We had wedding reception Sunday 9-6-2020 for my son and daughter in law. Chris K. Catering manager went above average coordinating everything with rescheduling due to Covid virus. They accommodated every need and made sure safe for everyoneThe bartender, cook, all staff were great even the maintenance staff made sure air conditioning was working. Food was exceptional even picky kids loved it making several trips for foodGreat time was had by everyone. I would highly recommend planning any event there. Thanks Chris and Horsemans Park for your hospitalityMargaret Cheuvront
I stopped by the park to place a bet on the Derby and intended to go to a shareholders meeting in Omaha. Instead I met a man who taught me how to place a bed, and I spent the day enjoying his company. Thank you for a memorable day.Omaha is a terrific City, the mint julep‘s we’re good, though they did give me a headache, the food was great, the information booth staff was full of welcoming people, as was George in Security. The waitress staff was the only disappointment but getting to spend time with locals from Omaha was worth more than being a part of something I could see online. Yes I missed the Berkshire Hathaway meeting. I contribute that choice to me!!
We went for breakfast on the weekend. There wasnt much to choose from for breakfast but once it arrived it was delicious. The waitress was nice though. We didnt get our food until 10:40ish. We ordered maybe at 10:05 because they dont take orders until 10:00am
Live races and beautiful horses. Food and huge building make it pleasant and room for social spacing.
Went to opening day. This was the first time at this park. It was a lot of fun. Much more orientated to families than the larger parks I’ve visited. In a way it reminded me of the Triple AAA ballpark compared to a MLB park. Access was very reasonable. Plenty of food and drinks. At first It was a bit confusing as to how to use their machines used to place bets. There are two main parking areas during racing season. The main being on the east side of the park. The second on the west side of the track. This one did provide a bus if you did not want to walk.To exit the main lot. There’s only 1 exit. They should ad a second east of the current one. All traffic exiting is guided east. Take 60th south to Harrison or north to I80 / L Street. This season looks like a lot of fun. We’ll be back.
Good food. And is large enough to self distance
Excellent food. Service nice.
Very good food. Won one race but nothing on the pickles.
A few days late with all that is going on. I write reviews for most places I eat. Good or bad. (Review in my husbands words) I am sad to have to write a horrible review for your food on St. Pattys day. It was cold, the potatoes were soggy and mushy, corned beef was dry and the cabbage was burned. And it was overpriced for the portion. I can eat about anything, but I threw it out. My daughter said the fries that she got were good.
Its a great place to race your horses. Also the staff and personnel and everybody involved were very helpful.
This is a great place! Fun atmosphere, amazing staff and their club house is a wonderful place to host a party.
Great atmosphere, the staff is top notch always a great time. Horsemens is good for a date night especially live racing, great with family and friends for a night out. Test your skills and curve that competitive edge at Horsemens
Cold beer, good food, and clean.
Good place if you love horses and food (they dont serve horse)
Service was a little slow, good was good.
Great food for moderately low prices, good Value and service
I would never go back on Family Day. No seating, understaffed, long lines and parking is nightmare. It literally took an hour to exit the parking lot because there’s only one exit point (where you enter). Such a shame since it could have been a wonderful time with the family. We were especially excited about seeing the ostriches run, but only got to see from far far away. I hope they fix some of these issues in the future.I do plan to come back on a regular live race day and hopefully these days will be better...
The food and service were both great, will absolutely be back again!
Had very polite and friendly staff who were very helpful explaining how to read the race sheets.
Great private party venue. I had no idea they even offered it until last night.
Horsemen’s Park is probably my favorite place in Omaha. Betting thoroughbred horse races is exciting and challenging. Horsemen’s has a restaurant that serves food similar to what you would find at a sports bar with one difference. Horsemen’s prices are lower. Many people that have no interest in horse racing come there to dine. I am there at least once a week. The staff is fantastic, a lot of nice people work at Horsemen’s. They have a large parking lot and except for a few special days there is always room for customers. It is not a small place, there are three bars in the building.
Was there for the ostrich races memorial day weekend and it was very very crowded. My daughter and grandson stood in line for hot dog meals and there were no hot dogs when they got up there
This is the premier midwest paramutual betting place. Food is great. Wide selection of drink options and great staff.
Beerfest was fun. So hot though. Need more food vendors and games / shade
Great service and great food
Great simulcast facility, ok food at decent prices
Nice enough. Good place to play the ponies. They have live racing on certain dates that can be fun.
Nice place to go, but they charge to get in at live horseraceing, have to reserve tables. I think thats gouging the people. otherwise they have good food, plenty of seating. The one thing they should do (all the business on Q st) Is put in sidewalks. It is dangerous to walk.
The fun the excitement and lets not forget the winning!
Camel and Ostrich races today. Not enough shade for anyone. Very hot and sunny today. Inside so packed you cant move and just as hot as outside
Actually only go there to bet on the horses for the Triple Crown races but eat there quite often. Have ordered many different things and not had a bad meal yet love the taco Tuesdays with the deep-fried shells cant wait to try the ribeye special night
We went there to eat. We had heard the food was really good. We had the special. It was just okay, but it was inexpensive. May go back to try the prime rib on Thursdays.
Wonderful food and service!
Way too busy but is was family fun day. Long line wait times. Lack of shade, seating, and decent veiw for the kids to watch the ostriches race.
Love the employees
It was really good! Food was good and our server was super nice. Great experience.
I normally do not leave any review whether bad or good, but this whole experience left a very bad impression for our family. We had a difficult time trying to get drinks without long, long lines and no control of the lines. In fact, we decided to pass on drinks because of the situation. Traffic was the worse I have ever seen. No traffic control and could not leave the lot. Sat in line for over an hour and a half to get out. I would highly NOT recommend this for entertainment.
Big ole barn of a simulcast outlet. Few live races each year. Decent food usually
Awesome time it was my first time at a horse race. I even had a little beginners luck
Always have fun there everybody seems to be nice who doesnt like to watch horses run and dont bet stupid
Food was great right along with service
Pretty good food. Philly could use a little work. But over all tastey.
As l remember the food was good. My family enjoyed the keno. Our drinks were not bottomless, for a restaurant thats odd. But for folks hanging around gambling l understand not having free refills. I think if they had free refills, or maybe just one for folks eating that might make it a 5 in my eyes. As l remember we spent over $75 on meals and yet no free refills? We will probably be back but a lot less often.
One of the nicest places in the entire town. The place never disappoints you. Its always fun to be there.
Enjoyed the day with live racing, beware of the Keno operation, attendant some how putting you in games that already started.
Food is good, alcohol is cheap! If you like horse racing you will love Horsemans! TVs are sorta outta date but lots of room to find a decent one. Odd hours during the week. Call ahead. Met the manager Chris super nice guy, took care of us, and even gave us some betting tips! Thanks Chris!
Went to lunch. Food and service was good
I was at Horsemans Park. Had a salad for dinner. Good size salad. Getting assistance ordering and requesting additional fluids was a challenge.
Table service was slow. Food was tasty.environment was very noisy. Parking was few and long wait.
Took our grand baby to the emu camel horse races she loved it
Bad management but great employees. The proce changes and changes to the scheduling has angered a ton of loyal customers.
Very polite stage friendly mood all the time
Great times racing at this track. Good fun for the whole family.
Went for the family day event and it was terrible. Not enough shuttles and had to walk from Ralston Arena. Once we paid to enter, was unable to find any seating, even standing was 6 person deep against the rails and impossible for a child to see anything. Tried to get a water and took 45 minutes in line on a hot day. Way understaffed, totally disorganized and wont be attending an event here again.
I love this place, just dont go there for special events. NO PARKING,, LONG LINES,, NO ROOM,,
Nice atmosphere, good prices, and great service.
Food is decent for type of establishment minus the fact its the same menu since they opened
First time there looks great just to many people this time will check it out again
Awesome place. I dont even gamble, but the food and drinks were super reasonable and the atmosphere is great. Might figure out this horse racing thing at some point.
Its a horse track what would you expect, however Hi-Fi Hangover played after the races, for people not from the area (in my opinion theyre the best band in the area). It was good, Midwest people just trying to get past winter in May. Dancing, talking and drinks.
Bathrooms constantly smell/messy, food is decent and the waitresses are pretty good. I only come here when dragged out or for live racing.
Great food, especially the veggie quesadillas! Prices are great for food and drink, fun place to spend some time at.
Great fun, good food, plenty of t.v.s and betting counters, dont take all your cash!
Good food
Went there on Family Day for the ostrich and camel races yesterday. It was sooo crowded. There was no place to sit. It took 45 minutes waiting for the 2 measley shuttles they had running to and from the track to Ralston Arena parking lot. We finally gave up waiting for the shuttle and decided to walk the 0.8 mile to the track. We saw the shuttle arrive to pick up the riders 3 minutes after we gave up on them, but we still managed to beat the shuttle to the track by 35 minutes! So difficult to see the races due to the crowd. It was a 30 minute wait to get a refreshments. It was also a 30 minute wait line to place a bet. Needless to say Horsemans was totally unprepared for the size of the crowd. A total nightmare getting to and leaving the grounds. We gave up after 3 races and walked back to Ralston Keno and lost our money there!
The food is actually very good. Facility is open year round for events and simulcasting.
Great atmosphere overall for simulcast horse racing and the staff is fantastic!!!
Had an AWESOME experience and What packed place. Will go again.
Why go to a sports bar when you can enjoy everything here...but this is a place you have to see for yourself...you wont be disappointed.... especially during the horse racing events.
A good time cop the buzz now were up for evening walk at midnight the only thing else do at midnight besides you go for a walk okay see you all
Love the people so MUCH FUN
The food here is always amazing!! Had a great time with the live racing. You had to have someone.guard your table if you wanted to go outside to watch the live racing though.
Went in tonight to have a early dinner with my mom and kids. The food was not the best. Taco salad was way so greasy that the plate was covered in grease. Fries were over cooked. The waitress took her time to come take our order. ( Was not busy ) she never once came over to check on us after we got our food. I have been there many times and this was by far my worst experience.
Marty Hughes memorial race.. excellent venue
Spacious, Comfortable, & Clean... Nice Place to Watch & Wager on Simulcast Horse Racing!!
Good job on a busy day. We were there for the 2018 Kentucky derby and everything went well. Best experience here in a long time. Good job Mike Newlin !
Great place to watch horse racing and have a great dinner..
Great atmosphere, helpful staff, great fun!
Nice place to hangout with friends. Staff is great! Love the food and drink specials
Had a private party in the club house and it was great! No complaints
Best waitresses in town, at beautiful Horsemens Park
Great food ... A bit on the high side...
Great place fun atmosphere! Service Great!
Hot but very busy ostrich race was fun
Service is always a little slow. But food and beer are good.
Good food and friendly staff. I was there for the last day of live racing at the track for the yearHad a great time and enjoyed the sport of kings.
It was awesome!!. I won a little bit.. #13!!.Kay Eggers I saw you there!!
Great place for the Nebraska Beer festival!
We always seem to have a good time there. Winning would be fun. Maybe, sometime.
Very large driving range with many flags and cones to swing away at. Reasonable prices nice staff. Wind at your back.
I have not been to Horsemans Park in many years but I had a really delightful day with the red hat group I wish more restaurants in Omaha had such wonderful service and really really good food at such a reasonable price I highly recommend going there.
Good cheap food! Great bartenders!
Fun place for the races! Nice facility and a good selection of food and drinks.
Service was great and the crispy chef salad was delish. Perfect portion size.
Stevie was very friendly and the food was awesome
Not very busy. Hate paying entry fee. Used to go alot now maybe 5 or6 times a year
This is kinda an uncovered gem. I talk to many people who have never been here. But, the food is good, service friendly, and fun atmosphere with races being televised on 80 to 100+ screens.
Its a good place to go & have meals & have fun. Just dont spend too much
