If youre looking for best-in-class volleyball in the Kansas City metro area, put PVA at the top of your list.In the past few years, my kids and I have experienced so-so volleyball clubs and the so-so results that go along with them. Its one of those things that you dont know what you dont know until you can find the time to fully immerse yourself in the volleyball world and suss out the good from the not-so-good. And that? Often takes not only a superhuman effort but also boatloads of time.Thats where PVA comes in. Our experience with Christi Morgan, PVA founder and club director, and her training/coaching staff has been spectacular in every way.Every interaction between coaches and kids at PVA, whether at an open gym, tryout, a clinic, lesson, scrimmage, practice, etc. was impressive. Its clear that Christi and team have done an amazing job developing, staffing, and running the organization, and it shows -- in the quality of the players I saw as well as in the overall vibe of the club as well.Speaking as a parent, as well as for my kids, the interactions we have had with the PVA organization have been really meaningful. For me, evaluating a club and an opportunity for my kids is less about the time and money spent than it is on the emotional investment and energies our kids put into an organization, and what they will potentially learn from that, and how they will grow as human beings as a result that matters most.I care much less about whether they become amazing volleyball players and play at Nationals and get into great colleges than I do about the life lessons they learn as a part of working with amazing coaches and learning good work ethics and what they learn from the experience of being a part of strong teams who learn to rely on one another and work with another toward a goal. Those are the life lessons that will stay with them long after their volleyball careers are over.IIll end this review the way I started it: If youve looking for a best-in-class volleyball experience, training, and development for your player, PVA is where youll get it.

PVA has been an AMAZING experience for both of my daughters for 3 years. I’ve been blown away with the level of professionalism and expertise from the club and coaching staff! In addition to the high level of focus on developing their volleyball skills, PVA also believes in instilling teamwork, integrity and good sportsmanship. As a parent, I’m impressed with a club that cares about our kid’s overall growth and development. Its an honor to be a part of the PVA family where I know they truly care out our kids and look forward to many years to come!

This is the worst athletic organization ever! The coaches do not genuinely care about the players and continue to mess with their heads. Do not consider this club unless you want your daughter to lose her love for the sport.P.S. This is my daughter’s first season at PVA after playing elsewhere the previous 4 years. She has enjoyed to work with many of the Coaches in private lessons and in their summer camp. My daughter has repeatedly said how she likes how the Coaches break down the information and she always learns something no one has ever told her before. She also appreciated the opportunity to participate in the club included positional training and has found this to be extremely helpful. Her Coach and Assistant Coach are very positive and are doing an amazing job coaching. Thank you PVA for providing such a positive environment!

Our family has been With PVA since it began. The best and most qualified for all position training. The director is very professional and gets back to you quickly when corresponding. This is by far the best volleyball club in the metro area.

Our family has had the opportunity of being part of the PVA program as both players and coaches. Both experiences have been and continue to be a positive ones. Jeff and Christi along with their coaching staff are great resources for skills training and recruiting.

Great club that treats you like family. Competitive while caring for each girl personally. My daughter has played for PVA 5 plus years and has had great experiences and met some amazing coaches and girls.

PVA has been the most positive and enjoyable experience that my daughter has had in her 7.5 years of club volleyball. She has also had the benefit of playing directly for Christi and her incredible coaching staff which has been a great experience. Christi is a coach and director that cares about the kids that are playing for her and are a part of her club. She is committed to leading the kids to success within the program and into their future. For the kids interested in playing at the collegiate level, the club is highly focused on and involved in that process to help the kids as much as possible with finding the right fit for them and getting the collegiate coaches interested in the kids. I have been very pleased with the amount of improvement and growth I have seen in my daughter both on the court and off due to the influence of the coaching staff! My daughter and I could not be more happy since making the change to play for PVA!

This will be our 3rd year with PVA and our 6th year playing club volleyball. PVA has truly been a great experience for our daughter. The club is very well run -- very organized, great communication, and a fantastic facility. (The parents are pretty great as well!) Highly recommend PVA!

Our daughter has been a PVA player for 3 years and loves it! The coaches are extremely involved with each players development and genuinely care about the success of each player. They push the player to be their best while drilling home what it takes to be on a team. We really couldnt ask for more from a volleyball club experience.

This will be our 4th season with PVA, and both my daughters LOVE it! My girls play at very different levels, and its important that our club offer teams at a variety of levels while still providing excellent coaching. PVA does this and more! With easy access to volleyball specific strength and agility training, this club covers all the bases for us! Highly recommend!!

PVA has provided a wonderful opportunity for my daughter to develop as a player and a person in the 6 seasons she has played there. Excellent strength training, knowledgeable coaches, and PVAs commitment to long-term player development all work to the benefit of the athletes. Teams are available for all levels of competitiveness with a fun, supportive atmosphere.

Great club with great families! Christi is always pushing the program to the next level to improve opportunities for players! Everything is outlined upfront so you know the schedule and costs. Having girls who were multi sport athletes it was refreshing to have coaches who embraced us and made it work! We have been a part of PVA since the first year and have made lifelong friends!

I have been involved with PVA from its inception. PVA trains each girl to help them become the best volleyball play they can be. From the minute she walks into the gym, your daughter will become a part of the PVA family. The girls are treated with respect and in turn are expected to respect others. If you are looking for a club that will do what they believe is best for your daughter, you have found the right club.

Christi and her staff of coaches truly care about their players focusing on the personal growth and development needed to reach the next level. Very pleased with the upfront communication she has with her families and her ability to coach at the highest level. Well organized, classy organization.

Outstanding volleyball program. Both of my daughters have played for the Club Director, Christi Lutman and had a wonderful experience. Christi and her coaching staff truly care about the players and their development. We thought so highly of the PVA program that we drove from Columbia, Missouri three nights a week for practice. Great coaches, great people, outstanding program.

Starting my 4th year as a coach with the club. Love the experience I have had and the coaches I have met. Director is extremely professional and cares a great deal about the players, coaches and anyone involved with club. Fairly new club (less than 10 years old) and is among the top in the area.

My daughter played for PVA for 3 years, it is a fantastic club. She took lessons with Christi Lutman and Mark Rice both outstanding coaches, trainers and mentors. Best place in the Kansas City Metro area for volleyball position/skill training.I highly recommend this club if you are wanting an elite club experience.

Great club focused on individual training of each athlete and dedicated to their college recruiting process. Lots of teams overachieve in their system!

PVA is not so much a volleyball club but a pyramid scheme. They only assemble one team for each age group with any degree of consideration and coaching. The other teams are merely there to subsidize the cost of the facilities (which are very nice). Just check PVA teams seeds/record and you will know all you need to know. The club director made herself unavailable to meet with parents to discuss issues. And without any explanation from her, the only conclusion one can come to is that the amount of playtime each player gets at tournaments is not determined based on merit or attendance but rather by some other undefined factors or simply favoritism. Very disappointed to say the least.

PVA is THE place to develop.Leadership and organization of the club are amazing -making the player/parent experience the best in KC.

PVA has been an incredible experience. The director Christi Lutman strives to teach just more than volleyball and the athletes leave with a since of self worth and the tools to dominate in high level volleyball situations. The most amazing thing to watch is players that start with PVA and go on to continue their volleyball expertise in competitive volleyball programs and competitive academic programs. Over the years it has been apparent that christi really knows how to help the player find their perfect fit in the college world. A D1 program is not for everyone and she makes sure the player will succeed in their environment.

I watched Christi Lutman as both a high school and college player. She always demanded the best from herself. She always encouraged others to do their best. As a coach, she teaches a game she loves, but she also teaches lessons she has learned - to show respect your teammates, the other team, officials and the fans; to expect the best from yourself and have a positive attitude. The lessons that girls at PVA learn will carry them through life and help them to be successful in anything they attempt.

Great coaches, facilities, and families!!! This will be 6th year with club and have been offered other clubs and have never considered leaving!!!
