Incredible selection! Very knowledgeable staff and very friendly. Best freshwater and salt water assortments Ive ever seen. They have tons of tank accessories and a great selection of new and used tanks. Also my son threw up on their floor and a staff member was incredibly kind and got us towels and cleaned up the mess on the floor herself, which made a pretty mortifying experience survivable.Disclaimer: I havent bought anything from this store so I cant speak to that process or the quality of the fishs health

I adore aquatic life so fish freaks store is awesome and educated. Love seeing all the life in the aquariums and they know their stuff. My Goldie Mollies had babies and took them there so they could find good homes. They buy fish but we just donated...lol. Always friendly and eager to assist. Even helped me keep one of my beauties from dying with excellent advice.

Been here on 3 separate occasions and all 3 times not enough staff to assist customers. Was in store the last occasion desirous of purchasing fish. Forty-five minutes later finally left because I could not get helped. Large selection of both fish and equipment. Popular store. If you have a couple hours to wait for service nice place.

The owner and his employees are not bull*******, most have been doing this a long time and know what they are talking about. Duh, theyre fish freaks!!! Got the freaks part right, it feels like buying a car at a buy here pay here lot, everything is Let me go back and check with the sales manager.I went in to buy an item that is price controlled per a MAP agreement, fine I understand they can not discount that manufactures items.I try my hardest to support brick and mortar stores, especial those willing to stock the niche products, so much so that I drove from Lincoln just to buy this item.I have a $35.00 in store credit I wanted to use on this $800.00 item but they wouldnt allow it, nuff said.To the reply: And there is the freaking insanity. I wasnt asking for the price to be discounted I was asking for the thirty-five dollars of mine that you guys are holding be applied to a purchase.

When I saw this store on my trip I just had to go see the store and I was amazed of how clean the store was and how much space there was. This store is the best fish store Ive ever visited unfortunately Im from Minnesota and I dont think I can visit this store anytime soon

This store is a reason that I try to go to specialty stores when there is an option. The staff will help you get everything you need for your setup, and do not try to push a product because of its brand. Dont be afraid to ask questions because they want to make sure you get what you need and that you are satisfied

They had some neat fish and merchandise but that’s it!! Customer service was HORRIBLE!! Waited to buy some fish, no one helped! The manager person ( I think he was the manager) saw us waiting, nope, didn’t offer to help!We Asked Questions about products and the worker looked at us like we were from another planet. Do not plan to shop there again.

Best selection of fish in the area, and staff are very friendly and helpful. It’s fun just to look around, even if you’re not buying anything. Only thing I don’t like are the prices. I pay about twice as much there as I would to buy the same fish at a chain pet store, but the tanks and fish are much healthier, so I’d say it’s worth it.

I had a great experience to Fish Freaks again. Its my go to fish store in Omaha for any immediate need. In todays case I stopped by to window shop and decided to get an algea scraper as my new fish tank location gets a lot of sunlight. The friendly staff asked about my fish tank needs and suggested I also get a pelco. They advised me on a good fish that will work well with both my tank and the fish stocked. Attached photos are of a fresh water puffer and a shark in an egg sack ready to watch.

Always been great in the past. Came in over my lunch hour to get some fish for my office tank and could not get help. Waited n waited... gave up. Lots of people standing around. One guy scrambling trying to get everyone taken care of while others were being lackadaisical. Disappointing.

This place is amazing! The staff here have tons of knowledge on the variety of fish they have. There is a huge selection of fish to chose from, they have some weird and unique fish that you couldnt find anywhere else. This place is better then Pet Smart when it comes to fish. The tanks are cleaned and you can see, the tanks arent overcrowded. I defiantly recommend this place if your planning on owning an aquarium.

Very cool store! Tons of amazing creatures and set-ups that make you wish you had a bigger home just to have a bigger tank! The staff is friendly and helpful. One lady in particular (I feel awful that we didnt catch her name, but she was a younger girl with short reddish brown hair and glasses) was absolutely amazing! She had clearly done her research and shared a bunch of awesome info with us about salt water creatures, and starfish specifically. I would absolutely recommend Fish Freaks to anyone who is serious about setting up or stocking a tank.

Normally we have an absolutely amazing time visiting this store, today not so much! The customer service was lacking and we are extremely disappointed as we have spent a lot of money here buying fish tanks and fish - all that has been amazing quality. The poor customer service we received today definitely wasn’t appreciated and at this point we probably won’t return. Very snotty. Not ok. The only person who was friendly with a customer service positive attitude was the owner.

Pops buys from this place all the time, hadnt ever been in person and by the nine its an excellent venue. Staff was amicable and helpful, variety was stellar in comparison to any other pet store in the area. Easy to find, worth at least a brisk browse to even the more avid aficionado.

So I bought a tank from these guys yesterday. Late last night I took the tank out of the box to find that the back bottom corner was broke. I was horrified. I was so worried that I was going to be told that I had done it in transportation or something like that and that they was not going to do anything. I literally lost sleep over it. I called them when they opened and I was put through to the owner who apologized and said that they would swap it out. Made my day! Things happen so I wasnt mad at them I was just very worried about the situation. It was alot of my hard earned money. Its not the things that happen that define a company but how they handle those situations. These guys handled this situation as I would expect any reputable company would and took care of their customer. This is the second tank I have bought from these guys and if in the market again I will definitely check them out again. Thanks again!

Best fish store in the area hands down! Staff is always friendly and willing to answer questions. They can order in just about anything. They have layaway and financing available. I spend about an hour each visit.

I havent gone often in the past, but every time Ive gone, theyve been in a different location. This one is by far their greatest location. Very spacious and a huge variety of fish. I bought some firemouth cichlids from them & they are absolutely rocking the look of my living room tank. Would recommend to anyone that they buy their fish from here only.

Theyre fish are way over priced and so are most of their tanks they have a large selection but its not really worth it to pay twice as much and if there is something special you want other stores will do a special order for you and its still less than fish freaks. The only thing that is definitely a good deal there is the plants but on the other hand Nebraska aquatic supply is just as good and everything else is more reasonably priced as well so why stop at two different places. Just really disappointed that they think they are so much better than everyone else that they can charge so much more. Just not my cup of tea.

If you need a local fish store that is willing to answer questions and takes a legitimate interest in helping you in your hobby then this is the place for you. They actually care about their customers and do whatever they can to show it. Whether you are just starting out or seasoned in the hobby theyll be there to assist.

Large selection of fish and aquarium supplies. Took awhile to get service and the person seemed rushed. Bought a dwarf pleco that died the next day. Not sure if its worth the price when I can get the same at PetSmart or PetCo

I went there to get some syndontis petracolas and they had some and after 45 minutes waiting for someone to help me they finally came and I told the gentleman I would like syndontis petracola and green phantom pleco he said he would bag them and have them up front after grabbing some drift wood I pay for everything only to drive an hour and a half to get home to find I didnt get a syndontis petracola at all I got an upside down catfish big difference between the 2 and big price difference and of course I couldnt go back due to them being closed if your going to sell fish listen to what is being asked for giving people the wrong things makes them not want to come back and to the gentleman wearing the hat standing at counter on phone then went and sat on couch how unprofessional the things you say in front of customers while you are on the phone its a business not your house you want to stay open that should be addressed it was offensive to people I heard them say it first hand

Great customer service and an excellent and broad fish and plant selection. It also appears they take great care of their fish; the tanks look excellent.If anything, just stop in to take a tour. It is like visiting a public aquarium, the tanks and fish are so fun to look at.And like I mentioned, customer service is great. I brought one of my sick fish to these guys and they cared for her for over a month. Not only are they considerate, but they all know so much about the trade. And if one of them doesnt know the answer to your questions, they will find someone else there who is an expert in that field.A special shout-out to Joey! (I hate to pick favorites . . . but that just happened). You rock gurl.Keep it up guys. Kaila and I will be back soon :)

The employees are nice, but their fish are not in good health. I have purchased five fish from them in the last year and only one of them survived beyond a week. The last fish I purchased died within three days and introduced ich to my tank (although I know this is partially my fault for not quarantining). I will never visit this store again.

I went there with my husband. We love the fish hobby and we were looking at other fish shops, from our favorite store. Looking for all options. There selection was very interesting. Great looking store. The reason I rate them so low and am nervous purchasing from there is that I saw a total of 5 different tanks with dead fish in them. I don’t know if this is common, but I would advise everyone to watch out for those. Sadly we left with out anything. Disappointed, because it was a nicely stocked shop.

Wow! Loved this place. Great variety of fish and all their tanks were extremely clean and healthy. I loved how many fresh and salt water fish were available. The only complaint I have is it was difficult to identify who worked there and who was fish shopping. Name tags would have helped tremendously.

I could spend hours (and hundreds) there alone. Incredible assortment of fresh and salt water fish, invertebrates, and plants.If I could give 6 starts I would, because after leaving I emailed the store late in the evening about finding a tank, and the owner responded right away. Thats going well above and beyond!I will be getting all my fish from here.

Great store, fantastic customer service. I was only setting up a planted nano shrimp tank but they treat you like youre spending a whole lot more. Staff are very knowledgeable and passionate about the hobby. If theres an area an assistant isnt specialized in they dont hesitate to involve someone else to help. Saying that, theres no hard sell, youre also left alone to browse. Tank looks great as do the plants, and the shrimp are vibrant.

Best Locally owned Fish Store in Omaha. Many employees attentively asked me if I needed help with anything while I was there. Everyone is extremely knowledgeable and if they dont have what your looking for, they will get it. I wish I lived in Omaha and could visit there more often. They have a Facebook page where you can message them if you have questions and they are always willing to help (FREE ADVICE!!, YAY!!!!!!!!)
