My favorite place to be! Great food, great people, great business! Its very much about community and after becoming a regular member, Im also becoming a better person. You really get to know people here on a personal level that actually care about your well being. This is a business where youre not just a number to them.

I only walked around for a little bit, met the owner and really enjoyed the tour he gave. Im only rating 4 stars for now because my visit was very brief, future visits will likely merit the final star. The environment was very cozy and welcoming and i cant wait to visit on a day where i actually have time to hang out!

Dude...This place is dope!!! They have all kinds of games and stuff here. Vintage games, new games, online gaming, tournaments, lots of trash talking (friendly), lots of fun yelling, a resident dog, sloppy cheeseburgers (the best kind), chips, popcorn, drinks...and its not expensive at all. I drive 45 minutes, one way, to drop off my son or stay and play with my kids there. Its the best entertainment deal on the planet! No kidding or exaggerating!

This is easily my favorite place to go to in the Auburn/Opelika area. They have all the gaming systems I could ever want, a huge library of games, LARPing, D&D, and some really delicious food.The prices are fantastic too, especially considering the amount of food you get. Oh and those milkshakes. Just get one and thank me later.Owners are some really down to earth and personable people. Really love this place and have made so many new friends here, I cant believe we havent had a place like this here sooner.

Finally visited this place after months of meaning to. Outstanding atmosphere. The lady at the front showed me around to all the rooms available and even introduced me to one of the main D&D members. Everyone is super friendly and its easily a place you should visit if you love video games, anime, or tabletop games.

Fantastic little place with all the video games you could ever want and hope to dream for. The owner is a fantastic guy that will show you around and have you meet some of the regulars. NERDtorch cafe is the next big thing for Opelika/Auburn and people that love video games, anime, and all things nerd culture. Nigel and Leilani run the store and are two of my favorite people. They get to know their customers very well and it makes the atmosphere feel like youre walking in to a good friends house to play the day away with some Smash Bros or Halo.Leilani makes the best tacos I have ever had in my life. If you get the chance, go to Taco Tuesday. You wont regret it. In fact all the food is delicious. An order of double fries or nachos goes perfect with a D&D session.Nigel has the uncanny ability to bring fun wherever he goes. Hes set up the cafe to accommodate nearly any genre of nerd from retro gamers to hardcore tournament competitors. Hes also constantly working to improve his business and make sure everyone that walks in the door has a great time. He also runs a pretty dope YouTube channel called Nerd Torch TV.The store is organized and managed extremely well. There are several rooms dedicated to different types of gaming. There is a room for tabletop games, another for rhythm games like Guitar Hero or DDR, and other rooms dedicated to console games. Theres even a PC built for gaming. Multiplayer games are very popular and this is a great place to find people that love to play Smash. I dont think Ive ever been to the cafe when there wasnt someone playing Smash or Mario Cart. Theres a great community built up around the cafe as well. All of the cafe members are invited to a GroupMe chat where you can get updates on events or just chat and hang out. This year, they organized a secret santa for everyone.If you love games, nerds, and having a good time then you wont be dissapointed if drop by NERDtorch Cafe.
