I am an artist. Visuals, Sound, Writing- it depends on the means and often the space available to me. Born in Oxford, Talawanda Graduate with Honors.I came in on a non-event afternoon, in 2017, inquiring about volunteering and (maybe) getting a space in the building. I was only optimistic about the first part. The person I was living with at the time just wanted me back out there working. The man I talked to didnt ask anything much about me, but DID inform me that he had three Masters Degrees, did most of the custodial work, and scoffed at my saying that my volunteer work wouldnt even require paperwork - i.e. records for a law enforcement to verify. He did give me the contact info for the manager of things there.I sent her an email describing my offer, and listed abilities. Ive been a teaching assistant in Art classes, trained some musicians; painted, maintained, and cleaned up after artists, in the restaurant business, and retail- and specialize in Customer Service. I said that I would clean the bathrooms and anything else no one would touch.Apparently I wasnt good enough to work there for free.

Chocolate festival. Very busy and fun time. Great turnout.

Great art, music, food and company. Second Fridays are one of the best things happening in Oxford.

What a special place. Wonderful community arts events (concerts, dance, theatre productions, holiday craft fairs, art shows, etc!), studio space for artists, and a really fantastic historic wedding venue. Donna Stevens, the facilities coordinator, is an angel who truly, deeply cares about making your wedding day perfect. She was an enormous help to me as we planned and held our reception in the ballroom. If you love gracious historic buildings you will be delighted by the experienced and dedicated care staff provide as well as the loveliness of the setting.

Thi sd is Oxfords gem with programming for everyone of all ages.

I really like this particular building. Very old, with a distinct personality. The vibrant artwork is the real draw. Pieces range from paintings to jewelry to theater performances on occasion, and other popular events are often hosted here. Dont miss out on the beautiful displays and gorgeous ballroom on the first floor!

This is the place to be if you want to connect with the community. New art exhibits and music on the second Friday of every month is just part of why I love this place. Add plays, the annual Empty Bowls event, and so much more...OCAC feels like the heart of Oxford.

A beautiful historical building with a very professional, comfortable staff. The art displayed from personal artists is enough to make a visit an awesome experience in itself ! There are artists who have studios on the 3rd floor you can meet during the second Friday of the month during the free hors doeuvres and music from 6:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m.Theres an art shop and dance studio called Flowing Grace, and so many community based activities, theres so many lovely reasons to get to know more about the Oxford Community Art Center !!! Enjoy & cheers.
