Allison at Metro Stars is fabulous. Her knowledge, experience, and professionalism is exactly what they needed. Thank you Allison for bring your southern charm to west O! Many parents appreciate you!

My older daughter previously took classes at Premier. We now live out west and signed our younger daughter up for classes here back in August. The facility is new and nice but poorly staffed and run. We initially were in a Monday night class. The coaches were constantly changing and our daughter was never provided a tracking sheet until I inquired with the front desk twice. A friend of our was having a good experience in another class on another night so we decided to switch to a Tuesday night class. After multiple weeks of watching her class be a free for all with again different coaches every week, we left. When I brought my concerns to the front desk attendant on two separate occasions I was told it was really hard keeping the classes staffed since they were relying on high school students to teach.

My kids LOVE their classes at Metro Stars. The instructors are great with the kids, very knowledgable and super kid-friendly. Besides the classes, my kids also love coming to Open Gym.

We have been members for years. We have gone to both locations and love the facilities and staff. The buildings are always clean, safe, and inviting. The staff is very friendly, safety focused and provides both teaching and leadership to all kids. Amazing!

This past fall I was in Omaha for a family reunion and was looking for a location to host a birthday party for my daughter, I needed a place that was appropriate for ages 2 - 15 as we would have friends and cousins joining us. I settled on Metro Star Gym for the party, and was blown away by how great everything was. Coming from out of town I was only able to see photos, I was really impressed when I finally saw everything in-person, very bright, safe and very clean. I worked with the Staff both via email and phone to help arrange everything, the staff was very prompt with communication and by the time it was the party day everything ran seamlessly, they even were able to accommodate the range in ages which was helpful. I was really thrilled with the cost I felt it was appropriate for the activity as well as affordable for the size of group we had.

Great facility and friendly staff! Weve been customers for several years, starting when our kids were in preschool, and our kids still look forward to class every week. We feel Metro Stars has done a great job building a safe environment for kids to be active and learn, and theyve done a great job keeping the facility well maintained and clean.

I am here to share how wonderful the experience at Metro Stars Elkhorn has been for my daughter and our family! My daughter has tried gymnastics at a few different places in the Omaha area and this gym is the one that stuck! My daughter is 10 years old and in beginner girls and has learned SO much in the short time she has been enrolled! We are so happy with the class sizes, the teachers, and the entire staff! She is looking forward to trying out rec comp team as soon as she is able to join!As for my feelings as a parent about Metro Stars Elkhorn, it couldnt be any better! The ease of registering was great, cost for the class is spot on, and the communication with the teachers and staff is unlike any other. I dont have any concerns with speaking to a staff member regarding my child because I know they have her best interest at heart and treat her like she is their own!I know not all gyms are the same and I know not all kids learn the same or like the same things but if you are willing to give Metro Stars a chance, I am highly confident that you will be extremely pleased!!!Thank you to all at Metro Stars Elkhorn!!!!

Let me start by saying I am comparing MS-Elkhorn to MS-Lavista. Lavista is by far the better choice & experience for my family. When my family moved out west, we decided, for convenience purposes ONLY, to switch to the Elkhorn location & it has been a terrible experience. Other than a much bigger & newer facility, Metro Stars Elkhorn has fallen short on every other (much more important) aspect of gymnastics for my daughters.1. One of my daughters (age 9) was injured during open gym. No phone call from anyone working, my daughter chose to sit out for most of the open gym afterwards with no one checking up on her throughout her time there. I only found out about the injury once I picked up my daughter afterwards, from her & not an employee. She now refuses to participate in open gym at Metro Stars & prefers Airborne for open gym even though its smaller -her words.2. The lack of consistent coaches. My 8 year old daughter had different coaches almost every other time she was in...coaches who seemed disengaged, didnt know their gymnasts names or skill levels, & certainly didnt seem to coach throughout the session. My daughter improved more at the Lavista location in less than one year by her coaches challenging her in class, telling her what she needed to improve upon, & communicating with us as parents. When we sought advice for how to practice at home, the coaches at the Lavista location gave us time and good suggestions. I never once received any direct communication from a coach at Elkhorn & had I asked them after the class, Im assuming they wouldnt have been able to give feedback given they were unaware of my daughter, who she was, or her skill level (again the coaches changed all the time). When I did ask for skills feedback, I was directed to the parent portal which I logged in to several times throughout her year at Elkhorn. According to the parent portal, she was hardly ever tested & only after pressuring the coaches at Elkhorn to update her skills in the portal did I see any feedback at all (again only sparingly). The only coach who seemed to engage with my daughter was a student of mine. All the other coaches seemed annoyed, overwhelmed, and just going through the motions. The Lavista coaches knew my daughters name, were excited to see her arrive everyday, asked about her sisters & school etc. They made her feel like she belonged. The Elkhorn location made her (and us as parents) feel like just another tuition bill. If you are going to advertise the use of a parent portal-it should be updated.3. Communication is atrocious. I have emailed, left voice messages, & have never once had someone pick up the phone during the day or evening or return phone calls in a timely manner. I understand coaches/staff are busy during classes, but returning phone calls is not only common courtesy, but good business. I am actually waiting to hear back on two voicemails at this moment, one from over 24 hours ago & one from over 3 hours ago.4. I dropped my daughter off at a Back Handspring clinic today. First of all, the initial time the clinic was scheduled was from 11-12. I signed my daughter up for this clinic in the spring. Apparently the time was changed (and misprinted in their summer brochure) to an earlier time & I was never notified. My daughter stood around in the waiting room for over an hour without a single employee asking what she was there for. Literally, stood by the window without ever being questioned. She also mentioned no one was around for her to ask for help. Last straw for this family.Im not the type of person to complain & certainly not the type of person to write & post reviews. I teach my kids that not all things in life will go as planned & to try to make the best of each situation. As a coach myself, I told my daughter that to really improve she should build on what she learns at her classes at home. We have a beam that she practices on & is constantly practicing in our basement-despite this negative experience.I am glad we are done with MS-Elkhorn.

This place can be hazardous to little kids as my daughter experienced. While majority of the kids are polite and good behavior, some larger boys are problematic. My 3 year daughter was jumped on in the pit by a 8 yr+ boy almost two times her size. She was literally scared and suffered badly. I had to brought her to Hospital Emergency to check up. Too bad the management allows parents drop in 8+ kids without staying there to supervise and the staff doesnt do a good job monitoring these larger kids.

We have absolutely ADORED our time at Metro Stars, starting with Open Gym when my children were only a few months old! The facilities are clean, the staff are kind, caring and knowledgable, and there are MANY options in choosing equipment and fun things to try. We have also booked Metro Stars for two birthday parties and have been extremely impressed with the time allowed, the compassion and energy from staff, and the facilities for our celebration. TERRIFIC business, both in La Vista and Elkhorn!

Great facility, poor staff. Coach not willing to help in class and tells a student not to ask her again. If you are not willing to help a young 5 year old asking for help, you need to find a new job. Way to riun an experience for her.
