. All have knowledgeable staff and great customer service. This one follows same standard you would expect from this gun shop. Dont hesitate to stop in and ask the staff questions. They are always willing to help.

I got on line to enter the store. An extremely rude employee with a clipboard came to ask me why I was coming to the store. I told him I wanted to browse. That wasnt good enough for him. After some more rudeness and interrogation, I just walked away.I think Turners is suffering from a syndrome called too much business.Rudeness is not a symptom of Covid19. You can be strict in procedure while maintaining a professional and kind attitude. Unfortunately this did not happen during my (attempted) visit to Turners. This may have been an isolated incident, but thats what I experienced...

I called on Thursday, June 11 1:00 pm to ask about affordable rifle cases I saw on their website. The first employee said theyd check to see whats available but after being put on hold for about 10 minutes the line was disconnected. No big deal but I called back and explained what just occured to the different employee who answered..attempting to clarify what I was looking for only to be told that my request was unreasonable and I would have to come down and look myself. He said they were too busy before hanging up on me.

They had a gun I wanted at a different store of theirs. To transfer that gun to their Oxnard store required a 30% deposit. You cant start your background check until the gun is at the store you are purchasing the it from. If your background check is rejected for some reason you loose you whole 30% deposit. Pretty scandalous if you ask me.

In most times it has a good selection of guns and ammo but with the way things are going its getting harder to find them but you still can if you keep checking with them.

Line waiting is bad but over ok visit

Not really my type of store (it focuses on hunting/shooting sports-it even has an indoor archery range!), but I appreciate how good it is for those interested in those activities. I went here for a knife. They have awesome, quality knives! I got my dream Zero Tolerance pocket knife at, like, 20% off. As cheap or cheaper than online. If you appreciate quality knives, give this place a look-see.

George was extremely helpful in buying my new pistol, as was the gentleman who answered the phone before I came in. All around great experience, glad I came into the store instead of buying online.

I would have given it 0 stars but it wasnt an option. I waited for a half an hour just waiting for ammo. Nobody could take 1 minute to walk the ammo up to the front counter. Its like this every time I go. Dont think I will be going back.

They have a great selection with terrific prices and top quality.They cover hunting, shooting, archery, fishing of all types and outdoor apparel. Also sell fishing and hunting licenses.

This is the easy place around where I live and every time I have been there, there has been nothing but nice workers and get prices somethings are a little high but what can you do. I don’t know how to fix bows so they help with that. I needed arrows cut and inserts in and they did that one of the worker even made sure I got the right tips because I didn’t know I had the wrong ones and she gave me the right ones. All around great shop anybody should go there.

Great store and great selection for a .CA gun store. The customers were rude to staff and trying to cut in lines. But thats oxnard for you. Ill exercise my 2a rights here before they get shutdown by the state too.

My experience has been there is easily an hour wait to get service at the gun shop. That doesnt include the purchasing process. Great customer service, but youll have to wait for it. Allocating the appropriate number of sales staff during peak times and studying business treads should help remediate this issue. Also, managers on the sales floor during these times would help to address issues as they arise. In the meantime, bring a book, magazine or prepare to update your social media and have your family shop the other stores while you wait. Good luck. :-)

Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. OK selection in the store, but they are more than willing to ship items for you to pick up. Try to go mid week in the afternoon, it can get pretty busy on weekends.

Fishing department sad customer service. Associates have no desire to help you or be there for that matter. Called asking a few questions and the old mans voice sounded like hes retired just trying to show up and collect a check. To lazy to even check in their system for products and prices. Literally saying he COULD go through their system, but it might take him a few minutes... when the inquiry took all of 10 seconds. Might as well go to Walmart, at least they have better service.

Got everything I need for shore fishing in one stop

The Oxnard location is alaways busy. They never have enough associates for the gun counter. The wait time can be up to 3 hours. (My experience 3 times) If youre only picking up a gun, expect a wait time of 2 hours. At times theres only 1 associate working the cashier. One day I was there I was on my second hour of wait time & the manager asked an associate to help at the gun counter, the associate REFUSED! The manager told him to go home. Ive never seen such chaos, insubordination and lack if respect for customers and employees at a store. Ill drive a bit longer but will no longer visit this location.

The person who works filling line and does the ordering for the fishing department does all the ordering for himself, I was asking about a new fishing lure and he says that they work really good, I asked when they were going to get some in? he didnt know he said that they sell as fast as they come in. Who orders?I do he says your better off looking some where else. What an answer. I was there for some line doesnt have what I want? No Thank you!

Great shopping for firearms, fishing, archery, ammo and hunting gear. Tactical clothing and other guy stuff. Purchasing anything behind the counter can be time consuming though as you must take a number and wait your turn. I have purchased a firearm in 20 minutes and I have also waited n hour and a half.Very friendly staff and knowledgeable about guns. A fun place and great sales too

All around good place/staff. I primarily go here for archery set up and for the indoor archery lanes. Firearms team is knowledgeable and up front as is the arvhery staff.

They never have anything in stock, have to wait forever to get help in the fishing department, guys working the gun counter busy gabbing away. They see customers waiting in the fishing area and they dont even bother to get anyone to assist us. Although when I did get help from guy working the fishing department he was friendly and very knowledgeable and helped me with everything I needed.

Turners is the best . Carlos is so knowledgeable, and knows what hes talking about. My family and I took our kids to shoot at two different times and both times our kids had so much fun. My husband and our two sons spent the day their shooting bows and arrows. They didnt want to leave. Definitely love Turners

Been there a few times. Good selection overall and friendly service in the fishing department. Last week was looking for specific rifle ammo and after waiting more than 20 minutes with my number I was greeted with an eye-roll by the salesman when I asked if they sold what I was looking for. Its not a rare caliber, so I was kinda irritated by the lack of professionalism. The wait was a little ridiculous too since there were only a couple people ahead of me and at least four people behind the counter.

The first salesperson seemed pretty indifferent to us or the pistols we asked to see.Maybe she was just having a bad day. We were about to leave when a salesman named Stan asked how he could help. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. Rather than walking out, I ended-up purchasing a 9mm that was perfect price wise and quality for my needs.Im very happy with Turners...

If you want whats hot now Turners delivers, a good selection of the popular guns and calibers, a wide selection of cleaning tools and supplies. They have reloading supplies again in the most popular brands and calibers.Smokeless powder is available but they cant tell you what they have. You have to ask for a powder and then the sales person will look for it. A very hit and miss proposition.Sales people run from those with real experience to internet geniuses.

Have bought 2 firearms and both were purchased from Turners and both times i came in i was never pushed towards buying a specific firearm. I let them know what i wanted and they told me pros and cons as well as their own personal opinion about the firearm. it seems like every time i walk in to turners you feel comfortable talking to the salesman or saleswoman. Very satisfied with the shop overall and its always my first stop for anything firearm wise.

Absolutely LOVE this place. We recently bought a recurve bow for my 3 & 4 yr old and they had their first lesson with Sarah today. Absolutely golden moments and she was able to shift seamlessly from instructing them to coaching me in how to work with them at home. Theyre our home for all our archery needs :) Ask for Sarah or Anthony, you wont be disappointed..

I have bought four firearms from this store best prices around and gun guys are knowledgeable and helpful, unless the phone rings. I was told by one of them that store policy is they feel if you are waiting in line they already have you there, so they help the guy that it calls on the phone first and then back to you. I waited for 1 hour to get to one of the salesman and he took three phone calls while he was trying to help me until I said something.

Its busy but when its your turn the staff treat you like your the only one there.

Never really had a problem at turners until today I waited 40 minutes to get asssisted just to look at AMMO I even had a number (49) and was skipped finally when I was assisted the associate was not very helpful had a smug attitude and look to him some really short stocky guy ...the only saving grace was the really nice middle aged with a mustache at the cash register who was not only welcoming but also had a great attitude and served me well

The worst place ever, don’t ever buy from this store horrible service, the sales reps are a bunch of liars and if ur not sure if something will come up on ur background for first Time buyers this isn’t the place to try and get a gun, these thieves stole over 300$ dollars from me and when I called corporate all they had to say way you signed the fine print(rats).

I bought a firearm from Turners on 6/6/18, they told me that the gun is at their warehouse and cant start the 10 day waiting period till they get the gun to the store. The sales person told me it will arrive Friday or Monday I was okay with that. I called Monday and asked about my firearm, they had it but didnt start the gross, they said they will start it right away. I called the next day and they still havent started it, long story short they started it that Friday on 6/15/18. I was expecting them to start it the day they get ahold of the weapon or the latest the day after. The wait time to see someone in person at the store is about a 30 min wait. Took forever to get my gun. They are under staffed or just dont care. Never buying anything from them ever again. Two thumbs down

1st time going into the store the employee who helped me was not informative in the firearm i was looking to purchase. He was more of a pushover and telling me my choice of firearm wasnt a good choice (glock) which is fine people have their own opinions. The way he was treating me i felt like he was stereotyping.2nd time going to the store shortly after they opened, Waited 20 minutes with a number and still nobody acknowledged that i was there. Workers were just chit chatting with the normal customers that go in. Asked if i can get some help with purchasing a firearm, waited another 30 minutes after that. After all of that time still nobody helped me, in fact they helped 2 people that arrived after me. Wasted my time standing like an idiot. Took my time and money elsewhere and GLADLY purchased a firearm somewhere else.

The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Good prices and the support is the best. You can not go wrong going to them for your hunting needs.

Got home after I purchase a $1,200 1911 to find out gun lock was missing called and ask them if I can get one since its supposed to come with one. guy told me just to come back and buy one so I said that was unpleasant experience with them So he just hung up on me Ha! Way to go Turners

(Anthony Garcia Gilland) after waiting 3 hrs for a manager to help out a customer who’s gun they sent to the wrong store after he had filled out his dros and waited 10 days they took even longer to explain to him they had simply made a mistake.. they issued him another gun.. then he went to ask about an optic they had labeled for sale at 229.99 come to find out it wasn’t the right optic and it had been on display that way for some time I’d know because I saw it their prior and had pointed it to an employee.. they refused to sell it to him for the advertised price! Not only did they mess up once but twice.. and then after having to wait for them to sort things out.. two other employees who where hiding in the back finally decided to help out in a store full of people.. terrible management I waited for 4 hrs to just buy ammo that they didn’t have.. that I had called prior for and verified it was their and the employe said they had plenty of.. it’s sad it’s the only store here I have to deal with
