Flavorful food, casual atmosphere, friendly people, prices are very reasonable, and the restaurant is located down the street from the greatest record store in the world, Aquarius Records. Get the gamba. Or whatever leaps out. Its good stuff. Whats not to like?

Great place to go on Sundays to listen to a live blies band

This place reminds me a lot of the Blue Bayou located at the Disneyland Pirates of the Caribbean ride. Its dimly lit and designed with French vintage decor. We got everything from the gumbo, jambalaya, mud poppers to po boys, mac n cheese, and chicken grits - it was all delicious down to the last bite. The servers were friendly, music was a nice touch, and keep an eye out for their live music schedule as well as their weekday lunch buffet/specials. Enjoy!

Sometimes they play oldies, sometimes goodies. When the dance floor is full it aint no stopping. The majority of the crowd is 50 and over. They still have a background photos, its a Polaroid. The lounge is small.

My daughters and I had a great time on Sunday for the Blues session it was awesome. The singers and band were great. We will return in the future and tell others to come to the Blue Sunday.

This place is for the real mature crowd. 40 and over period. Which is a good thing. All the other spots for the seasoned folks have either closed or moved location.

No frills Town bar! Dancing, birthdays, Djs, Bands, themed nights, and only $5 cover charge on Friday and Saturday. On the weekend come dressed to dance and flirt. Might look a bit ghetto but old school Oakland Gem! All r welcome!

Its an 60s+, but party crowd; moderate CA drink prices; close to public transportation; ok interior, dj, and bartender.

The drink was ok but both of the bartenders were rude tried to buy another drink but both bartenders walked off like I didnt exist I guess I wasnt bougie enough for there environment...

Friendly people and nice music

Though it was not what we were expecting. The crowd was dated as well as the dj and the atmosphere. The drinks were so strong as I tasted my friends that it had it be taken back to even it out, which made it worst.

Best club to hear live music. Best dance club in Oakland.
