So my review is going to be split- As far as my son going there he had an absolute blast. The workers were extremely friendly and very helpful. They take good car of the kids and make the experience a lot of fun for all of them. The fields are beautiful and the parent dugouts offer a great view to watch the games. The experience is something that will last a lifetime. Now as far as the sleeping quarters for the kids- GROSS. The rooms are extremely musty and the beds they slept on were nasty- most of the beds were ripped or torn. The bunk house looked like a concentration camp and the bathrooms fro them were no better. We stayed at the All- Star village resorts on site for the convenience... well that was as far as it went- it was extremely convenient to get to the games and the ease was nice- A lot of walking so be prepared but that is fine with me. The rooms at the ASV were so dated I felt like I was having a flash back to the 80s. Dirty extremely dated bathrooms. Old tubs, old tile. The bedroom was cramped and not layed out properly. I had to move the TV out of the cabinet to watch it from my bed. There was a huge red stain on the 20 year old carpet. Mismatched light bulbs in the ceiling fan of different wattage.. None of the electrical sockets were able to hold iphone chargers. For the amount of money you pay to stay at the resorts- and the resort word is used very lightly. You would think that at some point over the last few years the rooms would be updated. This isnt a cheap trip by any means and the fact that they dont modernize anything was a disappointment. The staff that worked at the hotel was outstanding and extremely helpful. They were able to recommend restaurants and where to go for things we needed. All in all I would recommend the experience for playing there - but book a room offsite and stay away from the food - there are cheaper options and rooms from this decade that will make the experience better
Okay, beautiful park and friendly staff, that’s 2 stars. But seriously, 5 star reviews?? We arrived at check in time and found a dirty room. That could happen, they are very busy. Six hours and two phone calls later, the room was still not cleaned. Eventually that was resolved. The next issue, the seal on the toilet broke and every time it flushed water came gushing out between the tank and toilet. We’re talking multiple bath towels to mop up the water. Called the office who sent someone over and we were told they would be back with maintenance. Three hours later, nothing done. If it had just been the hard beds and the incredible price tag I would say it was worth it because of the location but there is just no way this should be going on at a place that makes as much money as this one does.
So obviously you will be 12 y/o if you stay here and the staff is mostly really chill. It is a great time there and I will remember it for the rest of my life. 10/10 great experience
Very convenient but they need to do a better job of cleaning the rooms. Lots of dust and there was even coffee in the coffee pot when we checked in. The bathrooms and showers for the kids and coaches are disgusting so having a parent or spouse be is ideal for showing and restroom breaks. That convenience bumps the rating from a 2.5 to three.
This suppose to be about the children yet the staff treat both the children and coaches very rude! The umpires are treated like Gods, what I dont understand is that we pay the umpires to be here yet they are given rides to every game then given a ride back to their rooms, when their hine parts should walk, they are at work we are paying customers. There are tractors here but are not used; these should be constantly used throughout the day to transport coaches and player to the games; the walk is roughly a half mile to some of these fields and these boys and coaches are carrying gear! Lastly the RUDE staff is awful! I believe If someone treats the staff rudely they should be asked to leave and If the staff is rude they should be fired, we are paying for an experience NOT for an attitude. Again nothing is special about these baseball fields, we are paying for the experience and last I ran your ruff numbers of at lease 1.5 million a week this place can do a lot better by its customers. Come on guys!
