This place is awesome! Devan helped my 3 kids learn to wake board and is an incredible teacher. The place is clean, has a safety focus and is a positive environment for kids. My teenage kids are hooked! We wish we had heard of this place sooner. We will definitely be back. Thanks Wake Zone!!
Went for an event, there were so many ppl there is was so hot other then having to walk through the mud to get to where we were going we had a good time... Would like to come back and check the place out when there is not so many ppl... kinda want to get on that big slide lol but we will see lots of room for improvement...
This place was off the chain! They had plenty of drink stands. They had bathrooms. They had an ATM though it was out real fast, security was on top of things, people were dropping like flies from dehydration and they got them medical attention fast. Parking wasnt to bad either, got in and our out quick enough considering the crowd. Beer and mixed drinks were VERY high tho, like hiway robbery but hey its a concert. Its a beautiful place too! Location is kinda remote which I think is a good thing. Crowd control went well too, kudos to the whole operation, and Im referring to the Excision Concert a few weeks ago. And dont try to go to the convenient store near by after the show because they shut it down due to the fact that the concert goers all shoe up after and over run the place. Clean them out and even start stealing stuff because they dont want to wait, so get gas and smokes and beer and snacks before the show!
Have always had a great experience here always clean very curious people
This was a horrible experience. There were little bits of debris poking out of the ground such as rusted metal and glass shards. Huge fire ants were crawling all around the camping area.If you wanted to cross the street to the parking lot, you had to do so by walking 20 minutes out of your way to go under an extremely questionable bridge. The alternative was getting threatened by the local police with a jaywalking fine.At no time did I feel like I was welcome there. Nor did I feel like there was even a speck of concern for my safety.
Walking through the mud was ridiculous I paid a lot of money to attend this event and I expect lost lakes to make it possible for people to safely walk around without the potential of being injured because they slip in some mud the event was great but the staff and facility could use a lot of improvement.
Venue is Ok. The complex needs to invest in a infrastructure of roads. There is one road in which is the only road out. Now imagine 500+ people leaving at one time. The road becomes a parking lot. If there is a medical emergency getting in or out is almost impossible. So be prepared to wait after a show. The complex is poorly operated and maintained.
The event I attended was super muddy, and I ended up losing my wallet. Some other people that attended the event found my wallet and tried contacting me but I didn’t see it until a week later and they told me they left my wallet with the office so when I contacted the office they said they would mail the wallet back to me and seemed concerned about it which was such a relief. I waited 3 weeks and called them back and they proceeded to act shady about my wallet. They said I misunderstood what they said and that the wallet was in the mail and I would receive it, still just to be patient. I called again and again they acted shady, AGAIN . I never received my wallet back from them - such a disappointment.
I love that there is another outdoor concert venue available in the metro! The grounds are beautiful and able to hold large crowds. My only critiscms are that most of the vendors ran out of food and beer before the concert was over, and the parking seemed to be a bit unorganized because it took awhile to get out after the show. Im sure they will work those issues out in time because I think they only started having concerts recently. Looking forward to the next concert there!
I went for Cannabis cup. It was small with no parking and we had to park over a mile away. We had to wait over two and a half hours to get into it and the listen to their power trip security try and tell people to throw away their personal water bottles. They finally graciously let us keep our water bottles and we got inside where we had to walk yet another half mile to get to the Cannabis section. Horrible venue and poor planning lucky this wasnt an OK fire festival. Looks like a great venue for wakeboarding, but not much else.
Lost Lakes bit off way more than they could chew. There is no way they can handle the Cannabis Cup they failed miserably. A 2-mile walk to the venue from my car then a 3-hour wait in line while Im holding my ticket already. They sold way more tickets than they had room for people. It is a fire hazard and a death trap with that many people. I paid for my ticket and ended up leaving cuz Im not waiting in line for 3 hours open Moore ticket booths
Cannabis Cup was horrible. Although it took 45 minutes to park and somehow I didnt have to pay to park because no one was directing traffic or collecting money. Parked by the box office waited in the vip line for about an hour with a general admission ticket. I didnt see any security and nobody checked me, I just walked right in and enjoyed 311 and dipped out. Horrible planning!!! You even ran out of water. I shouldnt have been able to walk right in without security stopping me. Makes me think twice about my safety. Vendors were on the other side of the lake. I didnt even bother walking around the lake.
Went for the cannabis cup and it was a disaster. Tenth street itself was a parking lot situation because they oversold the event and it wasnt near enough space for parking, or people, no food, no water, and I feel bad for anyone who needed medical attention because it was taking far too much time to get vehicles in and out of the venue.
Didn’t get to go on the beach due to flooding but the wake zone was super rad!
In my opinion. Lost Lakes should have remained lost. If you have children. Dont bring them. They had a rapper with crude and explicit language. There was also a pungent smell of marijuana and alcohol in the air. Very ill set up. Be advised that the children will need to wear life vests just to be allowed in the water. Do not be fooled by the illusion of the front of the park. If you decide to go.. You will understand why the caution.Rates:$10 for parking$10 per individual children to get on splash pad$8 per hour for individual child to remain on splash pad.More rates. Unknown. Our family just left. Not worth it at ALL!!
Went for the cannabis cup and it was clearly not planned thoroughly
Great family friendly place. Awesome events, if you go when the water is open its the closest thing youll get to a beach in Oklahoma. So many activities, youll be here All day. Well worth the money!
$20 parking regardless of how many people are in the car, unprofessional and disrespectful. It rained the 2’nd day of the cannabis cup and the 1/2 mile trek to the venue was muddy and dangerous, I got covered from my feet to my knees from walking as people were trying to violently plow through the mud in shuttles or golf carts. Not handicap accessible. Long wait to get in 3-5 hours, they expect you to stand in the heat but will make you dump out your water bottles at the gate.
Not really a place for young children
Well this place sucks! Be prepared to pay a ton for parking, you need 25 plus tax to get in, then 20 GD more dollars to bring in a cooler. If it was possible to give negative stars, I would give that. Dont waste your time or money on this place.
Love it
Good idea, badly executed. Water looks like chocolate milk, parking is garbage, trash all over the place. The bridge was made out of scrap wood. Clean the place up and invest in some infrastructure it may be a good place.
Definitely one of my favorite venues for concerts in Okc.
Such a horrible venue. Dont bother planning events here.
The venue itself could have been worse but the place needs to have a better way to get to the venue. My boyfriend and I went there last week and they made us walk almost a mile from the parking lot to the inside of the complex because the venue is across a busy highway and is not attached to the property where the parking lot is. You have to walk under an overpass in sand and over little hills and it was hot and humid so this walk was made even worse because of it, especially if you are carrying anything with you. Something really needs to be done about that or there needs to be a vehicle to take people back and forth. There are a lot of hills inside the venue as well so make sure you are wearing comfortable shoes and be prepared for blisters from walking because it is all spread out.
This place is already out pricing their selfs. $10 to park and on barely grass. Every thing there cost extra to do. Would cost a family of 4 just to do the dinky water slide about $100. And you can do it all day but u will quickly be bored after a few trips done the slide. Not really worth it and will be way too priced
Terrible. Barbed wire all throughout property. I fell through a bridge they had built with plywood. Lake is filthy. Money better spent elsewhere. Security was ruthless using excessive force not knowing if they were attacking the right person. No running water for camping. Over all the worse experience Ive had camping and thats saying something. Im an adventurous spirit thats not affaid of dirt.
We went to a concert with tons of people and they only had maybe 16 porta john, nasty, no lights when dark, horrible lines. Place is a cool venue, but not well planned out for big crowds.
Nice ora around the place...
I have been to this place several times. Went to the water park it is a work in progress with many new things happening each year. Also, went to the Gathering of the Juggalos on the last two nights. There was about 5000 tents there. The city police/news media made it out to be way worse than it should have been. They obviously didnt want ICP there and it showed. The police seemed to cause more trouble than anyone else and are also the ones who made people walk for half a mile to get to the park.People need to understand this is a rustic camping area. The lakes were once sand pits for the Dolese concrete company so they are really large ponds. This is not a city pool or city water park. However, it is a great place to meet friends, enjoy some sun, let the kids run in safety and have a great beach experience.
Went to watch a concert here. After spending an hour in traffic to travel 2 - 2.5 miles I lost all interest in even going to the show. There was one cop standing at the entrance, doing absolutely nothing to help direct traffic or move thing along in an organized fashion. Once sitting in traffic and reading reviews of how it was a 1-2 mile hike through sand, mud, and hills to the entrance once you park.. what a joke. If youre going to host large events, spend the time and money to make it organized and an enjoyable experience for the customers or disregard my advise and go out of business. I know my experience was a nightmare and I didnt even make it 5 feet past the entrance.
Absolutely horrible$10 to park$20 all day pass$35 if you want to get on the water slide$35 for an hour to water ski$10 for first hr (8 per hr after) for life jacket rental for kids to even get in the water and water floaty castle. No BYOB because they sell their own. They dont answer the phone. No refunds. No military discount for veterans active duty onlyWhen there is no concert they have freestyle rap. There is almost no space to swim between the landing area of the slide and floaty castle, and duh cant swim in the wake boardside.TLDR Too expensive, not great for kids, too crowded. We will stick to lake thunderbird.
It’s lost lakes.... spacious, awesome environment, been here for 2 daydreams and my only complain was the poor lighting for 2019’s show
Absolutely the worst place to maneuver to enjoy a concert. Was not warned of the 10 dollar parking fee before we got there. Once we were trapped in double lane one way traffic where we couldnt exit, we were informed by a staff member that they needed 10 dollars . We asked why....cause we were unaware....ok. cant turn around.....but parking was in a shady pasture area far away from venue. Once in....2 port a potties for hundreds to use. No one was attending them and no toilet paper. Please, people.....get a plan before you take money from people!!
Huge FAIL on traffic management and unsafe parking ($10 charge)...especially after dark. Astounding lack of planning for egress following an event. Total disrespect for their customers.
As others have said, concert parking was a nightmare. If youre handicapped, stay away. They are not ADA compliant, my wheelchair bound friend was sitting behind a pick-up truck that had a generator running. She couldnt see and I couldnt hear. When I asked where the handicapped area was at, was told there wasnt one. Told them they had to provide for them. Well were new from a man who who only give his name as Howard. No this is the same group that was handling the zoo concerts, they know better. While looking for a place where my friend could see from a security officer got belligerent with me and I asked for his CLEET ID, he refused and his supervisor come over, so I asked for his, he also refused and ran off. Sorry guys if youre working security and anyone asks for your CLEET card you must present it. And as others have said the place was trashy and seeing the men peeing in the lake, well just nope, never again
The most horrific Festival grounds I think I have ever been to on top of the Scorpions the unnecessary spider count the fire aunts in everyones tents... the lake not being properly cleaned.. car parts all over!! You have to watch where youre going at all times.. the uncontrollable dust in your hair, mouth, nose and ears!!! the fact you cant bring in your own drinks into mainstage area because they want you to buy theirs which is ridiculous... seeing as how I paid for camping for 4 nights.. also selling cases of water for $80 that are still warm by the way!!! I came all the way from Michigan and did not enjoy my time what so ever... honestly ruined my trip to Oklahoma for the first time.. and i will never be going back
High times cup was lit
PAINTED FOREST!!!! Was AWESOME.... As usual
Awesome venue
THIS PLACE IS AWESOME I LOBE IT SO DID MY SISTER
Loved the place, me and all my friends will definitely be coming any event that is up next!
Worst venue Ive ever been to. Security were obnoxious and rude. There was rusty barbed wire all over the grounds and the barricade completely broke and cut my stomach. The water fill stations were always empty and whem they did have water it was HOT. Will never return.
I attended the Gathering of the Juggalos Lost Lakes Amphitheater did every single thing that they could to accommodate everybody the city council was shady and tried to make it a bad time I really hope people dont take any of these review seriously because they are all very unwarranted Lost Lakes is a great place with great owners I had an awesome time people dont know where to take their grievances so they take it out on the venue which is sad
Wow, just discovered this place after an invite from friends, kids will love the aqua obstacle course, GIANT water slide and wake boarding course.
If you want to have fun, go somewhere else...
The worst place I have ever been . Setting in the parking lot for 30 minutes not moved. They have no idea what they are doing!!!!!!
My favorite place to go to events.
What a joke!!! It is a hillbilly dump, junk everywhere. Poorly managed.
Best place for concerts in okc
Never come here for a concert. The parking is a god damned nightmare.
Pretty great time, would recommend
Parking lot is an absolute nightmare. Been an hour and still sitting in the parking lot trying to get out
The roads are very rough on a little car like mine but if that is not a deal breaker for you then its a decent place.
There haunt rocks
F@$k you for ruining the gathering.
Adult fun
I CAN HEAR THE NOISE FROM THE JULY 29 2017 CONCERT 5 MILES AWAY ... WHY DOES OKC ALLOW THIS ???
Not worth the money
Beautiful
