This is such a cool place for any dinosaur lover! I didnt post any photos of the outside park just because that ruins some of the fun. The price is very affordable and the museum inside is great! If you like Dinosaurs this is a great stop to make in Utah. It is comparable to Moab Giants of you have been to that. Lots of great areas for kids to play

This place is really cool, especially for kids. They have a lot of artifacts and dinosaurs to see. The fossils and artifacts are in the museum, and the dinosaurs are all outside in a big park area that has a lot of shade and different walking paths. It keeps you entertained for a few hours and the tickets to get in are a really great price. They also do fun activities for the holidays, so we are planning on going back for their halloween event.

Fun and educational! I love wandering the paths and looking at all the life-size dinosaurs, makes it easier to understand what they would have been like if alive, and imagine how they lived. There is also a dinosaur themed playground and some picnic tables. Each dinosaur has an informational plaque/sign with lots of details about that type of dinosaur. I really liked that the signs tell about the ongoing process of scientific discovery, with some signs saying that new discoveries have changed our understanding about the dinosaur, so the existing statue is wrong in certain ways. And other signs stating the knowns, but also making clear that much was not known and the statue was a best guess based on scientists believing the dinosaur was similar to another dinosaur.

*Masks Required * Fantastic place. ️You must purchase your ticket online before entering. The fee feels more like a donation because though theres lots of education and fun, its not an amusement park where youd expect mechanical rides to operate. The digging activities are temporarily closed. My toddler loved it anyway! Wheelchair and stroller friendly.

We visited Ogden’s Dinosaur Museum as part of a Halloween themed exhibit directed at smaller children. You can dress up in costumes and the staff does as well. It replaces trick or treating. You see the indoor portion of the museum and then tour the outdoor holiday lighted dinosaur park. There were sounds of dinosaurs and skiiky lighting and lot of decor themed around Halloween. Geared for small children up to 11. We felt it was a great value at $5 per person and glow stick gifted at every turn by the staff and a trick or treat bag full candy, polished rocks, inexpensive plastic toys and discount cards to local restaurants. It sure was fun and memorable. A hidden gem in Ogden. We will return.

Great place for your kid to run and get energy out while learning a little too. The outside part of the park is our favorite. The inside museum is fun with the animatronic scene but most little kids get a bit scared seeing it for the first time. They have covid precautions in place and while we were there most everyone wore a mask inside. Outside is about 50/50 of people wearing masks.

Most of the actual activities that a child would enjoy are closed. You cannot touch ANYTHING in the building. The Halloween decorations took away from the feel of the museum entirely. Traditional Halloween decorations and dinosaurs do not mix and make the entire thing very confusing for little children. The entire place had a run down feeling to it.I know this place is special to a lot of locals, but I cannot recommend you go here during the pandemic.

This place is great a went a few times when I was younger but it has been many years since my last visit. Amazing how it all came flooding back to me. At the time of this review many parts of the park are closed however. This is mostly in part to Covid19 but it also appears as though they are attempting to renovate several parts. The park does look kind of sad to be honest and could use a face lift, but it is still a very enjoyable experience.

If you are all about dinosaurs or you have kids that love them, then check out this place.. They offer so much in the way of seeing dinosaurs up close. Not only do you get to touch the real bones that are preserved but you can watch scientists work on actual artifacts in their own lab in the building. They also have amazing rocks and stones located inside to view..There are so many dinosaurs outside that you can spend a lot of time walking the trails, going to the gift store, getting a tour, or kids can play at the cool playgrounds. There is an eating area and sitting areas all around.. You can buy some fish food and feed the large ducks and extremely large fish in the pond.. enjoy a few hours here and watch your kids get excited about dinosaurs.

Thisbplace is absolutely awesome! When I heard Dino Park, I assumed it would be a faded an aging attraction from the 80s. Im happy to say, I could not have been more wrong. Everything about the park is exceptionally maintained. The museum, the exhibits/statues, and the landscaping are all fantastic quality. The park itself is quite large and you can easily spend two hours there making the price of admission a great bargain (especially for military families). The walkways are quite spacious and there are several nice trails that wind through the woods, all of which have dinosaurs leering out as well. They even have playgrounds and dinosaur themed slides alongside a beautiful picnic area by a river. If youre looking for a great place to go on a beautiful day, I cant recommend this place enough.

Dino Park is a family friendly museum with a small yet beautifully displayed 2 story indoor exhibit; miles of outdoor semi interactive dinosaur trails, including a play park and a hidden cave; and a river side walking trail that wraps the park. For those that play Pokémon look forward to over a dozen very active poke stops and 2 gyms. A great place to tire out your kids or escape the city for a relaxing walk. We found ourselves here for a kindergarten field trip. For adults, teenagers, and maybe even some teenagers the inside is cool. There are plenty of gemstones and specimens from around the state (and elsewhere). There are plenty of replica fossils and displays that are fun to see. Outside was a bit cold due to being October. But the playground area outside was a hot with the young kids and so was walking around looking at the dinosaur displays. As we were leaving, we were told about an app for the place that would allow us to not just learn more about each dinosaur displayed, but would also give us 3D pictures to see. I thought that was a cool idea and if I end up going back with my daughter, we will give that app a try.Overall, a decent place to kill a few hours if you have younger children.

At my age, I probably shouldnt be so proud to admit how much of a child I am inside, but I am. But I believe the dinosaur park in Ogden was just so cool. The museum was interesting. It contained several types of rocks, antique jewelry thats been preserved and stayed so beautiful even after so much time passing, antique weaponry (all in glass, so no injuries are possible with them), and even wood that had been around for several thousands of years to the point of turning as hard as rock. That was all in the upstairs area of the museum (and for those of you with kids and strollers, there is an elevator) and downstairs contains all the fossils of the dinosaurs who once roamed the earth. You could even look in the lab through the glass and watch the people as they work. And nust around the corner of the lab is an area where your kids can dig for fossils as well. Then, once you leave from that area to the outside, you step into the dinosaur park which is filled with lifesize sculptures of just so many types of dinosaurs and many of them, if not all of them, have a description of the dinosaurs. Its just so beautiful here and the dinosaurs make it so worth the trip. Its beautiful, and so much fun for kids. And it seems ducks like to come by and swim in the little ponds. And if you bring quarters, you and/or your kids could feed the fish they have in them as well. I truly believe this place is truly fun for anyone at any age. c: And the price to come in is fantastic, definitely worth it. (Oh, and there is a dinosaur themed playground for kids as well in this park, which is awesome for all super active, dinosaur loving children)

This place is a great place for all ages. They have a playground and archeological sand pit for young kids, exhibits for teens and adults and more including an open view room where work is ongoing. There are ducks and a goose in the water and you can purchase 25 cent handfuls of food to feed them. The goose is a hog. Also, see if you can find the one-legged duck. Make sure it gets some food. The others like to pick on it.One concern I have is the plethora of extension cords everywhere. It is not a new issue but seems to be the accepted fix when something doesnt have power. They have even gone to the extent of directly burying extension cords in the ground, under sidewalks and paving over them. I would venture to guess this is not code and does not look safe. They need an electrician to come in and do it properly. Also some maintenance is needed on various displays and enclosures.Glad to have been able to go.

I love the George Eccles Dinosaur Park. There is a decent sized museum with various fossils on display. There is also a lab where you can watch a fossil being extracted from the plaster it is shipped in. The staff will usually hang a paper in the window telling what type of animal the fossil was from. There are a couple animatronic dinosaurs in the museum as well. There is a park for the kids to play in and 3 dig sand pits where kids can dig up either buried Dino bones or gems. The gem pit costs extra but you get to take the gems with you.The best part of the park however, is the outside trail with large dinosaur replicas of around 30 different species of dinosaur and a couple other extinct animals. Most of the trail is paved and well marked. The dinosaur models each have an information board to tell you a little about it. The poses are great, many of which give awesome photo opportunities.
