This is the best movie house I have ever been through. They have updated movies at very affordable ticket rates. The chairs and couches are very comfortable to use. They also offered food and drinks at a very affordable price as well. This is the best place to watch the latest movies together with your friends, loved ones, or others. Highly recommended!
Wonderful theater home! I wasnt hoping this location could get my heart. Ill certainly be giving this location my cherished5 stars! They had their yummy snacks and enjoyed Fries which was really wonderful. A theater house enjoyed that was perfect to remain with your family and friends too. Trust me!
Clear screen, great sound, and a perfect place for a movie house. I was shocked on how transparent this place could cost me. It was very suitable for my budgets. We truly enjoyed the place and the movies we did watch that day. I will honestly be telling all of my friends about this marvelous place. A magnificent staff to deal with.
I came on $5 Sunday to see Get Out, which is an R rated movie. There is a rule here at Jack London Regal Theater that even with parental guidance, children under 7 years old are not permitted at all. I was not able to Get In to see Get Out.The area was nice and we were able to view the waterfront and enjoy exploring the many shops nearby in Jack London Square.
Great local theater with free validation for the parking structure across the street! Love the tickets deals on Sundays. Was clean and the seats were comfy. Nothing super fancy, straightforward viewing opportunity in beautiful Jack London square area. Would be great for a meal and movie date
We went to this theater years ago and apparently forgot why we didnt go back. As a result, we did go there again. I really dislike paying for a movie ticket and then having 45 minutes of ads stuffed down my throat. There were even ads between the trailers. If I wanted to watch ads, I can see them for free on broadcast TV, but I dont, I never watch commercial TV. Likewise, Ill remember this experience and never again go to this or any other Regal theater. Go to a decent chain such as Landmark, or go to the Grand Lake.
Comfortable seating. The lobby and theaters are kept clean. Good place to catch a flick.
This is a nice movie theater, very clean and nice people who work there . There is a parking garage across the street and every thing is well lit at night. Pretty much a winner .
Perfect little theater with a parking garage right across the street. Make sure to take your parking voucher and get it validated in the theater
No nonsense movie theater. Parking is easy. Concession stand works smoothly. Seating is comfortable.
Most comfortable seats of any theater chain, no joke. excellent screens and audio. parking validation for the huge lot across the street.
The theater is clean and the staff are friendly. The seats could be a bit wider for comfort but otherwise its a good movie experience. With validation, you can get three hours of free parking for the movie and the lot is directly across the street.
I suggest going on Tuesdays because they have discounted tickets and you can still see new movies. I use this with my Regal app and each ticket comes out to only being around $6, plus get a large popcorn with a refill and youre set for pretty much the whole time.I will say that if you go here security will check bags and purses so just be aware of that.
Nice for a older theatre. Can use some better seats. And the bathroom toilets are extremely low.
Love regal especially on Tuesday and Sundays. Reduced Prices on those days. Usually have newer movies but needs to be updated!
$5 Sundays are great! Parking SUCKS. Cinemas are... Cozy.
Sence I did the $21.00 a month thing to see what ever i want to watch its totally cool.
One of my favorite spots, just wish they would add more to their movie library. Like throw some old cine and some anime in there. Prices are as expeacted but for tickets they have a 22 dollar deal where its unlimited every month.
My family and I love going to Jack London Square Theater and they validate parking.
I have a Regal Unlimited pass, so I.go there very often. Great movies.
I think Sundays are $5, which is pretty good. Also they validate parking.
Went to see knives out with my wife and the staff were super nice and helpful. 10/10 would go again if it wasnt 500 miles from my home in San Diego.
I always go to this theatre and they got sundays and tuesdays a good price $6.50 for show. And good prices in the fountain for pop corn
This hasnt been my first time here. I really enjoyed this theater. There is parking right across the street and they even validate the ticket for you. There is good wheel chair access throughout the theater. There were no long lines anywhere so I was very happy about that. The staff were very courteous and helpful. I keep coming back because its easy fun and never a hassle.
$9.50 matinee and bathrooms are clean. Seating is comfy. Sometimes they have security at the door looking into your purses/backpacks (so beware people who sneek snacks in)
Staff was friendly and theater is clean and comfortable. Also accessible.
Very clean theater with extremely comfortable seats. Convenient parking lot facility and theater will validate your parking receipt.
This theatre has always been clean and great location for convenient restaurants to enjoy before or after a movie!
This theater is very dear to me. There is a parking building in front that you can get it stamped so you dont have to pay. There is ice cream that you can get after the movie or before whatever rocks your boat.Ppl that work there are nice and friendly.
The movie theater is fine, however the people that go on the discount days can make you want to go on full price days. People using their phones during the movie, talking and the worst people bringing children to rated R horror movies. Children under 12 shouldnt be allowed into rated R movies with or without parents. No one pays for a movie to hear crying kids and parents shhhing them.
Good movie theater on Sundays and Tuesdays $5.75 days...
I love Jack London Cinema! It has gotten much better than it used to be. The security guard is very professional yet cordial. J is also handsome.
Very good theatre for people in wheelchairs like myself. Love the movie selection.
Nice little theater in Jack London Square Oakland. They validate parking for the garage across the street.
Decent theater overall if a bit run down. Parking validation is provided for the garage across the street. My main complaint for this theater is that on more than one occasion there were other moviegoers that felt the need to talk, take phone calls, etc. throughout the movie. Not really the theaters fault but it did make me less inclined to go back.
Aconamy time was a bit to high. But good place to see movie.
Nice old school feel to this theater. The cinema rooms are smaller, maybe half the size of regular theater, like AMC in Emeryville. But still very nice and clean. Assigned seats which is also convenient and not stressful, as it guarantees your seat. Parking is off street meters or the adjacent pay per hour parking building, which can be validated in the movie theater.
Really chill movie place not crowded n thats wat i love security guy funny n friendly
On discount Tuesday, you need a REGAL CARD, to get the discounts to get in and for refreshments. Too much of a hassle. More than 15 African Americans were in line behind me ( without a card). Some of us were able to download the application to our cellphones. I refuse to attend this theater, EVERY!
Spur of the moment, went to a 1:30 pm matinee on a whim. Practically had the theater to ourselves - us and eleven more. Great time to go to this theater-if you like less crowds. Staff is very pleasant too.
Dated seats, but great prices for movies in the area.
My always Go-to theater to watch movies prices are still good (they used to be better) and security/ticket person are really cool and friendly
I Went to See a Wonderful Movie, Harriet Tudman Awesome,.
Great time as always good food and low prices. Clean and comfortable seating
I love this place. I grew up going here.
Nice theater for a weekend day out
Prices for movie tickets are fair. Food is a little pricy, but pretty much all theatres charge a lot for snacks (they gotta pay the clean up crew somehow, lol). People are usually quiet here, so you can enjoy the movie.
Wasnt over crowded even in the evening for a new movie (Captain Marvel). The price was fair and parking was good. Food is never cheap but it was in line with most places and better than others, the theater was clean and staff was polite and helpful.
First time at this theater. Looks nice inside & restroom was very clean, and they validate the parking garage across the street. However, the seats in the theater were very uncomfortable. They look nice, but the seat part of it was not as cushiony as I would have liked. I kept turning from side to side to try to get comfortable.
Comfortable seats. Neat and clean bathrooms. Courteous staff
Good memories. Was a regular here
Fine theater, not too modern.
Nothing bad to say, but then again, not many great things to say, either.I always enjoy myself when I see a movie here. Its convenient to my area. The staff are nice. Theaters are clean. Like I said, nothing bad to say.
My daughter * I really enjoyed ourselves liked movie too it was comfortable for me too
I had a movie date and Jack London Cinema was the place to be. We both enjoyed the movie
Is this theater open nowadays?
I love the place. It is a top of the line and the screens are great and the lobby is wonderful. I like it because it does not have any kids games where I have to feed a machine 5 dollars for my kid. Bad enough I pay like 44 dollars for me and my wife and child and 2 neighbor kids.
Pricing is amazing, compared to most theaters.. The theatre seats I wish could be up to date with recliners, but for only $9 tickets why should I complain?!?!
Always have a great seat here, and parking is validated. I also like not having to sign up for a seat ahead of time.
Still cool place but not as booming as it used to be and the whole surrounding area isnt neither but does need a new redevelopment area for the city. As to make it a place to come to and support and tare down certain parts of old buildings and place new stuff and make it a place to come to and draw people and safety is another issue in the area for the community to support Oakland a lot stronger in there city business and services and need new jobs and that whole area needs to be fix and change and big support from the community and still support your local movie theater.
I Havent been there in awhile, but is was very comfortable and peaceful. KeepGod1st
Nightmare! Power shortage! Rude employees...Rude security staff...terrible place...
Clean, easy to find parking and most recent movies. Not really much you can ask for a standard movie theater.
Classic 90s style decor may disappoint or depress some. I love the reto feel. This theater is a time capsule.
Went to Creed 2 yesterday and got there a bit early to get a good seat. Theater played commercials full blast volume for a half hour prior to film. SUPER annoying since I payed to get in. Go to Grand Lake theatre this pace needs to fail. And they wonder why people Netflix and chill these days?
Regal Cinemas is located in the Jack London neighborhood of Oakland, California. Parking on the Street is available but it fills up fast especially at night and on the weekends. There is a multi level parking lot across the Street. The theaters are a little small, but the have plenty of leg room. Moderately clean facilities with a wheelchair accessible entrance. Credit cards accepted. Sunday night you can see a movie for a little under $6.00. .Thank you to the owner for responding. I look forward to giving your place another try and hopefully raising my review. Ill click on the link and give as much information as I can.Eric San José
The staff are is very friendly and have Smiles with their customer service! Most of the time during the day the older staff works the front selling in collecting tickets and they are great! They are very greetable and always have the same attitude which is always great when I come and see a movie all the time so I love consistency in customerservice I really really do keeps me going back if you know what I mean? The younger staff works in the commissary area with the popcorn, drinks and such and they, too, have the same great attitude as their older peers as well! There is ample parking with a parking structure across the street. Restaurants in walking distance after movie if you want to go with your family or a date such as the Buttercup restaurant Dominos Pizza, Nations Burger, and the list goes on and on and on. (Oh, I almost forgot. This theater also has armed security officers! ) They always peep in and out, walking around inside the movie theater indiscreetly while youre trying to watch a movie. By the way, I feel that it is important to let the Google reviewers know that this theater had armed security way before the theater shootings some years ago. Therefore, this tells me, as well as it should you, that the management at Jack London theater, as well as the Regal Cinemas Corporation, are considerate enough to not only try to make our movie going experience enjoyable, but also try to keep movie patrons safe and protected. Enjoy!
I was pleasantly surprised by how cheap tickets were when I went on a Sunday. On the other hand, I was pretty irritated the security guard searched my wife’s bag. The security guard was nice enough and assured us he was only looking for weapons and booze, but I’m not into being searched for no reason. I probably wouldn’t go again, but if you’re not put off by the search it’s a good deal.
Good set of movies, GREAT employees...
Comfortable seat, clean environment.
Gotta love movies on Tuesdays, plus Jack London is a fun area to spend some time in.
I like the $5 Tues&Sunday and validated parking
I think they raised their Sunday prices from 5.45 to 7.45 but still good price!
We enjoy this theater very much. Always clean & friendly staff
Ive been hanging out here since I was a kid with my family. Its a cool place to hangout.
Nice place to go see a movie
Best movie theater! Staff is awesome
Gotta support anyone not amc or century... They have parking validation too
On sundays they bring in Christian freaks to make revinew. I will be sure to avoid this situation again. I guess $15 for a ticket & $10 for 10cents soda isnt enough.. GREED DOUBLED UP ON SUNDAYS
Theater was good. Movie was excellent. Captain Marvel. Sad their Sunday prices went up from $5 to $8.45, but still a good price.
Fairly standard movie theater, with easy parking directly across the street, and the theater validates your parking tickets for free.
This is a good location. Theres parking across the street thats free from the validation machine in the theater. Do not go here on Sundays for popular movies on opening weekends. Its always packed cuz its 5 dollars. If you do go on Sunday, dont plan on getting there 20 minutes before the movie starts, it will be sold out. Best plan is get the ticket in the morning for a later showing. People are loud during the movies, especially on Sundays.
Great location. Tons of parking (validated by theater). Older spot, not huge but good movie variety. Popcorn, as always, yum!
My favorite movie spot in the Bay!
Seats are okay. Popcorn is okay. Just not as good as Alameda.
Great movies and prices. However the theater seats need to be refurbished. They squeak when you move and the arm rails are hard & uncomfortable.
I really enjoyed my visit here. The theater was clean and pleasant. I also found it to be visually attractive. Im hearing impaired and I usually use the hearing assistance device that the theater provides but I didnt need it because the sound in the theater was loud enough. Ive been to this theater several times and never knew that the theater validates parking in the garage across the street.
Its lit I go there all the time
3 hour free parking across the street. Spacious lobby. Theaters surround lobby (no need to walk down hallways) Somewhat comfy seating. Clean aisles. But theyve reduced their food options as well as the font on their menus so theyre difficult to read
I used to love going here, until there was an armed gaurd telling me, you can get your refund right there.. (pointing to the box office) if I didnt let him search my bag. Theres plenty of other theaters i can go to without my civil liberties being in jeapordy.
Had great night
And okay theater. A bit on the old-fashioned side. Need Red Hots Hot Tamales and other individual candies
Clean, lots of great films, truly nice staff, free parking in the lot across the street. Whats not to like!
Nice theatre, nothing extravagant but very clean and well-staffed! Usually not super busy which is a nice perk :)
We love coming for the $5 movies on Tuesdays and Sundays. You just need a Regal card, which is free and they will give it to you at the ticket window. You get points for using it and you can use the points towards snacks and movie tickets. It does get crowded here on those days so I would recommend getting there early. They validate parking so parking in the garage is free, and its nice to walk around Jack London Square and look at the water and stuff.
