I was intially going to leave a 2 star review. However, after reading some of the others it seems like the management at Maples Golf Club seems receptive and prompt to constructive feedback. I like that. The pro shop was pleasant and kind over the phone as well as in person. Club rentals were adequate and fairly priced. As happy I was with the staff equates to about as unhappy I was with the course. You can expect some greens to dry out or swamp down during a mid August Michigan summer. But I cant explain what may have caused the greens to be so sandy on todays particular visit. On over 3 occasions I can specifically recall the debris covering the green around the hole caused my ball to stop dead in its tracks. Ill play this course again someday in the future.
Didn’t even have high expectation but this still didn’t meet them. This is single handedly the worst golf course I’ve ever played. It’s not even a real golf course, it’s holes narrowly stringed through a neighborhood. You are playing between houses the whole time. The tee boxes are dirt and the greens are sandy. One of our carts battery died in hole #6. Don’t waste your time coming here if you are looking to golf for real.
Great staff that is very helpful. Fun course tucked into a quiet neighborhood. Beautiful escape from the city for a couple hours. Highly recommend for the beginner or golf enthusiast looking to get a few holes in to stay sharp! Also the Merch is all priced very competitively, best deals in town.
An executive golf course, so no par 5 holes, in a residential area. Some of the holes are challenging. All in all a fun course
I visited here after reading all negative reviews, and so I thought I would give it a try. Its basically all par 3 courses except 1 or 2 holes, even if some says theyre par 4 with 200 yd. You will not need a driver for entire courses if you hit 200+ yards, you will lose your ball or you will be able to find it at someones backyard. If you want to practice par 3 holes with cheaper price rather than driving range, you can try. Houses are very close to the greens but if you dont care someone watching you while you playing golf youll be okay. Overall courses need some maintenance but I think this is decent course for $15. Greens are slow.
Great local course they have a nice county club as well love coming here right before fall really hits
Pretty cheap. It’s a par 3 and par 4 course. They also have soccer golf. I’m excited to try they next time!
So confusing and no directions when I checked in. Had to ask were hole 11 is just to find out you must repeat 1-9. Front desk guy gave no direction except “you’re all set”. Course was nasty in spots with animal poop everywhere you could step in. Not worth $17, I would rather pay 30 and go somewhere cleaner and not so confusing. You literally can’t find the holes driving thru a subdivision. Do not recommend.
The staff was friendly. They need another person at least. The greens were decent. The tee boxes were a little rough. Value golf.
Maple Golf Clubs employees were very nice and a very cheap and good field to play on
Rude staff, got kicked out for riding on the grass when I wasn’t told anything, lol, joke of a place.
Very nice 9 hole executive course with 3 short par 4s and a couple long 3s. Challenging enough to tune up your irons and short woods/hybrids game. Pretty fast and undulating greens to really challenge your putting. Most fairways are narrow up the middle with steep drop offs on either side. If youre not a dead straight hitter, plan on losing a couple balls in the woods and water. $20 for 9 holes and a cart. If you want to play 18, you just play the same course twice for a few bucks more. I have played here a couple times and will go back again.
Really tight par 3 with houses 60 feet in every direction, aswell as poorly maintained greens riddled with ant hills and dry as can be.
Ive enjoyed this course for several years, but apparently its changed ownership just this season. So far so good, but well see
Great challenge as a 9-hole executive course, new owners, retail golf store on site, very reasonable rates.
The only reasons why I didnt give this course one star is that beggars cant be choosers, and the greens are in decent shape. This is a par 30 course. It has three par 4s, two of which are around 200yds. The rest are all par 3s. I probably wouldnt have played this course knowing that fact.My lawn is cut better than the fairways and tee boxes. The entire course is lined with condos that are way too close to the holes...which doesnt make sense because typically a practice course like this isnt frequented by golfers that hit the ball consistently straight. The price isnt bad before Memorial Day ($15) but it goes up in the summer and Id never pay over $20 to play this course. In this area golf courses with leagues are difficult to book on weekday afternoons, so I was happy to be able to get a tee time here, but I dont think Ill be back.
Golf course is immaculate and I have also played soccer golf there. It was awesome! However I lost to my son and hes a bad winner.
Weird course but generally ok
Great time at this hidden gem
Very hilly and tight
No directions from hole to hole, and definately not worth 10 bucks. $3-$5 maybe.
Nice executive course and plenty of windows to break lol
Poorly maintained
Great course good price Tom and Bob take good care of the place
Good place
