Very pretty... lots of fun. It was almost completely empty when I went which made it perfect since I brought my 1 and 2 year old. They were able to run around the arcade while Dad and I got to play some air hockey. I would definitely go again! (Next time not on a Monday when the rollercoasters are closed) It was also nice not being rushed for mini golf since we were the only ones out there.
I took my 6,7 and 15 year old children for the first time, always see it on the 15 fwy. I went on Sat. Feb. 3rd. 2018, purchased the unlimited wrist bands, which is the best deal if you plan on staying all day. The kids had a blast, they couldnt stop talking about it on the way home. I suggest packing some food and a cooler, but leaving it in your car because the food and drinks inside are a bit pricey. They allow you to enter and leave without any problems. The two little ones keep asking when can they go again. I definitely recommend this amusement park its a great deal for your money. Just dont expect it to be huge like the others, but there are short lines and if you have unlimited, they can keep going on and on.
Great family fun. We are here for a pre-new years celebration for the youth of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The price was great and there was so much to do. Mini golf, roller coaster, dragon swing, spin out, go carts, music, and food. Everyone had a good time. The staff was hlepful and friendly.
This place was terrible. So short manned. There were 3 attendants to run 16 rides. One would go back and forth between the bumper boat and the race track and then there was only two to run all the rides on the other side. Some rides were not in operation. The games are more expensive then other arcades and the ticket redemption is very very limited and you get very little for your tickets. The golf courses were in bad repair and definitey need some up keep. I asked for a small cup of water to take an asprin and they yold me they could not give me one but I could buy a drink for about $4. We will never return to this rip off park again.
Regardless of the rating, my company made the time spent here bearable and worthwhile, really the only reason I didnt rate it 1 out of 5. There is a TL;DR at the end.The courses were so cluttered with garbage and tree debris that we couldnt play the ball without cleaning most of the play area ourselves at first with our feet and clubs, eventually moving on to asking for a damn broom to sweep the courses ourselves. The lighting is less than minimally acceptable we often had to pull out a phone to see our balls on the course. Make sure you go to the restroom before playing and may there be no sudden urges to use the facilities once youre halfway through because there is no quick way to get out. There are many areas where the plants are overgrown and getting through the course involves litteral brushing up against the bushes, and that bothers me because I ended up with bugs on me as a result. The pictures included are the results of actually trying to sweep with the worlds most useless broom and I can see why they didnt bother in the first place. The single person in charge of the arcade/ food/ register/equipment area was nice and polite but clearly should have had another staff member present to split the work. Most of the arcade is presentable as expected, except for the super primo 5D experience game that had litteral chunks of seating missing. And my last issue is that tap water is 50 Cents not free, being an establisment in California that serves hot food and fountain beverages requires said establishment to provide at the very least potable tap water and a cup at no charge.TL;DR Golf courses are super cluttered with tree garbage had to clean it ourselves with a broom we went to ask for. Getting out quickly of the play area midgame is impossible. Area is not lit well nor is the foliage maintained out of the way so you can avoid getting bugs on you. Severely understaffed, most of the arcade is ok except for the super primo 5D experience game. Pictures included are the results of our labor to clean up the course with a useless mini broom.
Had a fun date here! My boyfriend is from Australia and really wanted to try American mini golf like hes seen on TV. The mini golf here course is pretty classic. The grounds are well maintained. We also had fun Im the arcade. The games are well maintained in working order, and they have a few classic old games like the Simpsons video arcade game and pinball machine. Personally, I enjoyed playing a few rounds of Skeeball! My only complaint is that they seemed to be doing maintenance and one of the mini golf courses was closed, and on the open one, one of the holes was missing the carpet so it was very difficult to play that hole. Overall we had a great time here!
Half of there games did not work. Sadly most of the games with balls that said they worked unfortunately were missing their balls, but you wouldnt know till AFTER you paid for it.The staff is super grumpy and they place over all is dirty!Sadly the games grant hardly any tickets so we could claim no prizes at the end
Scandia is a great family fun atmosphere. there are plenty of activities to do with your family. miniature golf, roller coaster, arcade and carnival rides.I took my wife and daughter here and we had so much fun my daughter even got an extra game kf golf for hitting a hole in one on the last hole. it was very exciting for her to hear the bells go off to indicate she won. I would recommend this place to everyone.
Scandia during the Halloween season is awesome. They feature 2 very scary mazes (only allowing 2-3 in at a time), unlimited bumper boats, unlimited mini golf, and unlimited go karting for less than 30 bucks! Well worth your money and just as good as one of the major chains during the Halloween season.
I had a blast today. I was there for a birthday party and my host Cassandra was great! All the employees were amazing. I had a little problem at the batting cages, but the manager Veronica was nice enough to help me out. Overall great experience, I can not wait to come again, especially for Halloween!
Scandia is an amazing theme park. The service was awesome. I asked for information for a company event and Janet was so helpful. Would definitely recommend having a birthday party or event there. Make sure to ask for Janet.
The batting cages and the Putt-Putt golf range are quite dated. Theres also not much Variety in the type of holes in the Putt-Putt range. With that said when we did have issues with the batting cages the staff was extremely helpful and gave us a bunch of extra balls.
I did haunt here for many years...I loved the circle of family it created..Gonna miss this place during haunt season...Great timesGreat memories..
Half the games dont work at all, but the staff was super nice and tried to make it right. Plus the golf course was really pretty and interesting. In the end I spent way too much money but my seven year old son and I had so much fun!!
All in all a great place. My sister and I love all the attractions this place has to offer. But when you ride everything, at least twice it gets pretty boring. But all in all I love Scandia!
I took my three year old granddaughter on a weekday afternoon and we were about the only ones there. Karla V, the attendant on duty, made it fun with her friendly demeanor and helpful attitude. Afternoon is a good time to go to avoid lines and get personal attention!
Went on a Sunday for son’s birthday. Not very crowded but short staffed. We had to wait a little for someone to come before starting some rides. Staff were friendly and for the most part we enjoyed our time.
Rollercoaster is awesome my 8 year old is finally tall enough to ride on all the fun stuff. Had a great time. Buy the unlimited ride wrist band.
I have had at least 3 birthday parties here and my kids still love this place. Although weve had several experiences here, I thought Id share about my latest visit. I made the rookie mistake of not reserving my sons birthday party online. I thought maybe I could walk in and set it up. Big mistake! They were all booked; of course, it was a Saturday! I spoke to the Mgr. Betty and she was EXTREMELY helpful and very understanding. Although I was not able to get the full birthday package due to there not being any available time slots for tables and hosts, she still honored the birthday prices for the unlimited wristbands for my entire party. That was such a relief for my pocket! I couldnt thank her enough. My 7 year old son and his friends had a great time! We already are customers of Scandia Ontario, but now we will be regulars.
I loved this place, there is not a lot of ride but the one they have there is never a long line, I enjoyed myself so much last night with my family, the kids did also, the second year that my job took us there, thank you mentor. The hunted house was the best I havent screamed so much in a long time. The place is super
I had an excellent experience. I took my 11yr daughter, and she had ball. She was entertained throughout the whole day. The arcade had a good selection of games. They had lots of fun rides as well as go-carts and bumper boats. We will definitely return. Highly recommended.
Today I went to scandia and had an awesome time but while riding some rides I lost my phone but the manager Gabriela was nice enough to help me find my phone. She was very nice about it too all the workers have nice manners. The only reason I didn’t give five stars was because at one point of the day there was not enough ride attendants.
It was a good experience for my first time there. Good family environment for the little kids. I had a lot a fun with my wife playing miniature golf! I would recommend this place.
This is a really fun place to take kids. I went with my church and everyone had a lot of fun. The ride attendants were nice and let us go on the ride again when there wasnt a line. However there werent a lot of ride attendants and some of the them were slow going from one ride to another. We also brought food from there and the pizza and fries were good and decently priced.
If I can give a negative I would. It’s a waste of money . I bought 4 wristbands for my kids so they can enjoy a afternoon of rides . For what if they didn’t have employees working the rides . They had to wait 10 minutes in line in a EMPTY line for a employee to come and turn on the ride . This definitely will be my last time coming . 3 rides in a hour when the ride is about 2 minutes .
Permanently closed, per Daily Bulletin article on 2/8/19. First sentence: After 27 years, Scandia Family Fun Park in Ontario has shut its doors for good.
This place was pretty empty when we went, it was great! We got the pass to do everything and its totally worth it. They even have a graviton. Its a little funny trying to find the place if you make an impulsive decision and just get off the highway and start looking. Its real weird, the entrance is pretty much parallel with the highway but way behind when you exit. Just Google maps it so you dont look like a creep driving around for 20 minutes like us
Gotta love Scandia. Always a good time. Great for taking your lady on a day date. Of all the small theme parks in socal this one takes the cake. Sorry Castle Park, its true.
Its pretty old and you have to have someone who works there follow you to get on rides. Its a lot more fun with friends (: other than that the rides are pretty decent. Theres games I side that are a lot of fun!
This was a first date experience for me and it was excellent! I’ve been having this fantasy of having a date at a miniature golf place for years and finally it happened. The price is reasonable. It’s wasn’t too crowded on a Friday night. The staff were friendly. It’s clean. The only thing is that the pond stunk. But overall it was well maintained. There seems to be plenty of options for families to do besides golf. There’s a batting cage, some rides and an arcade.
Good value and mixture of activities to entertain my kids ages 1 to 14. Slower during cooler weather, allowing for shorter wait times made all day pass more worthwhile.
Been having fun here for years! Go carts are too much fun, batting cages, but the space ship will make me sick. Good place to take your family
I grew up around scandia and thought it would be a good place to take my daughter for her 5th birthday. When we arrived it was extremely windy but we figured wed still try this out. We walked the park and it seemed that noone was working, as we were leaving Omar approched us and offered to help. He let us know hes the manager and he would escort us, apparently it was a slower day and not many people were working. He offered my daughter a birthday pin and wrote her name on it, which was a great touch. When more guests arrived at the park he was still able to manage the seperate groups. He even helped us take pictures. The arcade was fun but a few of the games were out of order, we recieved our coins back right away so there was no delay. My children had a blast and my daughter loved the visit. Were glad we went and would definitely return.
Im from the bay area( dead center silicon valley) and this place is awesome, I day on a day where it wasnt busy at all, my kids loved it!! Prices are reasonable,VIP pass is the best bet. Will recommend anyone looking for a good family outing, this is a great place to think about.
I had to put 1 star just to post my review at Scandia. They deserve -10 and should be shut down!!! I always loved riding the Scandinavian rollercoaster years ago, but my experience yesterday had me horrified!!! The Scandinavian coaster was completely covered in rust all over. Support beams shook and raddled from being loose. NOW FOR THE SCARY PART!! I was sitting in the second car to the front, and at the end of the ride when the operator stops you before pulling you in slowly, I noticed on my left hand side that the track had a good size gap/hole in it, and thin cracks above and below gap/hole. The hole was filled with GLUE, and not even filled in all the way. I cant imagine how many things I would find if I took that ride slow. There is absolutely no maintenance done on these machines. You would think that they would buy some blue paint, and paint the track to cover the massive amount of rust. The owner is obviously a tight wad, and shows absolutely no concern what so ever for peoples safety. They are poorly understaffed and the whole park needs an extreme make over.
This is a good place for a childs birthday. They have table spaces you can rent; they make (thin crust) pizza there. They will refrigerate your birthday cake for you. One nice thing is that the rides are exciting, yet the place isnt so big that you go into a panic, because you cant find your children.
Mini golf was a blast. The course was clean and maintained well.
Great fun for a night out. Big game room,Arcade. You can spend alot of money here though.
Brought 50 tickets for about $43... No military Disc. There was only a couple interesting rides. This place is clearly no six flags once Ur in there. Arcade section of it looks like a better time but we saw the rides and went for it. We didnt do miniature golf either looking from the outside looking in the rides looked better. Small children will love it
I want to give it 5 stars due to nostalgia BUT its sad how beat up it is. The staff was very nice and the attractions are fun just wish they would take care of it more.
Fun place, had a great time with my family. The crew was always happy to help with the rides and my questions. Would definitely suggest others to visit
Just read an article in the Daily Bulletin that said this Scandia location has shut its doors for good. They closed for renovations earlier this week but now will not reopen.
I went here occasionally in my youth (more often Castle Amusement Park however). Their arcade was in good shape, the pinball machines in particular seemed like they were operating perfectly. I never went on the rides, so I cannot judge that portion of the place.
The staff that helps with the parties was excellent. Very friendly, helpful and on top of things. The cost for having a party really isnt bad either.
Did the miniature golf on both courses. We had a good time and wasnt too crowded on a Wednesday afternoon.
Way too expensive for 10 rides. NOT worth it. I recommend going to castle park instead. Much cheaper and way better. Will never come back.
Fun an clean place. Just need more employees.
Scandia had definitely cleaned up the place. Used to be pretty ratty but the miniature golf is new and the arcade has games that work. My complaint is during Easter break youd think theyd have more staff to not only tske your money and give out wristbands (one person) but have a staff person for each ride instead of 1 running back and forth. Grand kids had fun and thats all that matters!
One attendant for two rides, so we had to wait 20 min. Why buy unlimited when most of the day you stand around waiting.Another day they wouldnt allow purchase of one round of golf. Had to buy unlimited. We left and wont be back.
Had a blast! Martin M. has to be one of the best employees anywhere, very helpful and very courteous, Thank You for a Great time! Came here for my sons Bday, and although we spent too much in the arcade, the unlimited wrist band is a good deal.
Customer service sucks. Not coming over here with kids again. Good percentage of arcade games dont work
Lots of childrens rides which is great, but why do parents have to pay to go on the carousel ride to take their children? Its not like were getting anything out of it...
Good place for mini golf or fun with family, friends or on a date. The grounds are a little dated and could use some clean up but overall great place.
Hello whoever you are but I love this place sadly if closed February 8 and will not reopen. The one in Ontario, Ca 91762.
Not the best place like huge theme park but helps to entertain kids. No huge lines but not all rides are open. Need more staff but some are helpful others are so... so... but good distraction for a few hours.
This is a great place to go Mini Golfing! The prices arent bad. The place kinda needs a remodel, kinda getting run down. But still a fun place to go.
Fun
Scandia Ontario is the best place to go. There is a roller coaster, fun rides, baseball, golf and theres even arcade games. Scandia is the best place to go with your kids.
We had fun, not enough staff, long lines at the snack bar only one worker he was working the golf and snacks no help anywhere litterly hes the only person I seen
Actually had a very good time. Park is a bit dated but all in all would be back. Roller-coaster is well above average.
Very calm and fun place to hang out. The arcade was reasonably priced as well. Overall had a great time.
Good rides but few. Nice staff and nice food.
This place was okay. Some of the rides were very bumpy and there was times we had to wait a while for attendants to return to there rides. Its a good place to have a birthday party more for the younger teens/kids.
I liked it. It was nice when I went not too busy for a Sunday morning. In the arcade most games worked, if we got a bad game the workers quickly got our money back or gave us our tickets.
Love this place. Great place to spend afternoon. Food is a little pricey but great place for all.
On our way to Vegas, stop for last minutes event for our SoCal trip. Back in old days for everyone and fun even at night time!
First time being here and I can say that I would definitely come back again. The staff is amazing and helpful and overall, this place sends out positbe vibez! This place had many activities to do with my friends and we all had a good time.
Played some miniature golf. Some better lighting would be nice at night but still had fun
Hands down the worst mini golf experience weve ever had.....The course was filthy and littered with debris and rubbish. The lights over the holes were not functioning on multiple holes making it impossible to see where to putt on an evening session (photos show this). When this was brought to the staffs attention their response was we know and then walked off.The evening was worsened when 2 of the group were lucky enough to sink the putt on the 18th hole winning a free game each... Or so we thought. The machine sensor was broken and the ticket machine did not dispense. We took this to the attendents to fix and they flat out accused me of lying in front of my children. This is not acceptable behaviour for anyone, let alone hospitality representatives.I would definitely not go back here!
Good place to take the family. Weekends are the best to get to do everything. Fair prices and decent rides make for good times.
Very nice time with the family
Kids always have fun. Lots to do
Nice family place, reasonable prices, Go carts brought back childhood memories
Okay so we went on a sunday and there were quite a few of people there yet they didnt have that many employees. The had about 5 employees which they had to keep bouncing back and forth to let people ride the other rides. Food is expensive, go cart and water boats were closed all afternoon. Not untill we were getting ready to leave was when we saw them finally opening the go carts. My advice the later you the better just because theyll have everything open.
Very cool place to hang out with my 9 year old and ride the roller coaster over and over
Facilities are great - restrooms and park are super clean. But food is overly priced. Kids had great time.
I loved it but i didnt like that they were short staffed a lil and the golf was amazing to play and challenge friends and family
$50 got the kids all day passes for the rides. $50 at Disneyland will get you parking and a soda. Carnival-style rides far more trustworthy than your standard pop-up carnivals. Lots of cheap fun for the kiddos.
I bought the unlimited round of golf and there was debris all over the golf course. In one hole, while I went to retrieve my ball after I had already made it, it was filled with gross water. I would make it in the trick shot, but the ball wouldnt even come out the other end. The little lake is mosquito infested. I got home to find sap and the debris stuck all over the bottom of my shoes. Horrible experience.
I like this place its very clean, and the people are very nice. Its a lot of fun i brought my two daughters 9 and 11 they had a blast
Sooo much fun for youngsters. My ten year old daughter and her friend love this park. The best part? Lines are very small and the kids can ride over and over again.Scandia is a basic carnival-style theme park with only a few good rides - but you can get on as many times as you want. The box roller coaster and the centrifugal-force ride are my kids faves. Theres car racing and bumper boats too. There is a nominal Scandinavian theme which adds to the cheesy fun. All-day pass at 24 bucks is pretty good, and adults dont have to pay to accompany their kids - the pass is done by wristband. The arcade is pretty good as well. Parking couldnt be easier. Its an easy shot up the 15 or 10 freeways.
Lots of fun. Kids must be at lease 48 inches tall to go on most rides
I reccomend getting the all day passes since you would end up spending the same for the bundle tickets. Nice place to take younger kids
Worst place ever! Weve gone twice in 2 months for mini golf and both times there was only one course open. First time was a snake on the loose so we got a free pass to come back another day. And so the second time we came to use our passes, one course was getting landscaped. Which was basically a pile of palm tree leaves left on one of the putting greens from earlier that day. Were never going back to this crap hole of a place!
Great place for a round of puttputt golf or to take the kids on some fun rides.
The Go carts were fun! An the slide was fun to! But the best ride they have there is the roller coaster!! The swing was the scariest for me! I felt like I was gon fall out cos it went super high. There was one that got me so dizzy I didnt wanna go on any rides after that. Dunno the name of it but it looks like an alien spaceship. Overall it was a bit pricey especially when going with your family. We spent so much. We bought the wristband to go on all the rides. But if its just one person is not expensive. Definitely will not be going back again. They lack staff members. The time spent trying to look for them. Plus asking if they could open up rides. No thank you. I pass. Never again.
Awesome arcade games, great mini golf and amazibg rides!
Its a great place to go on some rides and play Mexico and play some video games and its not that expensive
Place is horrible. Run down and not kept up. Electrical wires hanging in bathroom ceiling by the food court area. Food is expensive and they had their fryer down so pretty much only ordered pizza and soda. Most games are old and outdated, one actually had a for sale sign on it, really? Will not be returning. Also, the wristband and ride tickets are purchased at the food court register so it took us like 30 minutes to get them with like 6 people in front of us.
This is a locals spot. Classic vibe. Decent batting cages, go karts, rides, mini-golf and arcade games. Im simple. My highlight is Zoltar! This is not Six Flags. Its a local spot to chill.
Scandia fun is excellent. Today my younger son enjoyed his birthday number 5.Thank you.Blessings.
Mini golf, batting cages, go carts, and arcade are the best things about this place. Though the mini golf is in severe disrepair. And for all the rides you have to follow where the attendants are going during slow times
Pretty good local place to go to the family and its very easy economic. Its a kinda small place but you can find many things to do while there. Better suited for the younger kids.
I dont know how an amusement parks is open and they dont have enough attendant. I paid for unlimited band that means they go in the rides as many times as they want and they only give it for 4 hours, but when you only have few attendant working you really dont get your moneys worth because your always waiting for someone to open the ride, if you think going to have more employees till later than open the park later, why open early and have every customer mad and ready for a fight.they are happy taking your money and not providing the service.this place is in need of better management.the outside looks nice and clean, the bathroom were clean, but as soon as you walk inside it smells horrible! I dont know who wants to eat in a place that smells.
