Facility is amazing with all kinds of equipment, classes, pool, the works! Staff was super friendly and helpful.

Its open with limited hours, understandably so. Very clean, plenty of hand san and wipes. Get in, get sweaty, feel great and go!Water available byo bottle.

They charge you for rec fee even if you dont live on campus. waiving the fee is nearly impossible.

It has a hot tub, a sauna, a heated pool, gymnastic rings, and many different options in general for a great workout. Free towels (to use) are a huge plus!

I cannot express how grateful I am that this place exists. The pool is a great place to hang out with friends, the basketball and racket ball courts offer a lot of fun. The weight rooms have all the equipment youll ever need. After going here, all other gyms make me sad. The free classes are awesome, the staff is always helpful and the people that go there are usually very considerate.

Great place for exercising, from weight lifting to running or biking. Their group classes are fantastic and covers a wide range of options. Good place for family to enjoy the pool or sports at the courts. Plus the sauna is a big hit. I visit daily for my running at the treadmill and then sauna.

I think this gym is great! It is always very clean and there are tons of things to use! The staff is amazing as well as all the people that use the gym! Memberships are cheaper than the YMCA and the YMCA gym is no where near as nice as this one!

Showers were run down and dirty, but exercise machines were great.

New Balance Student Recreation Center has a friendly staff and outstanding facilities. This is a place that truly believes in offering their guests the best experience possible. We worked with their team in 2014 to create a positive aquatic venue and would highly recommend them to anyone!

Best gym I have ever seen. Lots of space and equipments. Lots of game options. Usually busy in the evenings but not busy in the morning. Very clean and everyone tries to keep it that way.

Its always clean the attendants are really excellent first-class operation all the way Ive been going there for years every morning at 7 Id recommend anybody to go

This place is amazing. I was a member their for 4 years until I built a home gym. The staff are friendly and helpful. The place is meticulously clean and they have a lot of equipment.

Great gym, a but pricey but the facilities are worth it especially once you get into off hours from the campus students.

During the summer it is great! The rest if the year it is pretty busy, so getting to the equipment you want can be a challenge, but there are a lot if things to enjoy.

Awesome fitness area, easily best in area.

Wonderful multipurpose facility. They offer a daily rate or monthly membership. Classes ate available at a discounted rate or free when a member. It can be very busy during the winter but the pool and hot tub are worth it.

Great facility, well maintained and clean. Offers lots of classes although not as many in the morning as they used to have. Some classes not included in monthly membership, requires purchase of a FitPass. Sauna, hot tub, pool, machines, free weights, rowing, elliptical, bikes, treadmills, raquetball, indoor track.

Excellent student facility to excercise and burn off stress of school. The nicest public college sports complex I have been too.

Rec center is famous for its gym instruments. You will have a new life there. Amazing experience.

Beautiful, state of the art facility. Its only con is that its so nice that it attracts a large amount and demographic of people, and therefore can get quite crowded at peak times.

This is an amazing facility that has just about everything you could want from a rec center - pool, sauna, track, basketball courts, racquetball courts, free weights, weight machines, cardio machines, yoga mats and more. The staff and gym goers are genuinely helpful and friendly.

Students get in free which means free gains

Large fitness center on the UMaine campus. Basketball, volleyball, racquetball/squash courts, pool/hot tub/sauna, and of course fitness equipment - treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, etc. - and free weights. They also offer a variety of group fitness classes - I highly recommend Dustins Zumba class - you wont be bored!
