They have good bands often. Its a country folk atmosphere. Several bars and service was good. A second floor overlooks the stage. There are multiple pool tables. Its kind of divey, but I like it.
Cool venue, kind of a drive bar downtown. Reasonable drinks, cool staff. Fine if youre already there but parking is tricky
Bartender was not personable at ALL. It was so crowded there were people pushed up against me the whole time. We paid $15 cover charge and had $170 bar tab. 3 days later, the $170 was posted to my account and I have SIX extra charges of $15 and one charge of $44 that just appeared from the wormy dog.... now I have to wait until they open on Thursday to even call them about it! Super frustrating. Not sure Ill be back. I dont want them draining my bank account again.
Sadly, the Wormy Dog is now closed and some trendy nightclub thing is replacing it. Reflect on all the women who were charmed and flattered in the smoke, and the many fights that graced the pool tables of this awesome place? Let the past die Kylo says....I say No Sir...let it be remembered by the many Oklahoma children consummated after a night at the ol WD!
Well Im definitely in the south! Im from Virginia were I like country music and hang out with my rednecks boys a lot. Im half white half Mexican and even I got the boy u dont belong here look witch made me laugh but oh well some people are just stuck in the past!
Closed now at that location buy a blast cant wait for the new digs
Were from Texas and we were super pumped about going to this place and seeing how OKC does live music. We were EXTREMELY disappointed. The staff was awful at best and the sound wasnt so great. The beer was almost room temp and they served some liquors out of the bar pumps that you spray sodas and mixers out of. (Not sure what you call those things.) When we tried to talk to a manager to let him know how let down we were, he was very indifferent and acted like he couldnt care less about what we had to say. I will NEVER go back to this place. Well stay in Texas where we know how to keep the beer cold and serve with a warm smile.
I have several live albums from here, I could not wait to check this place out. VERY disappointed. Bartenders were rude, whiskey shots were served out of a soda fountain spigot. Couple of beers were not very cold, when I told the bartender, the response felt like I was bothering them. Only salvation was seeing my favorite band...Folk Family Revival. It appeard like the place was under new management and the only thing that mattered was the bottom line. Ill skip the next time Im in town.
Cool place for shows, but it was way too hot inside. Plus the saddles for bar stools were uncomfortable.
Payed $15 dollar cover charge. No beer on tap and no wine. Wife ordered cranberry and vodka and said it was all cranberry juice. Worse part is the place is filthy! Just like the name you probably will end of with worms!
The Alec Baldwin of bars.
