Eel Weir State Park

Quiet. Great staff. New playground. Location so you can access Black Lake by boat. No dump station.

One the parks i oversee the booth at/do finances for. Small park, nice location on river. Getting a much needed new bathhouse for next season, has new playground.

We love Eel weir, Its quiet peaceful good fishing. The park staff are friendly and park is well kept. We are so happy with the new playground area hoping it continues with new shower house and electric sites. We have waited patiently for our little slice of heaven to come into the twentieth century

We visited off season . Beautiful location for a winter hike. It would be a nice place to snowshoe or cross country ski. We parked on the main road and walked in . The only other visitors we saw required a tow truck. Beautiful river views.

Great campground, the staff are very accomdating. Nice location on the Oswegatcie River just outside Heuvelton and Ogdensburg. Great fishing access to Oswegatcie River; and if you have a watercraft, Indian River and Black Lake. The convergence of both of these rivers is about a few miles upstream from the campground, good place for night-fishing. This campground is small and is a great choice for those looking for a place thats quieter and less crowded.

It is a very simple camping spot...not very senic and not very big. A good place to fish and get some people together to hang out but terrible for camping...
