Cosmos Cup 2020 was a complete farce. Some fields were in horrible shape. No full referee crews. Only club linesmen. The referees they did have were underqualified for the age of the games. When I posted a complaint on Facebook, they blocked me. Classy.
Nice complex. Plenty of parking and large bathrooms.
Really nice complex but it needs more bathrooms.
Our team played in the Cosmos Cup U11 division tournament this past weekend. The fields were some of the worst fields I have ever seen and they could not get refs for the game. Extremely poor tournament for the price payed.
Free parking. Concession and restrooms available. Our field was not marked. No bleachers.
Weve been utilizing this soccer complex for over fifteen years with various children, including a couple who played club with the Cosmos. Parking is better than most such complexes. The fields are well maintained. Maybe occasional goose poop. Theres an adjacent park with recreational opportunities via a tiny skatepark, a decent playground with equipment for the children, a fishing pond, walking/running trails, and plenty of spots for leisure possibilities. The restroom situation is limited to one, and maybe two centralized locations. The complex is mostly/largely encompassed by a tall chain link fence. Theres a drop-off zone in the parking areas, with occasional clueless types bogging it up. Whether recreational or competitive soccer is the attitude and mindset, SLSC can accommodate with well trained staff who care. Parent involvement is extremely vital to such success with plenty of volunteer opportunities. With that said, if there exist any question about the competitive level of a competitive environment such as sports, there ought to be a serious consideration to limit participation to the recreational side of involvement, as the two ought never mix and doing so only creates problems for all. The parents are a vital part, with their primary role being only supportive and not unfairly critical of staff who they may be frustrated with or disagree with. Prior to all activities and afterward, all conversation needs to be positive, with emphasis on motivation and encouragement. This can and does result in top level performance. Competitive environments arent for most folks, but physical activity is great for all, particularly if adults are great models of health and fitness and supportive through good example, otherwise the disingenuous attempts will suffer the child. Typically, coaches are partially what parents and participants tolerate. They constantly come and they go. For the most part, theres a proactive approach cultivated at SLSC among the Cosmos. Definitely potentially part of higher level development.
I dont remember this place but I give you a good rating because it is soccer related
Fields are so great and the coaching for the u7 girls has been awesome! Dennis is perfect for this age group!
3rd year parent. Fields are well maintained. Plenty of parking. Water access for players would be nice considering cost to play in club. Fields often close for damp weather conditions. Overall a good soccer club.
My daughter is 13 now and has been playing here since she was 5. We love it here and we love our coach! When family members visit us here who play in other places, they say this soccer field is one of the nicest.
Fun place to take kids. With big slides
Nice fields, good referees, lots of fun competition. Concession stands on site. Bathrooms as well. No dogs allowed. Off of Southwest 119th on the west side of Interstate 44 1 mile down on the south east corner.
Nice, clean and well-maintained fields and park.
The fields are great lots of parking. Concession stand and clean bathrooms. They also have shade trees and picnic tables. Ive been to every soccer field in the okc metro and most in the state, these fields are diffinantly some of the best
The field looked in good condition but the parking lot was trashy. It could definitely use some attention.
I loved playing here for my 14 seasons of recreational
Good parking, public restroom, nice playground. Easy access off sw 119th/I-44. Close to the On Cue for gas/snacks.
Very nice fields, but no bleachers. Plenty of parking, with a nice park right next to it.
