I ordered a 36 TWO STICKS frame for a large (34x48) map. Its beautifully made and perfect for a simple display. Easy to put together, watch the video. The kit came with 4 insert tabs and really needed 8 so I called and received excellent customer service. They appreciated the feedback and sent more tabs!! I high recommend this company for your art/framing needs.
This isnt a pretentious gallery at all. Youre greeted with a warm welcome, and left alone unless you have questions. They offer something for everyone and every price range.
An amazing place that has so much to offer. I was invited for mix and mingle there and I was impressed with Chirpwood. The art gallery is beautiful, but the nest is the hidden gem of this place. The nest is a perfect place for some quiet reading, a meeting, or some time away from everything. The owners are nice and accommodating. I will definitely be back for another visit and will tell others about my experience here.
Great to see a local small manufacturer making frames and supporting local art.
I love the craftsmanship, design, and quality Chirpwood puts forth into the frames. Chirpwood creates to showcase the beauty as well as the imperfections of wood grains. I bought a frame for my husband and it fits his style perfectly. We plan on having many more of frames throughout our home and office!
Chirpwood is such a treasure! We are so lucky to have this amazing business in our town of Opelika. The service is wonderful and the frames they can produce are so beautiful and unique! If you havent stopped by to visit yet you are missing out!
I love having a local gallery in Opelika that showcases artists from all over the South. The frames are impeccable quality, the space is charming and theres always something new to see. Highly recommended.
Very nice gallery, frame shop. The reading room in the attached The Nest is a great place to read by the hour.
Chirpwood/The Nest is a custom frame shop and art gallery (Chirpwood) and your office away from home. The unique frames and artwork will become heirlooms and the Nest is the perfect place to meet, hang out, surf the Internet, and enjoy free coffee and fresh snacks. You pay hourly for the meeting space and wifi starting at $5 for the 1st hour and decreasing hourly after that. Half of all profits go to support charity.
Stumbled upon this little gem over the weekend, and lemme tell you - its awesome! Scott, the owner, is super friendly and happily gave me a tour of the place. His custom frames are works of art themselves, and the paintings, posters, and other art on display (all of which is for sale) is stunning! My favorite feature, though, is The Nest - an in-house coffee shop (sorta?!) with a very novel and VERY awesome business model: instead of paying per item like at other places ($6 for a cup of coffee, $4 for a stale pastry - you know...), you pay for the TIME you spend in The Nest. The first hour is just $5 and its even less for each additional hour, AND you have unlimited gourmet coffee, great snacks (including fresh fruit from the Opelika Farmers Market, which is just next door), fantastic Wifi, and access to a mini-library --- all at no cost! Its the perfect place to study, meet with clients, or just relax. Sidenote, the atmosphere of this place is amazing - very industrial chic. I love it! Part of me wants to help get the word out, but part of me wants to keep it my own little secret! [Since Chirpwood donates half its profits to some amazing causes, though, Im opting for spreading the word - check it out if you have a chance!]
