Easily my favorite of the forest preserve courses, and extra gorgeous in the fall.

I love the layout and the feeling of being in touch with nature. Since it is a forest preserve golf venue there are deer, coyotes and even an albino squirrel that roam freely over the course. Its truely a gem of the south side.

Still great but showing its age. (like we all are) Played this course in the 80s and 90s. A great value then and still a good value now. Bunker conditions need to be addressed and some overall improvement. Hope they find a way to make the subtle updates so there is an appreciation of this course for the next generation of golfers. but I am guessing politics will make that difficult. Enjoy it before its too late.

Played here for the 1st time yesterday. Very well kept course, challenging. Downside you pay for a individual cart and wont get it possibly. Very important! The guy issueing carts yesterday morning and directing players to start was condescending rude and disrespectful in his approach. I would have rated the course a 5 but I could not after remembering remarks of this guy.

The course was well-kept. It is a fun and challenging course. A bit pricey for me but worth a try.

Dunne is a tough track and can be a long 18 holes time wise. 5+ hour round. Under normal conditions, course is in good shape with undulating big greens. Plays long from the tips. Beautiful layout. A bit pricey at times.

Other than being plagued by some terrible sand traps, Dunne National is one of Chicagos, south suburbias best. It is a great risk-reward track, and its very fair. No tricks, just great golf. It should be on your bucket list!

Great course with all types of challenges. A bit pricey / out of the way, but those who make the journey are often rewarded. Also has a range.

The Nature experience combined with a challenging golf course is worth the 20 min drive from Chicago!

Good layout, not tricked up & well manicured. Greens and bunkers are fantastic. Dont be fooled by the clubhouse, this course is a must play.

Bad customer service. Went out to play 18 and they failed to mention there was a kids league with at least 20 young kids under 10 years old as well as their parents playing. Was only able to play 3 holes and the entire front nine was clogged with kids. Its really awesome to see young kids getting involved with golf but please have the staff competent enough to mention that they are out there. Easily could have been avoided by having us tee off the back 9. Terrible customer service will not be back.

Played on 5/26/15 for the first time which is sad since I have played in Chicago my entire life and never been here. Great layout. We played the blue tees at 6600+ yards and was challenging. I play at an 8 and would not want to play from the gold..7200 + yards is out of my league. Very fair course and good test. Lots of bunkers, 2 fairway bunkers (#10 & #16) were under repair but thats good, that means they are working on things. Most bunkers were in very good shape especially after getting some rain. Big tee boxes allow for lots of angles and not to get overplayed. Greens can be very challenging and learning your line off of some of the tees may take a round or 2 to figure out.Great deals are out there for this course. Not all carts had GPS so it is a plus if you can get one of those. We played late in the day and around 7:15 pm saw a deer and a coyote. Cool wildlife not far from the city. We used the range to warm up and my purchase of range balls were in good condition.Definitely will be back. Great Course!

Very nice course design with challenging greens, generous landing areas and just the right amount of water in play to keep you on your toes. Lots of well placed bunkers around the greens as well, so bring your 60 degree wedge for some great up and down opportunities as you will hit a beach or two. A true bargain for the price as this course is well maintained! Definitely will play it again in the near future!

Great course. Challenging and well laid out. Well maintained considering the level of traffic it gets. Practice facilities are lacking. Range hasnt changed in 20 years. No grass tees or short game area.

This is a Chicagoland gem. Not to be missed.

Great value in the fall ($50 for 18 with a cart). Heard its $65 in the summer which Im not sure would bring me back. Good range with both mats and grass. Best course ran by the city of Chicago.

This is a great golf course to play on. The prices can be a bit high but it makes up for it with the staff and the way the course plays.

One of the best public courses in Chicago. Pace of play is usually good and the course is almost always in great shape.

With the exception of some sand traps needing a little tlc the course was in great shape.

Most of the Forest Preserve courses in Chicago kinda suck and are beat up. George Dunne is always in great shape and doesnt cost an arm and a leg. Can not go wrong booking a tee time here.

Played this course many times back when it opened. Never again. Its a shame what has happened to one of the top public courses in the country.

Challenging course but well worth the effort. Well maintained

Loved the golf course but when you play a round in 6 hours it is not fun. This course needs to seperate tee times and enforce slow play much better. Our group sat on a par 4 for 40 minues with 6 groups on one hole at one point.... yikes! Just not that great.

Beautiful course layout, but 5 hours 20 minutes to play puts a bad taste on the experience.

Very friendly staff. Played at the crack of dawn on a Wednesday, didnt wait a single minute on other players (full round in under 2 hours).They have lost quite a few ash trees that would have protected the greens and penalized errant tee shots. If you want to challenge yourself, youll have to play the blue tees.

Nice golf course, decent difficulty typical problem of overbooking. No 3 hour 18 holes here, plan on at least 4.
