Neahwa Park

Beautiful little park in the middle of the city. Love walking here listening to the water fountain. They do an excellent job of keeping it clean and manicured.

Neahwa is a nice park. They have several ball fields, a small area for skateboarding, several open fields, two pavilions, water side picnic areas, a playground for kids, and a lovely promenade to walk along. Usually very clean with well maintained grounds and a family friendly atmosphere. My only complaint is that there isnt a continuous walk way around the pond so you are forced to walk around on the side of road. This is fine though since the speed limit (10mph) is regularly enforced by the city police.

We are here in town with the family for vacation and this was a great location for the kids to go play for a couple hours!

The park is gorgeous! A beautiful playground, clean, picnic area and ample parking. We also attended the hotair balloon festival and it was so much fun!

This park has lots of outdoor space. Something we are all looking for after being stuck inside fir so long. Nice pond in the middle with some ducks and geese.

Great place to take this kids. Right in town, quiet. Playground, skateboarding, soccer and basketball fields... Lovely pond, picnic tables, benches, one or two places to grill. Just wish there were facilities at both ends.Nice place to just relax or go to local events such as fireworks, concerts, carnival, etc.

Its a beautiful, NEAT and relaxing park. Loved it. Theres also ducks which are very calm and friendly.

Big park with lots of space for everyone

What a lovely hidden gem right in town. It’s so pretty. Took my friends dogs walking there several times and they LOVE it. There are places to BBQ, large areas to congregate for family and friends gatherings. Very tranquil water fountain in the lake. Many walking trails that are great if you want to enjoy nature. I love it there!! It’s a must do when in town.

This park has a little bit of something for everyone. Theres a skatepark, a playground, a baseball field, a pond, and lots of open field. There are so many fun events that go on here throughout the year. Its a great place to enjoy a nice day

You can barbecue play basketball, soccer, football, run fish, have a picnic, rollerblade, skateboard, ride your bike. Take your children your animals and have a wonderful time the Baseball park is there also.....

Great park! Wish there was more seating by the playground (only one bench). Noticed some people brought their own camp chairs.

My son who is a toddler loves the play on the playground. It is nice that there two different sets in the same area on for younger children and one for older ones. Even though he is 3 he loves to run around on both. Public restrooms on close by in the large pavilion across the street.

Nice small pavilion, away from the major flow of traffic, but close enough to the playground for the kids to play with us able to watch. Good time for a party.

I like this park very much! My daughter had a great time swinging on the swings and running around and just being a typical 14 month old little girl. Shes so cute and she had such a nice time, we will definitely be back!

Great for all ages. A place for children to play on swings, slides etc. Baseball fields, soccer field and plenty of space to play football too. Space to walk for pleasure or run surrounded by nature.

A nice place to sit by the lake

After my moms Dr appt, we go get chocolate milkshakes, my mom is 90, then we go to the park, when its nice we can watch the kids playing, other times just relax, enjoy the shake and watch the squirrels play

Lots to do such as the massive playground, two basketball courts, a skatepark, baseball fields, and 3 pavilions to use for events. Theres plenty of places to sit, throw out garbage, use the bathroom, and even fill up a water bottle.

A great place to take the kids to play. They have 2 playgrounds, as well as some basketball and tennis courts. They also have a few pavilions where you can have a party or a family picnic. Ive been going here since I was a kid and its definitely changed over the last 25+ years, but still a great place for families.

Great playgrounds, clean, space for all age groups to enjoy and have fun. Soccer fields, couple of baseball fields, basketball court, play area for smaller children with 4 swings.

My beautiful daughter had such a nice time playing on the swings and running around and just being a typical little 18 month old!! We had a great time!

Kind of a shady place, not somewhere you would wanna be alone, and kinda dirty, park employees clearly dont clean the grounds hardly ever

It has a lot of potential, but is missing a lot. There are no dog parks, no handball/ball walls, not a lot of landscaping, saw a dead fish in the pond, no carousel, and it looks like they may use junk pesticides on the lawns and do not post pesticide warning signs--supposedly Oneonta uses pesticides. The tennis courts look like they have not been played on since I played on them several decades ago, but the tennis courts are in basic shape, and playable. The skate park is small. As a minority, I feel that Neahwa Park basically sucks, you expect a nice park there, and you will even see a war memorial, but as a minority, I just wonder if they put that on top of the indigenous people they committed genocide against. My dogs like it there a lot, as they are also hunting dogs and there are geese there and other goodies for them to look at, and I sometimes take them there, even though I do not like it there very much.

Really nice park. Well kept and the pool for the locals seems really nice. I havent personally been in it but just based on appearance I definitely will sometime.

The war memorial is nice to walk to, green lush grass and wild swans, ducks, and geese lounging in the pond, but the rest of the park is torn up, and old roads/parking lots falling apart

Very nice city park. Not much for activity, such as jungle gym. Nice pond and fountain, good scenery. The monument is quite nice too

Nice park with trail leading to new island trail. I havent been to a baseball game yet but i always enjoy their music entertainment around 4th of july.

Skate park was really enjoyable

Place hasnt changed any since I was younger. Its still a dumb hole because of the people who hang around there. I cant even take my daughter here half the time. There is always a bunch of morons who are in the large gazebo yelling and swearing. They just sit on the tables so you cant even walk towards the bathrooms without hearing the nasty things they are talking about. And the bathrooms are beyond disgusting. You are better off walking to the gas stations.

Its been arounf forever and its cute has a toddler playground and one for bigger kids right next to that.

This is a beautiful park. Only thing is there are real verse at the pond and you have to be careful where you step. Geese poop everywhere. Just dont know how healthy that is.

Great park to take the kids

Great for all ages. The best event that takes place there is 4th of July fest This park has alot to offer. There are pavilions and BBQ pits to cook food on. Just bring charcoal and a brush to clean the grates bc no one else does. There are 3 or 4 pavilions that u can get a permit for to reserve it or u and show up the day of ur party and hope no one else has taken it. There is lots of picnic tables so theres always enough sitting for the whole family. There is a big pond in the middle of this park and it has a fountain thats usually on. There r fish, ducks, geese and other wild life here. There are 2 big play ground for the kids 5 to 12 there are swings, teeter tot, baby swings, slide and lots more for the kids to play and have fun. And there is also a baby play ground lower to the ground for 1 to 5 year olds for safety. But it has very many this that the kids love and burn that energy. There r soccor feilds, basket ball court,.town and the surrounding countrys. This is s pretty park. There are often events held here that are always interesting(Love the balloon glow held here). Also if your a pokemon go fan there are a bunch of stops and a gym

A great place for kids and adults. Whether your looking to relax in peace and quite or to exercise. Its good. Children can play on the newer playground equipment and they even have skateboarding ramps.Nice scenery as well.
