This place is exceptional. Worth every single penny. So thankful to have a facility like this accessible to my son who’s been a student here for a couple of years. Great coaching. Solid work outs. Technical training. Nothing but good stuff.

So many negative reviews, I am a little surprised. Our kids LOVE coming here and are surrounded by talented coaches that want to teach the game, how to be a team player and to give . We can see major improvements in all the kids that regularly go and they seem excited to be there. All club sports come at a cost, but if you attend all the skills, open courts, and team practices you really get a lot for your money. We see the value in what we pay based on the time spent and the skills gained. We have done other club sports previously and not felt that way. Admission prices are $9 for tournaments, but if you have multiple games per day- it’s a better price. We have not experienced any rudeness from staff or coaches. Like any game, no Ref is perfect but it’s clear they try to be fair and have to put up with a lot of crazy parents at times. (On that note, if you do join or attend-PLEASE don’t be the crazy parent screaming at the kids, other parents, or Refs. It’s just kids wanting to play basketball and it is really distracting to the kids when adults can’t control their emotions...) At the end of the day, we are really happy with our experiences here and are happy our kids WANT to go each and every day.

The other negative reviews are true. Like others have stated, I get the feeling that Drive5 is too profit-driven. After the entire metro was glazed in a layer of ice last night, which was then covered by snow, every news station suggested that people not drive in these conditions. So most responsible institutions in the area closed and cancelled their events (school sports, recitals, churches, even Union Station). But not Drive5. They wouldnt dare refund everyones entry fees for cancelling todays tournament in the name of safety. Obviously we had the choice to stay home, but people tend to trust decision-makers in these situations, assuming theyve checked the roads themselves (not everyone watches the news). It doesnt bother me to drive in slick conditions, but some people arent comfortable with it at all, yet they still feel like they have to be there. If the tournament isnt cancelled, people feel pressured to show up so they dont have to let their team down or forfeit their registration fees. Any pressure placed on people to risk driving in icy conditions would have been eliminated if Drive5 would have made the right decision and cancelled the tournament. That was very irresponsible, and to me it gives the appearance that Drive5 puts their profits above the safety of their patrons. And then theres the $9 admission to watch your kid play. Theyll try to tell you this is in line with other tournament venues, but its the highest Ive seen yet. But what really burns me is that I have to pay $9 and THEN I have to go work the scoreboard for them! Parents would really prefer to cheer on their kid from the stands and not be forced to do a job that Drive5 should be paying a high school kid to do. Dont try to tell me that you cant afford to pay high school kids to run a scoreboard when you charge $9 admission plus registration fees. Im not buying that for one second. And if you cant afford to pay high school kids, then you need a new business model because that is shameful. At the very least, dont make us pay admission if were running your scoreboards for you!!! (And even if other venues force parents to run their scoreboards, does that make it right? No. Youre just using them as an excuse to be greedy... Have some integrity and try doing something that sets you apart from the competition!)How many of these negative reviews will it take before you can accept the fact that you need to make some changes?P.S. The locker rooms look like a dungeon.

Your $9 gate fee is the highest around. We travel all over for basketball and baseball and you folks have overcharging down to an art. Congratulations on doing your part of taking the fun out of youth sports.

The reffing has to improve. You cannot allow an organization rent your facility without ensuring the referees are adequate. These games are getting dangerous. If parents or players would have had a gun today it WOULD have been more of a bloody mess. Parents and coaches...your children will follow you good or bad. Be of good character and they will follow.

I pay $9 bucks so I can work the score clock for them? What a business model! With all that money they are making I would think they would put some back into the facility. It’s a dump.

Money grabbing cash cow and way overpriced..... $8 to get in? Terrible.. and like everyone said, customer service is...bad. Refs get paid by drive 5 so of course they get all the calls. Otherwise they don’t work.... And floors slippery and facility is not maintained. However, The playsight video feature they offer is pretty darn cool...And yet again this past weekend shows you how officiating always works in Drive 5’s favor. Homer calls cause refs know who signs paycheck. I suggest going somewhere else.

Update - $9 entry fee to watch your son or grandson is a complete rip off! Highway robbery and bad business model! Watching all the parents sitting at the glass window trying to watch a kids game is so sad. Please negotiate you team entry fees and lower this to something acceptable.

I Dont know what this facility is thinking. Way to overpriced, the entree and the snacks. The refs call it super close, and my kid cant move without something happening. I want my kid to be able to run. The bad calls piss of coaches and parents, so everybody is shouting and Its really loud. Just all around a horrible facility. I DO NOT SUGGEST GOING HERE.

The facility is run by people who care passionately about youth basketball. The tournaments are run efficiently. You can always find the right level of competition. We are so lucky to have this facility here!As far as the club goes- they staff are amazing there. They work with the families and coaches to make it a positive experience for everyone involved. We have two boys involved since Drive5 began and we couldnt be happier. In regards to the entrance fee complaints, the regular tournament weekend fee $6 an adult /a day. It is comparable to other tournaments that are not in the showcase which do cost more.

Please refrain from using this organization. All they want is your money. Customer service is poor. We got a nasty text from Ashley the Event Coordinator because we didnt want to travel in a snow storm just to play in one game. There are plenty of companies to use. Drive 5 is not one of them.

I cant give a review on the facility....but, what I CAN do is tell you how disappointed I am in what is being charged for people to get into the Kansas City Classic this weekend!! How are some parents, and families, suppose to be able to afford $10 a person to get in?? Especially when some of us were only to be there for 2 games!! It was going to cost me $50 today to come and watch my son play in 2 games!! So, this sad mother sits at home and misses them!! :(If this isnt the correct place to vent this, I apologize. Please direct me to the right place.
