Im not one to HAVE to escape a room, and the wife and I did the Kindergarten room ( it was labelled easier difficulty). We did get terribly stuck on the first puzzle. 30 minutes went by and wed solved a fair few of the subsequent puzzles before we were unable to continue. Had to ask for a clue.. I confess, the clue we got didnt help. Asked for another and the nice lady came in and helped with an explanation.Once that was sorted, we solved a flurry of locks, got stumped again, and another clue / visit sorted us out...All in all? Its a room. Its got some puzzles which dont necessarily make sense, but I suppose with more than 2 people, someone might think laterally. We DID eventually make it out, with like 3 minutes spare, and all the locks worked for us. 4 stars for accomodating us, for helping out.. and for being pleasant, cheerful, and once it was obvious we didnt understand - giving us appropriate help.If youre used to multiple-room escape rooms, this one is a bit.. .2010, but worth a whirl. All props go to our room-mistress, without whom wed have just given up..
Had a wonderful time here! It was definitely difficult, but also not too difficult that no one could solve it. We went in with a group of 6 and that ended up being the perfect amount of brain power to solve it.
The kindergarden escape room was impossible as one of the locks was broken. Advice for the people that work there check to see if the escape room actually works before going in.
We are escape room junkies and have played almost 100 games all over the world, and, yet, we still approach each and every game with an open mind and adrenaline fueled excitement. So, it was with great regret that when we walked in the room to play Escape from Kindergarten, we realized what a huge mistake we made in booking this one. The room was very small. There were four of us playing and there still wasnt enough to do to keep each person occupied. The set design was very poor - marked up, dirty walls, dirty floor, minimal decor. If I had a child going to kindergarten in a classroom that looked like this, I would be moving to another area or selling all my possessions to send him/her to a private school. The puzzles werent entirely logical, and it felt as though things were just randomly thrown in to keep the game going. I cant be very specific on some of the puzzles, but I can say that there were several that we found to be ridiculous.I am an avid supporter of escape rooms, but I am also a person who believes that there are rooms out there that can hurt the industry as a whole. This is one of them. There are much, MUCH better games to spend your money on. Dont waste it here.
The women was very slow and when she gave us “hints” although it was really her just telling us what to do. And they don’t make sure that the locks work because when ending the last lock wouldn’t work and so it was 160$ down the drain because you couldn’t even escape
The helper was incompetent and escape room was impossible. One of the locks was broken and the room was very dirty. BTW we did the Kindergarten room. Some of the rooms were not logical.
First escape room experience. The staff was great, everything was explained well, and the clues were good without being too easy. Would go back to try a different room.
Decent puzzle place! Its even a bit too hard to find. Would definitely go back, but wish theyd offer more time or the option of extending once u realize how ridiculously hard it is that only 22% of groups escape.
The helper lady was incompetent also one of the locks was broken and couldnt be opened
Did this as a team building event with my staff and it was really fun. Although we didnt escape we had a good time. The building doesnt have an outdoor sign to say where theyre located. Not even to say that they are upstairs. Its very unassuming, but still fun.
This is a fun little place tucked away just outside the village of Carlsbad. A good amount of story mixed in with the puzzles makes for a great fun time. Good Groupon offers as well!
Great place for Team Building or just fun with friends.
The puzzles were fun and well put together and they were very accommodating to changes in our schedule. Its a bit difficult to find the first time - Its in unit H on the second floor. Take the stairs next to the lamppost to get to the main entrance.
For Lease sign in window.
Fun birthday party activity
Challenging series of puzzles with good interactions with host team.
We had so much fun.
It was a ton of fun. Some of the clues were a bit of a reach but still very solid.
Fun experience to do with friends and very friendly people who run the whole thing.
So much fun for the entire family.
