My daughter was left outside after a recess (completely unattended in the public park behind the building). The teacher did not know she was missing. She is 5 years old. My son is the one who recognized she was missing and urged them to find her. No one called to notify me. When I picked her up she was sunburned and terrified. When I called the school to gather more information, no one really gave me a clear response. It’s as if they had no idea. I was even told it had happened before, nonchalantly. I was then told “she probably took her jersey off” and so they had no way to identify her from children visiting the park with their families… Again, she is five years old and this was our very first day there. Horrifying! My daughter reported that no teacher found her, but rather she told a random woman (a mother) on the playground she was lost and was brought back into the building by that mother. God bless that woman!!

Best place ever. Everyone there is so nice and they welcome you. Mr. A.J IS THE BEST HES LIKE A FATHER TO CHILDREN THAT DONT HAVE ONE. HE HAS DONE SO MUCH FOR ME AND MY FAMILY AND ALL THE KIDS THAT I HAVE BROUGHT THROUGH THE BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB. I PRAY THAT MR. AJ STAYS BLESSED.

Awesome place for kids to go after school and play! My kids love it. They get a snack right after school and do art, music, and much more until I get off work. Much cheaper than daycare too! $5 per kid during the school year. Pretty awesome.

My kiddos 10 now... Her 3rd summer.... Loves ir & they have weekly outings...

My children have been going here for years its great to have a safe place for them to hang out with other kids and they do lots of different activities with the kids

Kids cursing,bullying and the teachers don’t even care one teacher told everyone if they don’t play they will get lock out in the sun....

Its a great place for kids to go after school. My daughter loves it.

The BGC is an amazing resource for parents who have a need to find after-school care for their child. They work with many of the local schools to provide transportation. I am amazed at how MUCH the folks that work there and try so hard to provide so much!THEY need MORE resources and help! If you are a local corporation, please consider reaching out to this foundation. The people who work there have huge hearts, tons of patience and desire to provide more! Just like many places these days (especially schools) there is understaffing due to resource drains---and the ones that suffer most, are the children. It would be fantastic to see more staffing to help out these wonderful people who are a god-send!Keep up the amazing work BGCOKC, we all know you are working against a tough system and appreciate your sincere devotion!
