This place is a beautiful magical area on the river. Lots of fish and good swimming and clear beautiful water. Please pick up your trash and take it with you. Keep it clean and beautiful. Please Do Not Litter!! We love it here.
A wonderful place to spend a few hours. In August, there are a number of people swimming but there are plenty of picnic tables in the afternoon shade. Nice area for fishing, rafting and just kicking back. They have cleared a number of entrances to the water. You could pay for spots that wouldnt be as nice.
Easy river access. Most recently kayaker from Knights Ferry to Oak Valley park. The first beaches have steep banks so be prepared to get a work out when you put out.
Had a great time with the family and dogs today, the site host was very accomodating with letting us double park behind my fathers truck in a safe position and plenty of room for others to enjoy the small parking lot,all in wonderful day!!
Beautiful Campsite in the shade which is 10 to 15 degrees cooler than in the Sun. We had lots of space with a small river access. The camp host Ralph is delightful and kept it nice and tidy for us. The one negative is the walk from the parking lot to the campsite, definitely bring a wagon and minimize your stuff!
Nicely kept
Beautiful place to hike and see the river. We didnt camp there but they do have camping available there and there are toliets.
Nice people and good water
This is my dog Peppers favorite place. He doesnt want to leave. He loves to jump in the river.
Had a wonderful day.
Great place to camp and fish..water is a little high so no wading areas right now
Open sunrise to sunset. Boat in camping with reservations through army corps park in knights ferry, i believe. There is park hosts on site, for information. Great place to stop and go for a nice long quiet hike along the bank of the Stanislaus River. Put in or take out your raft, canoe or kayak. Limited parking.
Beautiful natural area with easy to walk and clean trails right next to the river.
This is a lovely area to enjoy the Stanislaus River - a well-maintained river park with a mile long trail dotted with wild grape and trees.
Lovely place not too far from town
This river has alot of souls within becareful for your kids .
Easy access and great swimming, fishing amd kayaking
There are city parks in the neighboring areas that cover more ground. It might as well be a city park with houses on all sides. Im also not too thrilled that whoever working there called the game warden on me as soon as I got there. If I wanted to be questioned by law enforcement at a park I could have went to a city park. If it wasnt for Geocaching I wouldnt have even gone there. Definitely wont go back
I liked going there to take a walk and sitting by the river for awhile enjoying nature. A nice place to visit and get away from the city.
Great little park with a short flat walking trail.
Very nice good spot to drop in to kayak
