Staff is very professional, yet consice and clear. Cool hands on projects and tons of information. I enjoyed myself there, so if you havent gone, take the whole family, all ages can enjoy this space, and give yourself at least an hour to explore. And its free!
Awesome Staff! Great learning stations & activities for children! I had my 6y.o. Granddaughter & my 10 y.o. Grandson for the Weekend of 7/26-7/28/2019, we saw this place on the way to somewhere else and opted to go check out the Wet Science Center. My Grandbabies COULDNT get enough of the Scavenger Hunt. We had did some cool artwork & before I knew it they had left the classroom rushing back to do more at one of the learning stations. Kudos & Thanks so much for putting a smile on our faces. I love seeing children enjoy learning experiences.
This is a great place to bring the kiddos, especially on the many rainy Washington days.
Fun place for adults and kids. The best part is that it is free! They often have special events on Saturday. There is also a tour of the plant each quarter.
The fourth graders I went with had a great time with the many stations that held an array of interactive learning tools and games that kept their attention and made them not want to leave and anxious to return! Even I learned a lot. Well informed and mannered stay that deals with busy children like professionals! Recommended for all ages and attention spans!!
What a wonderful place to teach kids about the precious resource of water. Hands on and very interactive. My 6 year old LOVED it!
We got there just an hour before closing, but it was during a coastal wolves event. Just in that time, my kids had a lot of fun with all the wolf stuff. AND ITS FREE!!! Definitely going again!
Fun, educational, and environmentally friendly, what more could you possibly ask for??? Had a blast taking my nieces and nephew with fun crafts, educational and exploritory activities that promote STEM development. Did I mention that its free? We spent over 3 hours here and all of the kiddos (between the ages of 5 and 12) were thoroughly entertained the entirety of their visit.
Small space, but really worth the stop. It doesnt take long to explore the whole place (its one floor). It had lots of informative displays and plenty of interactive but educational areas for kids.
Took my three grandsons for a “boys day” . It was fun for this old grandpa too!
The gift that keeps on giving, and its such a beautiful Jewel of Olympia, you must visit, you will not be disappointed.
Interesting but very small and not much here. Good to bring your kids to for quick cheap entertainment
Learned a lot about where our water comes from and how we treat it! Very educational and fun
This is the free indoor water conservation and education center. If you didnt get enough here you can walk across the street to the more in depth hands on kids museum. I feel that either place is for 12 and under. I think teens would get bored quickly. Very informative. Great for a homeschool day or field trip.
We went on a whim, it is geared more for younger kids, but my 11 year old nephew had a blast with the hands on activities. There was a scavenger activity where he had to look for a station and participate in an activity. At the end of the hunt, he turned his work in, and got a prize. Then he did some art work, built a paper whale, over all a terrific visit.
Very interactive, educational...my kids love the scavenger hunts! Wonderful community resource.
Very small, but very informational. I dont believe this is a good place for young kids to learn, even though it has activities to learn about the water treatment process. There is an awesome interactive calculator to show how much water is used and consumed with an amazing visual representation to put consumption into perspective.
Fun little place to visit next to the childrens museum. I would consider stopping by as a supplement but not as the main destination. Very educational and interactive.
What a great place to take your kids lots of knowledge
Cool place to learn about the water treatment process and water conservation
For free, its alright.... there isnt much to do for young kids. Pretty cool fountain up front.
This was fun. I think its better for older kids than younger ones.
Awesome place to visit on a rainy Saturday. Right next door to the childrens museum but its free! Lots of hands on exhibits for all ages. Staff is super friendly and helpful. They also often host workshops and events on different local topics for the environment.
Both my nieces enjoyed themselves. The funny thing is both times it rained bad.
Fantastic place! Great, interactive, hands-on exhibits and games. A wonderful, free experience just off downtowns main street. The staff was awesome, helpful, and genuine. We will definitely cone back when were in the area.
It was a cute little quick side trip. Its free and definitely geared to younger kids. My 10 year old was bored.
Hands on activities. Super knowledgeable staff and always something new to learn about water
There isnt a lot to do here but for some reason my kids love it and they stay busy. The staff here are super engaging.
My daughter has been here roughly a dozen times, and although very informative, is pretty small. The activities they to have are pretty engaging. But I feel like it could use a little more.
Great place for public education on water conservation
Excellent exhibition, very friendly staff. Our 6 and 10 years old kids enjoyed and learned a lot!
The LOTT (Lacey, Olympia, Tumwater and Thurston County) communities waste water treatment center has created a great science center about all things water. Every aspect from conservation to jobs in the field is covered in a fun hands on way. It was technical enough that my Middle School age daughter (and I) were engaged, but there were also things that my grandson found fun. On weekends they have interesting sounding family programs, but we were there midweek all by ourselves. The only thing that was tricky, was the parking. The lot is small, so get there early. It also might be good to call ahead to avoid any school groups as the square footage might seem a bit small if a whole bus load of kids was there during your visit.
Free admission! The place is very small. They had a craft room to make your own toys today which we liked. Not a lot to see here so we got bored a little quick but it was free so cant complain. They could do a lot with the place to expand it.
Awesome place for kids! A lot to do and keep the kids happy and entertained. Highly recommend! We will be back for sure!
Went with my friend & her kids and had a blast! Lots of free activities, cool art, very safe & friendly. I even learned some new facts about wooly mammoths!
A Must go, especially if you like science stuff!
Informational and fun for all four of my kids. 10, 8, 4, 3, all of them enjoyed the activities and the scavenger hunts.
It’s free, educational and not very big so I can keep an eye on three kids at a time. Even my 3 year old liked it and reminded me to not waste water when I was doing the dishes :)
The kids love this place.
This is a great place to take children to. As an adult, I wasnt very impressed.
Fun learning experince
Small area but lots of information about water conservation and treatment. Even the bathrooms had signs talking about eco-friendly toilets.
Fun and educational! The gardens were beautiful & the indoor spaces thoughtful and engaging
Its free. Good activities for the kids (a few, not a lot). Always very nice.
Very friendly people working there.
Very child oriented, but still educational for adults.
Cute place, a nice educational indoor activity for kids.
Kids had a good time, will be going back.
We always have fun when we go. Great for toddlers and young children
Fun, educational, free kid friendly spot. Learning about water can be cool.
Cool displays. Very informative.
This was awesome all my grand kids really love it
The kids loved it here, it was smaller than I expected but there is lots to do.
It was educational a few interactive displays geared towards kids and really uneducated adults
Its free admission and they often have amazing science education opportunities on the weekends as well as special sensory friendly hours.
Their website gives the impression that theres quite a bit to see and do while in reality its just a large display in the lobby of the water treatment plant. We did learn a lot abput their treatment process though.
Great time
Join the presentation on space great things here
Good little muesum to learn about water.
Very educational, fun, and FREE!
Bring the kids, but be prepared to be permanently schooled by them about conserving water. A first class education center.
The WET Science Center is a great place for kids to learn about the science behind our water supply and what Thurston County is doing to maintain a responsible, sustainable ecosystem. If you have kids or are a teacher, dont miss it.
Awesome place for kids to learn about the water cycle!
Learned alot
Small but great for kids
Great place for families
I only wish it were bigger.
Nice people
Trash
Awesome education on Public water and waste systems . 5 stars if the center was a bit bigger .
Great place for the kiddos
Friendly staff. Free admission.
